Hi guys,
Just bought my new Xiaomi Mi mix 2s, i cna connect it to my Bluetooth speaker however there's no sound going out of it when I play music regardless the app. On MIUI forum they are recommended to go to developer option to modify the Bluetooth codec, but nothing changes for me. I'm using MIUI global 9.5.19.
Any ideas about how I could solve this?
Thanks in advance for your help
Cheers !
I changed it to aptX HD, reboot the phone and now is working fine. In the Devs Menu it says that I'm using SBC, but well is working fine now
Thanks for the tips however it doesn't work neither... I'm using UE roll 2 from Logitech.
What about you?
Not working neither with the last build 9.5.20
finally work for me with MIUI 10 global public beta

Hello guys, anyone use a bluetooth headset? if yes, what brand is it? i use LG tone+ that support bluetooth 4.1, a2dp and apt-x, but the problem is the sound frequently become distorted, especially when my kenzo far enough from bluetooth headset (50 cm +). Is the problem with headset or rom i used? i use miui 8 dev cn. thanks for help.
hey, i think its headset related. im using a AudioMX Bluetooth Over-Ear headset and it works within a reach of 4-5m. after that distance i have problem with audio distortion.
I have a sony SBH60 and it works flawlessly. No distortion at all, and little to no "audio lag" (I mean audio/video sync), at least I haven't noticed while watching classic youtube content, I don't use my phone for movies or TV Shows.
For me I am using Samsung level U and everything works well. Besides, I have a portable bluetooth speaker too (china brand) and also works.
what rom do you use guys? i use miui dev cn official. thanks.
I'm using latest xiaomi.eu rom
Sorry for the late reply, I'm using 8.1.3.0 Global, always kept my phone up to date, no issues so far.
Also tested with my in car Pioneer MH380, a Logitech MiniBoom (UE), and a MPOW Bluetooth transmitter.
I've never had any issue with bluetooth whatsoever, maybe a clean install could help.
Hi, anybody having their sounds lagging every 10-30 seconds? I'm streaming via bluetooth to my car head unit and the sound keeps disappearing about a second and it's pretty annoying. and only this phone having this trouble. Update/clean install doesn't help. I'm using global dev.
What is AptX?
I noticed that the custom bluetooth codecs( like the aptX, aptX HD, LDAC, etc.) are not working even if we have devices that support it( like earphones, headphones, soundbars, etc.) For example, I own a Samsung Level U wireless headset, which is compatible of aptX codec, but whenever I connect it with my Mi A1, the codec in Developer options switches itself to SBC.
So, I found a workaround for it on OnePlus 3/3T Device Forum. @theduke7 has created a Magisk module which enables aptX/ aptX HD on One Plus 3. I flashed that module, and Voila! The codecs started working on my phone.
How will this help you?
AptX increases the quality of audio transmitting over bluetooth considerably. So you will be able to hear nearly lossless, CD quality audio from your device.
Just flash the below given Magisk module in Magisk 14.0+ and reboot.
For those who can't find the option,
Go to Settings >> System >> Developer Options >> Bluetooth Audio Codec
Link to the thread
Just thank @theduke7
Before posting, please check whether your wireless bluetooth device supports any of the above mentioned codecs.
Screenshots:
Doesn't works for me...
Codec stills revert to SBC every time I connect my BT headset.
It's a Driftin DBE-301BGY. But I don't know if it's apt-X or apt-X HD compatibe.
No matter wich codec I choose, always revert to SBC....

Your wireless earphones are not aptX/aptX HD compatible, mate. I googled them just now.
Also, the module is sometimes unstable. It reverts back to SBC even when we choose aptX or aptX HD. A simple reboot should solve that problem. After rebooting, before connecting the wireless, go to developer options and manually select the supported codec, and then connect.

Dude, I'm not a developer. I just found out that this module works for our device, and so I posted it here, giving necessary credits.
And I don't get any noise in my earphones. Can you try a fastboot rom flash without wiping data?
Does it work on custom ROM?
On Oreo 8.0 all works fine, aptx and aptx HD.
At Oreo 8.1 (July Update) - only aptx is working. U can select aptx HD in the Developer/Audio settings, but dos not have any effect.
Any suggestions?
it only works if the xiaomi was rooted. Without root the APT doesn't work even more if you installed the drivers and modified the build.prop
What do U mean? Pls explain.

I did it manually and I added into the build.prop located in system:
persist.bt.enableAptXHD=true
persist.service.btui.use_aptx=1
persistent.bt.a2dp_offload_cap=sbc-aptx-aptXHD
Regards.

Anyone got a guide for getting aptx or ldac working on Pie...
Hi,
the music (Spotify, YouTube, Mp3) on my headphones (Zolo Liberty+) and my car (Audi A4 2017) stops for about one second about every minute. It works with other phones (apple, HTC)
It is kind of a fading out and in. It seems like something (maybe notifications) is blocking the sound. But nothing is popping up.
It works perfect with my Bluetooth speakers (jkr 1000).
It also doesn't have the problem for quite some time (15-100 minutes), when I restart the phone.
My phone has the global stable rom 9.5.4.0
What can I do?
Thank you
Try to turn off use phone for audio in the Bluetooth settings for that device.
Sent from my Mi MIX 2S using Tapatalk
Thank you. It worked. I also changed the energy settings of Spotify.
But now I can't use Google Assistant with my headphones. I hope that the problem gets solved with a firmware update (MIUI 10).
Had this with my pixel buds only, worked for speaker as well, only fix was to change to dev preview
I Still got this Issue with the Mix 2S and my VW Golf 7 radio running the latest MIUI Global 9.5.
I turned off use Phone for Audio, didn't helpt tho the sound is still cutting out ever 20-30 seconds. Any ideas?
It now works perfect with the new MIUI 9.5.19. I received the ota update yesterday. It works with Audi TT (2017), Audi A4 (2017), Zolo Liberty+, Mpow Judge, JKR 1000 and JBL go.
Not for me. I'm running MIUI 9.5.19.0 since I received the Phone.
Hi. My Nissan sylphycar stereo cant detect my mi mix 2s through bluetooth
My former s7 edge was ok. what seems to be the problem. please help.
Hi,
I'm currently running MIUI 10 Global 8.7.12 Beta, problem still Not fixed. Just to let you know.
Had the same problem with an ALPINE IDE-178BT.
Best sound all the time...but every now and then there were short breaks. But it always picks up where it left.
It feels like the radio can´t keep up with the data rate and would need to buffer from time to time.
But that´s not the case of course. Same files play fine via a LeEco LePro3.
LeEco = BT4.2
MiMix2s = BT5.0
Worked perfect for years and years since I bought it. I switched now to a Pioneer AVH-Z7100DAB.
This combination works PERFECT! A Living dream.
To me it is clear that Bluetooth is not that compatible they want us to believe. I have another example with a Phillips P8 which is infunctionals since the LeEco already
But that´s just me. Maybe someone else is able to test another BT5.0 device with their car stereo.
Maybe the BT drivers for SD845 are just bad. More data/knowledge is needed to did deeper.
/EDIT: Redmi Note 5 has similare/same problems like MiMix2s. BOTH habe BT5.0
Some problems can be solved by playing with "AVRCP Version" and "Codec".
Hi guys,
I have the same problem with my Redmi note 5 (9.5.19) when I'm listenning to music through the Bluetooth system of my Volkswegen Golf VII.
I created a bug report on the official Xiaomi Website, it coul be very great if you can click on the Confirm button to make the bug more visible to the developer team.
http://en.miui.com/thread-3230620-1-1.html
Thank you
Tom.
I have a similar problem with Redmi Note 5 playing on BMW A. T. 2 SERIES: after answering a call via Bluetooth during a session with Spotify the music sound slowly with gap and pops.
Randomly it happens without phone calling too, somerimes it works perfectly.
It's very annoying problem...
Hi 4ever3
Yes it seems to be the same problem.. I notice that the problem occurs more often when you use the phone at the same time...
Please connect with your MI account to the following link and click to confirm to make the bug more visible

Finally what? Do you have a Solution?
The solution that worked for me, is to go phone, bluetooth devices, open the car audio, and disconnect the synchronization of the contacts.
Since then, without interruptions in the audio. The problem is that now, I can not access the phone contacts from the car.
Hey folks,
i have the same problem with my mi mix 2s (updated yesterday to MIUI 10 stable) connecting with my SEAT Leon FR from 2013. Stuttering every ~30seconds for about 0.5-1sec, thats really annoying...
Bluetooth connection with my Bose QC 35 works like charm.
Already reported in the linked forum.
I have this problem.. Audi A3 2013 model
Only been happening since I upgraded to Miui 10, using Chinese Dev Rom.. latest version
In fact this has been happening in every version of miui 10 I've tried since Miui 10 was released
Currently using Miui eu 10.. 8.10.25
Audio stuttering to resolve you have to disable discovery mode in Bluetooth
Unfortunately the Devs at miui in their wonderful wisdom decided to remove that option from rom, so to carry this out you have to use a third party app
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=by4a.bluetoothsettings
Set to Limit to devices that are already paired, turn screen off, everything is fine and dandy
Poco x3 india when you connect bluetooth earphone and then play any song in any app and go to settings audio settings and enable or disable mi sound enhancer.. select any sound profile or no matter how up or down the eq bars there is no change in audio output.
Anyone else also facing ?

That is completely normal. Mi sound enhancer is an EQ for the 3.5 jack audio channel only. If you want full audio customisation, install V4A.

The Poco X3/NFC doesn't have a china version ROM, it's a Global device only. Many features are missing from this version of MIUI 12, that includes some features of Mi sound enhancer and Sound assistant.
In fact, Version V12.0.4.0.QJGMIXM and below had this feature when connected to my aptX Bluetooth earbuds greyed-out inaccessible, Further versions I don't know about as I haven't tried. Maybe try asking in the Xiaomi.eu for Poco X3 thread.

I am not much familiar with this app i just want to tell that earlier miui wasn't allowing even switching on the mi sound enhancer for bluetooth audio and at that same time china eu rom were allowing to switch it on and also was working properly.. me and people like me are suggesting this feature since ages to xiaomi and now if xiaomi is allowing to switch it on with bluetooth audio then their intention seems to be giving this feature but because of bug i guess this is not making any impact on audio even after tweaking eq.. just this needs to be fixed.. i have already shared this to xiaomi via feedback.
I am currently using redmi 9t. The issue is regarding the connectivity of bluetooth earphones (Soul 7). The earphones are continuously glitching whenever i change my position or when i lock my mobile while playing a song. This problem is only limited to my phone as I have tested on other phones and the problem doesn't seems to appear. I have tried another earphones of JBL and no such problem arises with my phone. I currently have the latest MIUI update for Redmi 9t. My MIUI optimization is also turned off. There are no battery restrictions for media apps. The earphones are new and no they don't have reset option and also there is no pairing issue. The bluetooth works fine too but there is some problem which i can't figure out whether it is with the mobile or the earphones as both appears to work fine with other mobiles/earphones.
Hey! I have the same exact problem using redmi 9t! did you find a solution in the end? I flashed a new Rom (Havoc), I changed kernel but nothing... lemme know
