Bug or something?

Here's what it is.
If you try dialing those service USSD, or USSID, don't know what it is called, you cannot press a key for reply.
Try dialing something like *xxx#, then a notification comes asking to dial either 1 for Option 1 or 2 for Option 2, and there's no possible way as to press the key.
It is not actually calling, but something you dial like when you want to check your credits.
Here's what a nokia phone gives. Its written 'Message', but its not SMS but got only by dialing as said above.

Is there any work-around or something which I can do?

It's not a bug, but yeah this is not currently possible with Windows Phone 7.

Just because of this I have to switch sim card in phone, hate alot MS cant provide this basic age old feature.

Windows mobile didn't had this prob.
Since MS, perhaps doesn't know this, is there any way to inform them or can we expect an update for this? Or is this so unused thing that nobody needs it anymore.

[Problem] Sim Card Error

Hey there.
I'm afraid I couldn't find anything here about this strange SIM error occuring since the last software update 1.78.401.2. Later HTC released a sim patch that did not really fix the issue:

It happens quite occasionally - most times in idle mode, but very often if the phone state is changed to "flight mode" and you want to reactivate it, the Pop-up to enter the PIN does not appear.
Temporary working solutions so far as I searched the internet:
- Deactivate Fastboot and Softreset made it a little bit better
- Hard Reset
- Use another SIM card (mine was already new since I needed a micro SIM for this phone), did not work at all
- Removing SIM card
There was a "sim patch" about 1 month ago that seemed to make it better, but the problem occurs again and again.
Isn't there anybody that has this kind of trouble? Out of this forum there are many people with this problem.

Cricket/AIO merging. What does this mean for us?

I got a text message on my phone today from Cricket. It told me Cricket and AIO have or are currently in the process of merging and gave me a link in the text for more info regarding what will happen and change during this transition.

check it out for yourself. It gives less than ANY info. It does say though, that Cricket users will be required to buy a new device at some point when the merge is completed to continue to recieve service.
I bought my Samsung galaxy s3 from Cricket in early December.
It is 4g LTE compatible and uses a sim card, even though it says clearly throughout the Cricket site that they use CDMA devices.
Does this mean it can still be used after the merge, or will I STILL need to buy a new device? I believe it is a gsm compatible device.
I will include a picture of my phone, with the back cover showing it is a Cricket phone that has a sim card slot. That actually has a sim card in it.

Who else has Cricket or AIO? What are your thoughts on this merge?

[Q] Can't connect to my carrier network

Hi everyone,
I've got a weird problem with my Nexus 5.
A couple days ago I flash Android L preview, everything was Ok. Yesterday I wanna go back to Paranoid Android (my rom), so I wipe my phone, I had a couple of problems, but I resolve all of them. And everything was ok.
In the evening I change my favorite network type to 2G, after that my N5 wasn't to join my carrier network.
This morning I flash the factory image that I grab from Google website. That change nothing...
I don't know what to do...

From your screenshots it looks like the preferred network type was set to something that is not one of the default options. That selector in your last screenshot is the stock Android selector. Just choose LTE and it should get you connected again.

Question Rog Phone 5 VOLTE

Hi I'm trying to use volte on Rog 5 but having no luck. I'm based in the UK on the EE Network.
I've activated advanced LTE calling in settings, which is VOLTE, I've restarted the device, taken the SIM out and put back in, but volte still isn't working
I've used the same SIM in my Huawei and volte works straight away but with the Rog 5 it's not working. Can anyone help please ??

check this option is on or off may be your issue will be solve. i did not face any problem with this.

Isn't the problem most are having that the option is missing from Settings?
I had the option shown above and tested the dial code that keeps being posted and the options changed (temporarily). Not sure if it was an update or a reboot that restored them, though.
