Hi there,
I've just purchased a Ringke Fusion case for my new Nexus 4 and the only thing left I have to get is a screen protector.
I'm fully aware that some screen protectors don't go over the edge of the phone and I'm not sure if this will be a problem.
I'm looking for a screen protector that doesn't need water for it to be applied. I want the lip of the Ringke Fusion case to slightly cover the edge of the protector to avoid it peeling off. *Edit* Of course, I will be needing one that has the correct cutouts for the Proximity Sensor and Front Camera.
Please advise, much appreciated, hope I've stated everything clearly.
If you are using a Ringke Fusion case with your Nexus 4 and you are using a screen protector in which you think you have a perfect fit, please do share what screen protector you have, thank you!!
I think the best option here might just be BSE right? I've read on Spigen and apparently some of there protectors extract oil and fingerprints a lot? Is that accurate? I don't want Zagg, nor do I want XtremeGuard.
Someone mentioned GadgetShieldz, any good?

Top (Spigen Crystal) vs Bottom (GadgetShieldz)
I really do like Spigen's curved/rounded cutouts.
GadgetShieldz does look like it goes as close as possible to the edge, which is great for me.
Which one would you go for?
I'm looking for a leather side case to fit my nexus 4 with Ringke Fusion on my belt, any suggestions for one that will fit?
never mind
Did you ever end up getting a screen protector and the Ringke Fusion? I'm planning on getting the same combo after finding hairline scratches on my Nexus 4's screen from normal use

So any luck in this fusion case screen protector combo finding? Mine case is coming soon and now i need screen protector, what to get, btw any thoughts on getting back protector too?
Hey I have a Ringle Fusion case and just bought the Skinomi Full Body protection and it fits perfectly on my Nexus 4, I messed up applying the front screen protector on so I had to order me another one but it fits very well with the Ringle Fusion.
Buy the case optimized from gadgetshieldz, its perfect. Using it from last 5 months
I got a dirt cheap (Rs. 120) matte screen guard on my n4 bought from eBay.in. There is little gap of around 2-3mm between the edges of fusion cover and screen guard. I have been using this setup since last 20 days without any problem. Everything looks perfect, the screen guard does not appear to get off any soon.
Hope this helps.

Screen protector:
*White edge elimination liquid ~$0.5 is highly recommended
Nillkin Amazing H+ Pro 2.5D tempered glass screen protector ~$11 USD
Recommended if you are highly skilled, you need to be highly skilled to apply the screen protector perfectly and no mistakes. Because once you get air bubbles underneath the screen protector, it's nearly impossible to get it out. Plus if you remove and reapply, you will pretty much get permanent bubbles at the corner. Once you lift it up even with little force, the adhesive is pretty much destroyed. Other than those cons I will think it's an okay screen protector, if you can get it on spot the first time without air bubbles. It's also coated with oleophobic coating, so you will probably get less fingerprint on your screen, it's thin with 0.2mm thickness (can flex slightly more without breaking it comparing to conventional screen protector).
Conclusion: It's an excellent screen protector if you can apply it in one go perfect alignment, no dust etc.
Tips: Do not take out the screen protector until you are ready to apply it. Use all the accessories Nillkin provided before applying the screen protector, clean your screen with wet & dry wipes first, and then use the anti-static film to remove remaining dust on the screen. Your screen shouldn't pick up any dust for 2-3 mins unless you are in a very dusty place. When you finally ready to install the screen protector, remove it from the protective film case and then apply it on your screen. Don't peel off the adhesive protection film altogether at start, instead pull 30% off and then try align to your screen properly, once confirmed then only peel it off completely. If you have bubbles on the side, just keep pressure on it for around 1-2 mins and they will be gone. You will need to apply the white edge elimination liquid if you get white edges around the screen protector, I have tried a couple screen protector and it is impossible to eliminate it by just using pressure alone, so this liquid will help you eliminate the white edges if you don't like imperfections.

Nillkin Mi 6x/A2 Frosted Shield case ~$10
Highly recommended. I always bought Nillkin case, although it doesn't cover the upper and bottom part of your phone. It looks really slick and provide very comfortable grip for you. Note that the cover only give very minor buffer between your screen and surface if you put your phone upside down. Adding any tempered glass will definitely cause it higher than the case. Although it only gives basic protection, but the case is higher than the rear camera bump, so you won't be damaging the rear camera lens or glass when you put it on your table plus it doesn't look that bulky compared to those TPU case. I always love Nillkin case, they made very good cases for each phone, and their quality is very good too.
Conclusion: If you are looking for a case that won't make your phone looks bulky and add some grip, this case will probably suits you. But take note that only gives basic protection, any drops will be bad.
With big brother:
Good review ,I have both products which i love
Hi, if there any link to buy only the liquid?
Thx

I look forward to hearing from you about Redmi Note 8 Pro tempered glass screen protector................
The best screen protectors I've ever bought
I already bought a redmi note 8 pro tempered glass screen protector on Amazon, and already installed it on screen.Despite being more expensive, the value is definitely worth it. The kit comes in a plastic case with 2 screen protectors (including wipes and dust removal stickers), an alignment tool for the screen protector, carbon fiber phone skin, and a camera screen protector.
The screen protector is really easy to align and did not present any bubbles or hazing, the display colors were not noticeably affected. The skin is nice and so is the camera screen protector.
I say that this kit is worth the price, it offers so much for the price and the gap-filling liquid makes the protector blend in perfectly with the phone screen.

I bought the same screen protector.... did you find hard to apply the carbon fiber skin?

Redmi Note 8 Pro Best Tempered Glass
Redmi Note 8 Pro Best Tempered Glass on Amazon: https://techinsidetips.com/redmi-note-8-pro-tempered-glass/
I am currently using Nillkin Amazing CP+Pro tempered glass. The best full coverage tempered glass so far. It doesn't have the excessive black border that covers the screen like those stupid cheap glass. Can fit with any casing & smooth texture. I recommend you guys to try this one bc if you fitted it correctly the sensors will work as usual. And also it's high visibility I can barely see the glass tbh. It's 0.33mm and 2.5d edges so should be good
I got this as well. I had the same type with the applicator for my Mi 8 Lite and love the ease of application thanks to the tool.
One tip I learn about applying screen protector and skin is:
1. Wash your hands, do not dry them.
2. Prepare some warm water with washing up liquid mixture.
3. Drop a few drops of these mixture onto the surface where the glass or skin is going on (do not worry, this phone has IPX2 rating)
4. Apply the glass or skin.
5. Press the water out with a card.
Any bubbles or water below will dry out in a day or so.
Oh, of course, do this in a dust free place such as a hot steamy bathroom (everyone should know this one now).
Well, cheap T glass suck, incomplete glue, I decided to get standard nikilin CP+max and a metal ring for camera protection (without installing the camera glass), for body, I will just pour nanotechnology coating solutions, $12 total including shipping. Ain't pay for $50 for $220 phones.

Is that a China ROM Variant?
Dissappointed did not get the free clear case. My 6T until last day I shipped it for trade in used the free included case. Worked great, I really liked it, tried bunch from Amazon and just liked the free stock one.
I am using the Spigen hybrid case on OP9.
- fits well. But the interior is a dust magnet. Almost feels sticky, hard to clean off the dust and fingerprints.
- the exterior is a horrible mess of fingerprints!!
Pulen glass protector
- thick... too thick. Front does have cut out for camera. Clear, applied well. Not a fingerprint mess. Fits well with cases.
- the rear camera protector even thicker. It also cover the lense. Does not have cut outs for the lenses. I removed cause probably adds distortion. Did not do any scientific methods to test hypothesis.
Pulen clear case with floral print
- loose fit. Slips off easily, terrible
- the sides do not have a lip to cover and provide screen protection.
- returned back to Amazon.
- DO NOT BUY
Cresee silicone case
- It has a soft texture to it, really pleasant feel
- Fits the phone well, buttons feel great
- Great case for $10
Qitayo clear thin case
- Terrible buttons. The buttons are not recessed so they fit over the buttons, they sit right on top so it's really easy to click then. I can only imagine what a disaster it would be with the phone in the pocket.
- DO NOT BUY
Orzero Premium Tempered Glass x3
- Easy to apply, the case to assist proper alignment of glass was useful.
- No issues with touch sensitivity or fingerprint
- Would recommend over Pulen.
If anyone finds glass that is thinner than 0.3mm please let me know
For sound.
Love that BT connections show battery levels for each ear piece and case. This from mpow X6 and the OnePlus Budz.
Being able to switch audio output from volume rocker. I don't remember doing this on the 6T, OnePlus dragging feet on Android 11 update for that.
I still have dongle from 6T. Senn Hd58x, AT R70x and A990z all sound great.
For gym, mpow x6 seems best. For shopping and wandering around I prefer the Budz. Their call quality seems better to people I called.
Thanks for your input!
I'm using a spigen tough armor. Sturdy, well built, perfect fit, nice little kickstand, very good protection.
It does add quite a bit of bulk though. The buttons are flush with the case so it's not immediately obvious where they are, but you get used to it really fast of course. The kickstand is also flush with the case, which is nice.
I had a spigen slim armor on my previous phone, and this tough armor offers more protection, with a raised lip all around the screen. Given the choice, I'd prefer a little less bulk than this.
Wireless charging works just fine with this case.
So, I used the Pulen glass protector on her phone. But when I did, when I went to remove the default screen protector, I actually took off the glass from my phone and not hers, oops.
Bought Orzero.

So it comes with three, a case to help apply the glass, the usual alcohol swap, wipes and dost remover and glass sticker assists to help place the glass.
Result, the frame case worked great, it's the same dimensions as most cases. Was easy to align the camera cutout and ensure a proper fit. It's clear, smooth, the 2.5D edges are fine. Oleophobic coating is as good as I've used in the past. I have no problems with touch sensitivity or finger print reader. I think it's actually better than the Pulen.
Verdict: It's $8, comes with 3 glasses, with three sets of alcohol swab, cleaner, dust cleaners. The case is helpful. I'd recommend it.
And no I'm not testing how well it works for screen protection, I've used enough of these over the past, they are all the same. The only difference is ease of use or quality.
Between Pulen or Orzero, I recommend Orzero. Pulen is fine as well
Anccer case on Amazon is nice and thin. A glass screen protector is just barely recessed on the lip however. The worst is that it's a fingerprint magnet like no other.
I got Spigen glass and I´m really dissapointed with it.
Terrible response and lots of phamton touches over the screen.
Accessories this far:
Spigen Tough Armor
UniqueMe TGSP (which I swear by)
and today I got a dual sim tray for my
North American OP9. of course on AA firmware, I didn't get service in the second sim slot. But we'll figure that one out eventually.
Also Dbrand Skin.
I'm using Gadgetshieldz skins on my One Plus 9 for 2 months and it fits very well from edge to edge, I get scratches rarely but it protects the back of my phone from getting damaged.
With this device so new there hasn't been time for many amazon reviews for cases and what not. What did you end up going with?
I went ahead for the official translucent case and I'm waiting for screen protectors to be available. I'll try to grab a Spigen if they get released soon enough.
EDIT: I purchased the Spigen GLAStR screen protector and it should come by tomorrow. I'll see how it behaves with the Google case. I'll probably go as well for a Spigen case, we'll see. But maaaaaaaan do I love this phone, it made me go back to XDA and be involved with it...
mine buy on amazon delivered before the phone with screen protector included.
Google case. Cheap screen protector from Amazon. So far so good. No issues with finger print sensor. Few dust particles that's killing my OCD.
Went with the Spigen Liquid Air Armor...thin rubber, just to keep a grip.
Getting these for my pixel 6a today will send pics when I get them

Went with these two, screen protector went on easy with the alignment tool, and the case is nice and grippy, although that's not a card slot in the back like some reviewers say it is, it's just for grip.
Spigen Ultra Hybrid (I may switch to one of the Armors, which is what my 5a has, depending on how I like this one)
Tempered glass screen protector (has an alignment frame and worked beautifully)
Tried Caseology Nano Pop, thought it too slippery. Ended up with what I had on my 4a, Spigen Rugged Armor. Would like a spongier feel, but at least it has texture all the way up on both sides.

I am using the Spingen screen protector, it is excellent and does not cause problems with the official case
Yesterday I ordered several shells I could change them every day like that.
Spigen Liquid Air Armor and the LK tempered glass screen protector. I've had great luck with both companies in the past.
I ordered a cheap one days ago when I ordered mine, because Ghostek did not have one yet. I see they have one today listed. The cheap one actually isn't bad. A snap on outer shell and "rubber" outer cover. Back has a small window open around rectangle camera and then a clear window down the back. https://www.cellularoutfitter.com/c...phone-case-black-clear-hr-qbshbum-6apix-clrbk I still may order the Ghostek though, been using them for years.

Ditto, Spigen have been my favorite for a while now
I ordered the Spigen Liquid Air Armor Designed for Pixel 6a Case (2022) - Midnight Green and [3 Pack] iVoler Screen Protector Tempered Glass for Google Pixel 6a 5G 2022 (6.1 inch)[Fingerprint Unlock Compatible] with Easy Installation Frame[Not for Pixel 6] 9H Hardness Clear Film Bubble Free
I like the case, it's nice and thin and has a good texture on the back. I might get something a little more bulky since I'm coming from a Pixel 5a with Otterbox Commuter, and I like the feeling of something more sturdy in my hand.
The screen protector worked out well. I initially had some trouble enrolling my right thumb, but on the second try it worked fine. However still some unregistered fingerprints can unlock my device... but I haven't got any OTA yet.
I bought Caseology and Spigen. Returned the Caseology, thought it didn't have enough grip. At least the Spigen has ribs the entire edge, much better grip.
is there a case to make the back of the phone flat? so the camera bump is leveled with the rest of the phone

My Spigen Rugged Armor is flat.
Dont get the iVolar, FP scanner stops reading prints after installation (even when I deleted my registered prints).
