You have to unlock the Bootloader then install TWRP
After that boot to TWRP go to Wipe select Advanced Wipe
Choose everything except internal storage
Then flash the Rom
Or
You can use the Fastboot method

Hi, how can I receive this beta by OTA?

I updated through the updater app, so no need for an unlocked bootloader. Since it's a public beta I think it doesn't need to be unclocked.

Can I install OTA from the screenshot via updater? Will it wipe my data?

I have a question
By saying that it wipes out all data what are we laking about like accounts and setting? Or some personal files will all of the apps remain? And if someone tested the rom are there any bugs(indian variant)

[OTA] Official Marshmallow build MCG24.251-5

WARNING: THIS HAS BRICKED PHONES! It is suspected that having an encrypted phone causes these bricks, but that has not been confirmed. If your data partition is encrypted, it is extra important that you perform a factory reset before taking this OTA. Doing this will remove the encryption.
WARNING: INSTALLING THIS ON A LOCKED BOOTLOADER WILL ELIMINATE ALL CHANCE OF YOU EVER UNLOCKING YOUR BOOTLOADER.
If your bootloader is unlocked, it will not be re-locked after this update.
Do NOT flash this using TWRP. If you want to do that, use this version: http://forum.xda-developers.com/droid-turbo/development/rom-mcg24-251-5-100-stock-t3512949
So if you're a bad enough dude to flash this anyway, follow these instructions:
1. Backup all data on your phone. It will be lost.
2. If your bootloader is locked, make sure you are on SU4TL-49. If you aren't, take all available OTAs until you are.
3. If your bootloader is unlocked and you have TWRP installed, flash SU4TL-49 using this package: https://mega.nz/#!3xRhiaSR!KxH2Ya_BYK4zBjrxmej7dqaaDJVT1coTFJVJ5Fvb2WM
4. If you have TWRP installed on your phone, download the stock SU4TL-49 recovery here: https://mega.nz/#!L1AkQD4T!qoZIlLa-wuUBLMEi_gE574meiHd6Pehb34a-x3Gb-V8 and install it using the install image option in the install menu in TWRP. Reboot to recovery.
3. Perform a factory reset using the stock recovery menu. This will wipe all data and ensure that everything is formatted exactly as it should be.
4. Boot the phone normally and place the marshmallow update on the root of the directory that pops up when you plug in your phone.
5. Boot to recovery and at the stock recovery menu, select "apply update from sdcard."
6. Select the update and cross your fingers.

This used to always be Motorola's naming scheme. New updates were named after the firmware version they replaced.

Strange. Try reflashing SU4TL-49. If my TWRP package doesn't do it for you, use the full firmware package and do it manually with fastboot.
Installed successfully on two devices.

lol. lawd, No. Ive been rocking status 3 for over a year.
As a tip, if anyone else with an unlocked bootloader runs into this,
what i had to do was restore my su-44 unmodified backup, OTA to SU-49, and then, after confirming my
q/e status was 0/1 i was able to update via the file in my Mega download folder. all is well now. they even added the newer version of command center. sweet. thank you all!!

Just my

Yes it should. See instructions in OP.

[ROM] MCG24.251-5 100% Stock

Flash using TWRP. This will flash all files in the MCG24.251-5 update except for recovery.
New features in this update that I've noticed:
-Marshmallow, aged to perfection in Verizon's own servers. Only one major release version obsolete, and with outdated security patches!
-WiFi calling (woooooo! Those custom roms just got another carrier-specific, unportable feature to compete with)
-The command center widget has been replaced with the Droid Turbo 2 version
Get it here: https://mega.nz/#!G1xg1aYa!fm2hUL7hDDVaxTAj_iPbtY61P-8VrQEvoOJiVsDtdho
Here's the stock recovery image if you want it: https://mega.nz/#!r1wDQRCJ!KHbo_Q6L-WE_VyB1x8W4FbT6PrerPEyn9H1C6VUAyf8
Flashing this rom updates the bootloader to a version that can communicate with the kernel to tell SafetyNet that it is unlocked, causing it to fail. Fret not, however, as there are two options to fix this:
OPTION 1: Flash the SU4TL-49 bootloader using the following TWRP package: https://mega.nz/#!6logEaIQ!q8qPJw65Upt38Hxiu1JyxErmwbgL7CBzuGzzPC0C9pQ
OPTION 2: Flash this patch made by @bhb27: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=745425885120696423
Wipe cache and dalvik/art cache after either of these options.
NOTE that these options only fix failures due to SafetyNet checking the bootloader status. It will still fail due to root, xposed and the like. There are no known consequences or side effects to either of these options, so just pick whichever one you feel like.
If you notice weird things after you flash this rom (long boots other than the first one which is supposed to be long, random reboots, etc.) try flashing the stock recovery image and factory resetting.
If you want root, flash this version of SuperSU first, then flash whatever newer version you want: https://download.chainfire.eu/751/SuperSU/
If you have trouble flashing this, try TWRP Mod 3 instead of Mod 4.
Ouch, you have almost full flash inside archive, with bootloader too... Who is the most brave, introduce yourself ))
+ mirror
I can confirm that it works on old bootloader.
I had SULT-49 5.1 installed before and I just flashed this via TWRP. I haven't taken the OTA. It works perfectly. Thank you.
PS: My bootloader now is moto-apq8084-70.95 (2016-06-29). Do you have same version after taking OTA?
Did you have to wipe the system, data and cache first like you would with a new ROM or just dirty flash it?

Well, you can't really install the update.zips in TWRP. They do install the files it contains but fail when it tries to install update.app.
(You also need to flash the Public zip before HW. Because that zip wipes everything in /data/hw_init/ before installing so you'd lose the things HW installed if you flashed that first.)
You can update using: OTA if it finds any, Firmware Finder, HWOTA (https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-9/how-to/guide-mate-9-flash-update-package-t3593108), or paid alternatives.
Latest is B187 on http://pro-teammt.ru/firmware-database/?firmware_model=MHA-L29C185&firmware_page=0
But it's EMUI 5.0.1, not 5.1. Only 5.1 is some Chinese beta I think.

Root users beware: issues with newer TWRP version!
This article only applies to users running TWRP recovery on a rooted device. Don't have TWRP or don't know what this means? You're probably fine.
If you've recently installed or updated TWRP recovery, you might have faced that you can't install anything with it, and that the start screen is immediately shown when updating your device via Oxygen Updater.
Why is this happening to me?
From what it seems, this issue is caused by TWRP versions 3.2.2-0 and 3.2.3-0 being incompatible with the storage encryption technology present on OnePlus devices.
Normally, you're asked to enter your PIN or unlock pattern before installing an update / flashing something yourself. However, these new TWRP versions don't prompt for it anymore. Therefore, accessing the storage space of your device is no longer possible.
This is really frustrating, as almost all of your updates / .zip files are stored there. But luckily, there is a solution:
How do I fix this issue?
First of all, if you don't have encryption turned on or are not facing this issue, do not proceed with the steps below since flashing a new version of TWRP can be risky.
Now for the the solution: it involves downgrading TWRP to an earlier version, in which installing updates still worked correctly.
The downgrade can be done either by using a computer with the fastboot command, or by using flashing apps such as the Official TWRP app or Flashify on your device itself.
These are the steps you'll need to do:
- Make sure to download TWRP version 3.2.1-1 for your specific device. This is the version which worked fine, and is still fairly recent.
- Flash the version of TWRP using your method of choice. For fastboot users, connect your device to your computer in Fastboot mode and type fastboot flash recovery twrp-3.2.1-1-<yourdevice>.img. When using any of the flashing apps, browse to the correct TWRP.img file and flash it.
- Reboot your device. You'll now be able to access the working version of TWRP
- Do not update your TWRP version until it has been confirmed that this issue has been resolved.
Thanks to Peter Aarnoutse for reporting this issue.
So since twrp latest works fine on my device with encryption included, I can just start the update?

Can you confirm that you used Oxygen Updater in Automatic mode to flash new OTA and you didn't loose data/root/twrp?
Have TWRP 3.2.3 and installed 5.1.11 just fine.

Didn't disable my pattern lock..worked just fine.
I downloaded the zip online and installed through TWRP. Just make sure to reinstall your TWRP installer after installing the full rom OTA (wipe cache/dalvik first), then reboot back into TWRP and install Magisk..then boot into system.
The OOS 5.1.11's camera is ****tier than the 5.1.9 as you can read on the official thread on oneplus's forum, some people are advising not to upgrade

Used Oxygen updater to download zip. Rebooted to bootloader. Went Install and selected ZIP. then added TWRP zip as well. Installed both. Rebooted to bootloader again. Flashed elementalx kernel(you can skip it) and magisk. All works fine.

Install stable ROM from Open Beta 8

Hi there!
I want to go back to stable ROM but I don't find the way to do it.
-From stock recovery: I don't have any option to install from internal storage.
-From System updates: Appears the message "the package version is lower than current. You can't install it..."
How can I go back to stable?
Regards.

Well, just unlock bootloader (you're gonna lost everything)
Then install custom recovery and flash stable rom

Ok. If I install custom recovery and flash stable rom, will I get the stock recovery again?

Use the rollback zip and then OTA updates until the latest. Or use the MSM Tool

Thank you so much benny3 :good:
Wait until the stable tree has caught up with the beta.
Do not take any additional beta software and wait for the state tree to pass the beta.
This will allow you to upgrade and not rollback.
This will allow you to keep your data and not wipe.

Just check xda or OnePlus (you can use Oxygen Updater app too) from time to time to see when the next stable is released. Once that happens, download the zip file and try the local upgrade via system settings.
If you want to do this, DO NOT update your system to the newest Open Beta anymore if one is released, wait for the next stable.

You could encounter some serious issues by dirty flashing a stable over a beta. The best option is to always do a full wipe
Can you backup data only using TWRP on beta and restore the data with no issues after flashing stable??
