Some model of V20 like LS997, SPC/MSL Code is not 000000. But many methods about obtaining SPC code is not work for V20.
The reason is, the hiddenmenu command changed in V20, so ##3282# no longer works.
So the command for V20 is ##7764726+ModelNumber. (For example LS997 is ##7764726997)
The principle of obtaining is same as those ##3282# methods, It is, when you type a wrong SPC Code in ##3282#(V20 is ##7764726997), a right code will be output in logcat.
So first just get ready for obtaining android's logcat. You can use adb logcat >xxx to fetch logcat into a file, or you can do it on you phone. Otherwise, just get the logcat that ok, but you need to make it easy to search or filtering.
OK just type ##7764726+ModelNumber on dial pad, and click dial button.
Now "Service Code" appears, just enter 6 numbers randomly, it will says it is wrong.
Just repeat that 2~3 times (It makes the logcat easy to search)
OK Now search OEM_HOOK_RAW in your logcat which you just obtained. Between two OEM_HOOK_RAW, you can see a "HexData"

"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Just count the number between "3" from the last one of HexData. Counting for 6 times, the number is your SPC/MSL Code.
For example, my HexData is 00000000ef030000000000000a00000006000000333539383234
So my SPC/MSL Code is 359824
Thanks!
##7764726+ModelNumber code didn't do anything for me, but I got an MSL prompt via ##3282# / LTE / Edit. Other menus under ##DATA# also prompt for Service Code, i.e., eHRPD / Edit.
Verified this on LS997 with ZVA stock firmware, non-rooted.

its work very good in ls997 zvd
I have a LS997 still on vz7 so the old menu ##3282# still works. My phone is not rooted though. I can't view logcat because if root permission. Any other logcat apps out there that do not require root? I appreciate it!

You don't need root to get logcat logs.
You can use adb logcat on your computer, you'd connect phone by USB to PC and see Android logs on the computer console.
See how to enable developer mode and use adb logcat.
Will it work on LS99720A after Oreo update?

Phone: Motorola Photon 4g
Provider: Sprint
OS: Android 4.0.4
A few days ago, I began having occasional 3g issues. I looked under the Information tab in Settings, and it listed my Network as Unknown, so I decided to use the RSD Lite to restore everything to factory settings.
First, here is the command prompt output from the day I first unlocked my phone, 2/11/12. I've censored device specific numbers because I'm not really sure what could be used to compromise my account. But here is the first time I see my "Device ID"
Code:
moto-fastboot oem unlock
... INFOUnlocking your device can permanently VOID
your warranty.
INFOThis process cannot be reversed. If you wish to proceed,

Here is a picture of one of my barcodes under my battery showing my serial number:

Here is a screenshot I took for a rom I was having issues with (the ro.telephony.default_network= line in build.prop had been commented out). As you can see, my serial number is still the one starting with TA2, the same serial number printed on the barcode outside my phone.
Now here is where **** hit the fan: After I flashed the SBF file from RSD Lite, when I rebooted it just stayed at "Connecting to Network" when I tried to update Profile or PRL. Assuming at the time it was just a network issue and my radio had been set correctly anyways, I reboot into recovery, wiped data, cache, and system, and installed a CM9 rom. When it booted, it prompted me to activate my phone, which didn't work. When I went to the same information tab as before, I saw this:
My Serial Number was now the same 042801__ number that I received as my Device ID when I first unlocked my phone. I tried restoring nandroid backups, but not only did they not fix anything, I had to move them from a folder that was named the previous TA2__ number to the new 042801__ number. At this point I decided to wipe everything I could in CWM, and reflash the SBF, but that just came back up with the infinite Connecting to Network screen.
So at this point, as far as I can tell, I have two options:
1) Find some way to change my Serial Number back to what it should be. Fastboot has a setserial command for this, but I keep getting an error message when I try. I've spent about 6 hours today trying to find more command line options for this, but I've found nothing.
2) Flash the SBF one last time and bring it in to Sprint and hope they can reconnect me.
Ok I fixed it. Turns out I had managed to erase my PDS partition, and the recovery I was using wasn't restoring it. I reinstalled an older recovery that I had used to back up my factory rom before my first wipe and restored that and everything worked great.
Right i been searching around trying to unlock my friends Desire S this method Worked perfectly.
1) You need root
2) You need Terminal Emulator (free from the market)
Open the Terminal Emulator app and type:
su [enter]
strings -n 8 /dev/block/mmcblk0p7 [enter]
you will then get loads of codes and other stuff.
Look for your IMEI number and the unlock code will be above. If u get just a date then sorry you cant get the unlock code Write the unlock code down and put a sim that normally wouldnt work into your phone and power it on. then enter your unlock code u just wrote down
look at the piccy below the unlock code is marked with the arrow.

This will only work with Sim LOCKED devices. as mine is already sim unlocked by htc i cant unlock mine and i get a weird code. but my friends unlocked fine with his code I take NO responsibility if u break or damage your device. this is for educational purpose only
the code may not exist in a factory-unlocked phone (only a carrier-locked one).
i need people to confirm this working for them
I also got the same key. 00000108 as in your screenshot. I've not tried yet. As I'm in the office and I don't have any other sim card with me now.
Is there a way , a shortcut key or somewhere in settings where I can put the key. ?

colleagues whom I can ask for their sim have iphone, and their sim doesn't fit in desire s.
there should be a secret code to enter the key.
I've just tried it, but after entering the strings command the reply is "strings not found" are you sure that the command is written correct (with all the spaces correct). Or maybe I am doing something else wrong? I have root and s-off...

Sorry for the necro post, but I had an Assurance Wireless phone that my kid set a PIN on, and then didnt know what it was. I set out to find a way to reset the phone. Not a lot of info out there. I started by looking at your list of know codes...most made words so I began trying. I found a winner
##CLEAR# (##25327#)
Will prompt, and will then reset. Data seems intact, leaving txts and call history. After reboot, phone goes through auto setup, updating PRL and looking for firmware etc. After reset, PIN was removed, and phone usable again.
I tried a lot of methods for fix my MEID but any tools like QPST/CDMA DFS/CDMA WORKSHOP all doesn't work.
Until I found this little tool, it work fine for my LG V20.

Usage: Enable Port Check Test in Hidden Menu(SVC Menu - Port Check Test). And turn on USB debugging,
Connect to PC, select Files Transfer. And you will see a COM port in device manager. (If not, you shoud install LG USB Driver)
Open this tool, select your COM port and click Connect, if your current MEID shows it means work fine.
Just enter a new MEID and click Write Hex MEID.
(Notice: The new one just type in DEC but not HEX, even it says "Write Hex MEID", I think this is a bug lol)
Thanks a lot. I dropped my v20 and it turned itself off. After powering it back on, I had no mobile network connection and my imei was reported as null. Running this program and connecting, disconnecting then restarting my handset was enough to fix the issue without even having to enter my imei in the box. Thanks a million.

These are some hopefully simple instructions to unlock the bootloader for this phone. There are many instructions sets about but none make it particularly easy, or explain how to use DC Unlocker. Everything I know is in this post, asking me questions you probably won't get any more information, but I'll help if I can.
Download and install / unzip
Android Platform Tools https://developer.android.com/studio/releases/platform-tools
HiSuite https://consumer.huawei.com/en/support/hisuite/
USB drivers (I think you need these) https://www.getdroidtips.com/android-usb-drivers-for-windows-and-mac/
You might need Huawei_Mobile_Driver (not really sure but I installed it) https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=4349826312261774199
{Mod edit}
If it doesn't work read some other guides for software you might need. I tried all sorts of things.
Plug phone into computer using USB3 cord. I used a USB3 socket on my Windows 10 PC.
Run DC Unlocker. Select "Huawei Phones" top left then leave it at autodetect - don't select your phone. Follow the instructions to type *#*#2846579#*#* into the dialer then select 'ProjectMenu' -> 'Background settings' -> 'USB ports settings' -> 'Manufacture mode' then hit close. Go back in and check "manufacturer mode" is still set.
In DC unlocker, hit the magnifying glass button to search for your phone. Make sure the pane below says it finds the phone. If not try again a few times, then reboot the phone, reboot the computer, try a few times. The DC Unlocker software doesn't seem very reliable. It should look something like the screenshot below. If you get "server not found" or similar wait, or try again, or reboot.
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Next hit "server" and enter your user and password and hit "check login". It should come up with your credits. If it says "server error" or similar try a dozen times before rebooting both phone and PC and trying again. If it still doesn't work post on the DC unlocker forums and they might help you.
Next hit "unlocking" on the top right. Hit the "read bootloader code" button to get the bootloader unlock code. Hit it until it gives you the code. DO NOT hit the other buttons unless you really need to. I hit the wrong one and had to pay an extra 4 euro to try again.
Save that Bootloader code somewhere you won't lose it! Emailing it to yourself might be a good way to do that.
Open a powershell window in the same folder as you unzipped the Android platform tools. adb.exe should be in that folder. Type the following commands in
adb reboot bootloader
(wait for the phone / hit ok if required)
fastboot oem unlock yourcodehere
Once you've done this the phone will factory reset. Next step for me another day will be install TWRP and LineageOS. If I find a good method I might post that.
