I have Recently installed both linage and Resurrection Remix on my handset, but both ROMs have an incredibly slow download, especially when using Google Store, has anyone else come across this and is this a fix?
Thanks in advance

I have been compiling the cm7 source and sharing. Gapps and rom boots and work. It is more basic gingerbread aosp then cm7. Cyanogen and teamdouche have been working to get this together and this is more kinda like a nightly

You will need to flash the new recovery.img to flash/get working gapps.
after flashing gapps, run fix permissions to get gapps to work.
This is cause of cm7 going to ext4 based system unlike older roms that are ext3
The new recovery does make it so you can not use older pre gingerbread roms so find a older recovery to fastboot back to anything like froyo or restore old backups

The gapps are posted on on that link also not built in, building in causes bootloops. Don't have any clue when it will be in rom manager, the one uploaded is the recovery.img built with the source

I don't know cali's version. I just posted it cause I built it for someone else and he confirmed working. It is repo synced from the cm7 gingerbread source at about 7pm.
I don't have a desire hd so I can not confirm what is or isn't working

Its slightly more advanced along in development than the other version. ADW is now the default launcher. Haven't noticed any difference apart from that.

So I recently rooted my HTC Desire and installed Leedroid. Everything seemed fine, until I installed Launcher Pro. For some reason the animation when entering the app tray is very laggy, and sometimes when exiting the tray as well. I also noticed that the progress bar in the market doesn't work when downloading an app. So I decided to try a different ROM. Next I tried Gingerburst, but the same things happened. With Gingerburst I also had a problem with WiFi disconnecting the whole time.
Anyway my question is: Does anyone else experience these problems or know how to fix 'em. I know they're small thing (except for the WiFi), but still . Or can someone recommend a ROM for me to try next. There are so many I don't want to try them all.
Thanks
Hello, I have worked wit leedroid ROMS with no problems at all. Did you click on wipe data before installing the rom?.

I used Oxygen on my desire.
If you ask me it's the best rom for the desire.
Very slim and clean, just the basics and then you install what you want.
I did a wipe in recovery before flashing the rom yes. What was weird was that I had exactly the same problems in two different roms. I think I'll try again doing something different (don't know what yet)

So I tried Oxygen ROM... very good! Everything works fine now BUT... I kind of miss Sense. At least some of the apps that came with it. Not a fan of the Sense launcher. But apart from that it's all good!
Can anyone recommend a ROM with Sense that's any good though?
Hi, so I'm looking for a rom that is Sense-free, allows blutooth to work with Sixaxis controller, allows Wifi-Hotspots, and doesn't have any audio routing issues. I currently run CyanogenMod 9 but I'm growing more and more annoyed of the Audio routing problems. Is there anything out there that will truly satisfy my needs? I'm starting to wonder.
Roms I've tried:
Virtuous Quatro and Inquisition. Both did not work because they had Sense hidden in their roms.
ARHD 6.6.7: Did not work because it was already a sense rom (This was my first rom)
CyanogenMod 9: Works with the things stated above, but I'm growing annoyed of the audio routing issues.
So is there a rom out there for me? Or will I just have to wait until a more stable CM9 to come out? Let me know, thanks.
jDrOid's ROMs
Try JDroid Exodized ROM (Without Sense) its an AOSP ROM, wish i can post links,
download it from this site: hox . jdr0id . com
Hope that helps.

That's Sense based
All proper AOSP roms are CM9 based atm, so will have the audio routing problems unfortunately
I've been looking up CM 7 Rom, I found one that looks good. SuperSensation. Do I need to do anything special to flash it on?
I dont really know about you guys, but i am running OpenSensation for like 2 weeks, and never had audio routing problems. But, instead, the battery drains like hell.

Cm7 is Android 2.3 and is dated. I think you'll need to be on a specific firmware to use it, in not sure which
I'd rather have a fully working rom than buggy or broken. Can someone let me know what firmware are you need to run? I have the latest and need to know if I need downgrade.
Have you tried going to any apps that require a microphone? And heavily draining battery is very bad I use this phone all day..

you need to be s-off'ed and downgrade the firmware to hboot 1.17 because cm7 is a GB ROM. Grab the 1.17 firmware here and follow the instructions to flash it here but using the hboot 1.17 file instead

I agree with you, but i'm already trying this ROM on my HOX i haven't faced any issue till now with audio routing. lets just pray nothing goes wrong agai; i had to install this ROM after all the issues i was having with HTC sense.
Finally. Someone who is more concerned with helping than making sure I have a "up to date" rom. Thanks.
Hello SlimKat support,
I had an issue with Xiaomi Piston 2 headphones on the SlimKat ROM 7.2.1... OnePlus One recognize inserting it only one time of 10 inserting...
But with SlimKat ROM 7.4 headphones is not recognized at all I tried 20time insert jack, but OnePlus One did not recognize insertion any of try.
It was OK on the SlimKat ROM 7.0 (stable)...
It is an issue only with Xiaomi Piston 2 headphones... I just tried two other headphones I have at home and OnePlus One recognize them on 1st insertion :good:
Does somebody else have this issue with Piston 2 headphones? Thank you.
Works perfectly with 11s. Maybe they switched the key assignment.

hm, that I was worried about...
I like SlimKat as light weigh ROM... so reinstall all apps and configure whole mobile again... uff
I would rather have fix for SlimKat then to give up on it :highfive:

Workaround included. The problem involves CM commits related to audio within the kernel. All ROMs/kernels update their commits on top of what CM already offers so therefore other ROMs/kernels will have this problem.
Short story:
Workaround: Slowly plug the jack half way in.... hear the music start outputting via headset (you have to have auto detect on insertion enabled) but and then a few seconds later I insert the jack fully in and then it works.

Can't really do much, use a older custom kernel if you want the phone to detect or do the workaround and be patient while CM works on it.
I use the Pistons myself, great headphones. Best $25 spent
When I use this reduction - http://shop.recall.cz/?cls=stoitem&stiid=7109 and headphones are functioning properly. Certainly there is an error in the rom? Or has oneplus involved as jack iphone?

Definitely issue with SlimKat ROM, because it works in other ROMs.
And the reduction means the ROM doesn't cooperate with the "extra" connectors on the jack.

The problem is resolved now. Download a kernel with the newest commits, Franco r14 contains this new commit so its fixed.

what kernel? uff, where? How to install it?
I'm sorry, the One is my first Android mobile and I was so so happy I was able to replace CM11s with SlimKat... playing even with kernel... uff
Is there any step by step guide how to replace kernel on SlimKat?
edit: I think... I will rather wait for next build and install it as whole ROM update... then trying to hacking kernel...

Its in original android dev franco kernel... download the zip r14 -> put it on your phone -> reboot to recovery mode -> flash it in TWRP and then reboot.
its very easy to do.... be sure to download the AOSP kernel variant since ur on SlimKat.

Hi!
I have tried the official LOS 15.1 ROM and, while very good, I find it a bit slow (on the 2GB version). Any recommendations for a speedy ROM? (I do not mind going back to 7.1.2...)
Thanks in advance.
i use /e/ rom, it's very smooth because it uses microg instead of google app. Everything seems to be ok for daily driver, no bug i noticed so far.

It's based on lineage os 14.1 but still update till now.
Try this rom (Pie) :

Since our phone is no longer maintained i've decided to build lineage 14.1 for myself.
I'll do it once or twice a month when there are updates.
