I have a Skypower bluetooth clip on headset and also a Sony Ericsson HBH-65 headset. Both work fine for pick up/cancel calls when using the xda2 with nothing installed. Because I have a Holux bluetooth gps, I needed to install the fantastic blutooth tools program which made the gps operate flawlessly, however if I now discover and pair either headset neither will work. They both bring up bluetooth tools, I have only one installed at any one time, I install as headset and everything seems fine but when making/receiving calls with headset mode activated, the headset does nothing, the calles arent routed to the headset, its as if the headset doesnt exist. Anybody have a suggestion please :?:
I have now reverted to pocket bluetooth tools 1005 and everything working normally again. If anybodt else has this problem please let me know if you managed to solve it as I prefer the latest bluetooth tools.
The only problem i found with the new bluetooth tools is that you have to click on the 'bluetooth headset is enabled' in the profile menu which you really need to keep on the today screen all the time, i found i just tap the bluetooth icon in the bluetooth tools menu, then tap on the enable in the profile menu and i can the make and end and answer calls using the button on the headset, when making calls you can only dial either the number you just typed in, or the last number dialled
Bluetooth tools e Qtek 2020
Where can I find 'bluetooth headset is enabled' ?
Thank you,
Click Start, Settings, Today, then the items tab. Put a tick in the "profile" box.
Cheers
Hi,
in general I am very happy with my Sensation XE (latest Stock ROM) - but I have one big issue with the bluetooth headset during phone calls.
The BT headset (Plantronics Discovery 975) is paired and incoming and outgoing calls start perfectly on the headset.
The issue is:
when a notification (e.g. calender alarm, sms arriving) goes off, the sound is routed to the phone speaker and NOT returning back to the BT headset. This is quite annoying when you are driving and all of a sudden the phone call is on your phone speaker and no longer on the BT headset.
I have found no settings where I can force that during a call the sound stays on the BT headset and that e.g. notifications are broadcasted to the headset as well.
Anybody having the same issue? What/how do I need to tweak the phone to have the BT headset properly working.
Many thanks for any help!!
Partial solution found ...
Hi - after the wave of replies to my post, I spend some time again to work out / find a solution.
The solution for me is the app "Toggle Settings Pro" (costs a few bugs on the market). It seems to be the only (? - at least I had tried out a couple) profile switcher program where you can create a rule based on "Incoming Calls" / "Outgoing Calls". During a call a profile is switched on that sets the phone to Silent Mode. Works perfect, but the app has a little bug that needed a workaround.
I had created a rule that switches on the Silent Mode on trigger "Incoming Call - Is Connected". I had expected that it would switch to Silent Mode only if you accept the call (=> is connected) but unfortunately it triggers the switch already during ringing. Basically the phone did not ring any more because the Silent mode was switched on too early.
So I created another rule that gets triggered when "Incoming call - is ringing" and on pick-up of the call the silent mode is kicking in.
Sounds a bit complicated, but this is the solution of the problem for me.
I recently got a Bluetooth headset, but I would like to know if there is a tool or program that will announce the incoming caller and the sender of text messages on the bluetooth headset. At the moment, I use Call Announcer Free, which works nicely, but it says the caller/text sender on the phone speaker as well as the headset. I only want the headset, while the notification plays on the phone because I don't want my phone to blurt out my girlfriend is calling me.
Example of what I want:
Phone call
- Phone Speaker: Ringtone
- BlueTooth Headset: Ringtone + "You have incoming call from X"
Text Message
- Phone speaker: Notification
- BlueTooth headset: Notification + "You have new message".
I have also tried the app that apparently was on XDA called "Talk to Me", but that sadly crashes when I give it a shot. It was exactly what I wanted - it had "route to BT only" mode, so the voiceover would only trigger on the bluetooth headset, not the actual phone speaker itself.
I appreciate any help you can give me.
Cheers,
IcedCube.
I paired my phone to my in car Bluetooth but, my contacts are not syncing to the car. All my contacts are saved to my Gmail profile and I enabled access to contacts on the Bluetooth option in the phone but it's still not working.
I found out that the contacts are transfering to the car when they are stored locally on the phone. I had to save them locally and then I was able to sync them.
Works fine for me, and I have the worst bluetooth stereo ever (base model Renault OEM junk).
Hi,
I have a weird issue with what I would call - priority of Bluetooth devices in making phone calls.
Setup:
- Poco X3 Pro on the latest MIUI revision (12.5.2)
- car - Ford audio, Sync 3.4 patched yesterday to latest build, however the problem existed earlier
- Huawei Watch GT2.
Huawei Watch and Ford are paired with my phone.
The problem is affecting ability to use Ford's BT handsfree mode and talk through car's speakers and mic.
Issue #1:
- phone connected via BT to the car, no USB cable in use
- incoming calls - they are presented by car's audio system, I'm accepting the call, the conversation starts, car's audio (CD or FM radio) is muted but the call stays in phone, I need to manually pick up phone, go into active connection screen and move audio output to Ford BT device
- outgoing calls - same issue as with incoming calls
Issue #2
- phone connected with USB cable to the car audio system, Android Auto kicks in and enables BT in phone if it was switched off
- incoming calls - they are presented by car's audio system, I'm accepting the call, the conversation starts, car's audio (CD or FM radio) is muted but the call stays in phone, I can't use my phone, to go into active connection screen and move audio output to Ford BT device as it's now blocked by Andorid Auto, when I try to do the same on my car's touchscreen, using the AA phone app, Ford BT device is not even visible as available option
- outgoing calls - same issue as with incoming calls.
It happens very rarely that the phone connection audio ends up in my Huawei Watch.
When I turn off my Huwei Watch while driving the car - there is absolutely no issue, all connections properly end up in car's audio system.
I've found a workaround - found an app which presents a widget on the screen allowing to end and reestablish BT connection to my car. But as every workaround it has a drawback, I need to perform the operation twice, not even saying of taking the phone out of my pocket etc.
There was also no issue when I was using my previous phone LG G6 with Android Pie and AA installed from apk file. The car and watch were the same as now and there was absolutely no issue with phone calls being not redirected to car audio.
Can anyone share any insights on how to fix it ? It looks like some flaw in Android' or MIUI's logic to push phone call stream to the BT device which actually initiated/accepeted the call.
Thanks in advance for help.
Same here with a SEAT bluetooth system.
I discover that the problem is in the health app, if you disable permisions to telephone, contacts and registry of calls, it works, but you loose de number identification of incoming calls in the watch and you can't call through the watch.
Regards.
That's a huge lost TBH, do you suggest it's a bug on Huawei end ? Why did it work properly when I was using LG G6 on Android Pie ?
maybe....it's a bug with app of Huawei and android 11, i had a Mate 20 before the poco and never had this issue but the mate 20 have android 10...
P.D: If you see, when you make a call, the selector of audio source in the call panel variety very fast with watch and speaker...
regards.
Yes, I observed it too - when I answer the call, the audio output device selector makes some quick changes.
