Random crashes on 5.1.8 - OnePlus 6 Questions & Answers

In the recent days I've experienced crashes that made the phone reboot. One was just watching YouTube like normal, another while I played NDS emulated games and another today when I tried to turn on the flashlight while the phone was locked. Everything is stock but I hope this issue is fixed in the next version.

[Q] BBC Iplayer APP Problems

Im running 2.3.2 CM7 & 2.3.3 Detoxed with netarchy's kernel, and everytime i go to watch a video over wifi on the app the video plays normally for around 15/20 mins then the problems begin.
Video crashes totally but sound continues.
Video goes to small view on the app, with double sound with a delay between the two.
Video plays normal but with the media controls showing constantly and cant remove them.
When this happens i have to go back to the iplayer main screen pick the program again and seek to the position where it crapped out, however if there is more than 15/20 mins left it will repeat the errors again forcing me to seek back to the point where it crapped out again.
I have 10.1 Flash installed and have tried re-installing it and fixing permissions, and these errors happen under 2.3.2 & 2.3.3
Anyone else getting this ?
it's fine on stock 2.3.3
I've found it to be a very unreliable and buggy app in general. So I doubt its any problem with your device.
Just hope they are working on improving it!

Flash player slow performance

I never have had problems with my tablet's flash player performance. Suddenly i noticed that in sites like gametrailers or ign, i have to touch the screen in order to keep the video running. I ve never seen something like that on any other android device. Keep in mind this doesn t happen in youtube. What happened suddenly? I tried uninstalling the latest update of adobe flash player, i even tried a factory reset, nothing happened. Has anyone a clue about what may causing this? When i release the screen the video lags or stops completely but sound keeps running

Moto G Video Crashes

Recently, after about a day on PA 4.3, my phone started to crash whenever I try to load a vvideo. I can load up YouTube no problem, but when I click on a video, it will show the loading ring and play a small bit of sound from the video and crash. I've tried with videos I've taken with the camera as well as videos in browsers and everything, mostly it'll just crash the app, but occasionally the phone will soft reboot. I don't know the cause of this, and it frustrates me that I'm not able to watch any videos on any app without a crash. I've factory reset the phone and it still has the same issues. (Switched to CM11 and same problem as well, so its definitely the phone) Help?
This is a known issue. dhacker had fixed it and this bug should be fixed in the next build of all the ROMs that are based on CM sources.
Sent from my Moto G using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Thanks for the quick reply, I went back to 4.2 Beta 2 and I'll just rest there until the video problem is fixed, but its nice to know it won't take long.

youtube freezes randomly

youtube app freezes randomly while playing videos. it starts playing again after 10 seconds or so.
i 've also noticed that if i pull up the keyboard in another app (while youtube video is frozen), the keypress sound doesn't work.
it seems like the audio component of android craps out at random times which causes the freezing issues.
happens rarely but it's annoying nonetheless. and it only happens in youtube. never had any audio/video issues with mxplayer.
is it just my phone, or is this also happening to other folks with the z5?
running official firmware 7.1.1. I was using NOBA firmware (7.1.1) before, but i have since switched to Canadian firmware(7.1.1). So far so good, but I'm sure this problem will come back soon enough. I've also tried 7.0 Global firmware and youtube crapped out on that too.
No unlocked bootloaders/roots or anything like that. Running pure stock mode.
Full wipe and flash last rom.

YouTube video stutter

So I'm owner of unrooted Galaxy S7 (SM-G930F, Android 8.0.0) and I've came up against an issue. I was just looking at YouTube video preview a day ago and everything was ok, but yesterday in evening I've noticed that preview (muted playback in feed/autoplay) actually has a little frame lag/freeze/stutter at the very beginning of the video (like on 0.5 seconds and it applies to every video). Then I've noticed that preview isn't wrong, it's actually video itself but on my other devices (iPad mini 3 and PC) everything goes smooth from the beginning. So conclusion is that something went wrong on my device or with YouTube app itself (I've tried rolling back and experienced same issue). I've tried clearing cache, reinstalling app, rolling back to older version (from 14.49.51 to 13.46.53) and nothing helped. I'll be quite happy if someone will share solution with me.
