I think I got a little bit better batterylife with this update. But only had it it for a day so perhaps to early to say.
Bro, please try playing pubg under stock oreo does it still lags after 3 minutes?
Thanks

It is probably throttling due to heat. Get a Custom Kernel (or ROM), which allows you to deactivate thermal throttling.

July security update - bricked phone!
Beware!
The last OTA update (OPLS27.76-51-7, July security update) bricked my Moto Z! I had no root, battery was at about 60% - now every time I try to turn it on it displays "your phone has failed verification and may not work properly" and reboots to bootloader with no way to force boot into system.
Do at least a full backup before applying!
I'll post an update as soon as I hear back from the support.
just update the july update via OTA, working just fine
- moto z 8.0 RETAPAC non root, locked bootloader
- upgrade to 8.0 from 7.1 via sideload
Updated today to july security version without problems, retmx without root.
This bricked my phone too. Can't unlock the bootloader, and Moto Support says I can't do anything but send my phone to the seller and hope for a repair. As I never flashed anything on this phone, does anyone know how to flash the right factory image and make my brick actually work again? Thank you all for your help!

and these are the exact reasons why i switched to custom rom since i no longer trust the official updates since the initial oreo release
If this this update upgrades the bootloader from 92.03 to newer in the process you cant even fix it yourself by flashing the official oreo image , even with a locked bootloader you should still be able to do that

So, I upgraded to a moto x last year and haven't touched my vzw sgs3 since. I took out the sim card and gave it to my mom to use as a wifi only game player for her casino games.
Anyway, she finally made the switch and I activated it for her to use to test out the smartphone waters. I had to buy titanium backup and freeze the update because it already wanted to download updates which I'm sure would reek havoc on the phone.
From what I've searched and read, vzw locked up the bootloader and I can no longer flash updated roms or radios. Is this correct? It was super easy before but it seems complex now.
I don't want to brick the thing. I'll probably just leave it as is rather than fudge it up trying to update radios.
I guess the point of this post is what do I have to do to flash new stock roms and update radios? I've searched around and only seem to find stuff for people already on the locked bootloader and using a safestrap method. What about me on the unlocked bootloader?
If I have to lock it up then do all that jazz, I'll just leave it. If could figure out how to get it up to stock locked and on verizon ota I might do that but I'd hate to lose the unlocked bootloader and root in case I ever use this thing for anything again.

I'm also on the unlocked bootloader, there are several of us who still are. As far as the newest stock rom no you cant update to it which is 4.4.2 NE1, you can flash the modem but not the rom itself unless of course you want a locked bootloader
From my CM11 S3
I know this is a bit of an old bump, but rather than make a new thread I figured I'd use this one since the OP still applies.
I updated CWM recovery....can I flash, say, one of the AOSP roms that are on 5.1 or will I brick this? Also, can I flash updated radios or is that a no-no on my unlocked bootloader device? The above screenshot is still applicable to my radios version.

According to the CM12.1 thread you can:
Notes:
Please Use Firmware: VRBMF1
and
Modem/Baseband Version: NE1
If you have recently downgraded from 4.3 to 4.1.2, DO NOT flash the MF1 firmware. You'll brick your device!
If you know you never took the 4.3 OTA, then you can flash the firmware and modem to your hearts content.

Thanks for the update. I flashed an updated radio and a cm12.1 nightly with no issues.
Was as easy as I remember and brought a lot of life back to this phone.

Exactly, not for now at least without a device rebranding. Oh yes, EMUI 6 will be on Oreo, and we still don't know for sure if our device will finally get it or not.

Flash these files via dload. it should update you to the BLN-L21C185B361 version.

You sure its safe right? Because I've seen a lot of posts about manual updating where people are facing missing themes/fm radio/updater app and lots of bugs...
And will this void my warranty?

This happens the most when wrong firmwares for your build number are downloaded, but with the 3 packages that shashank linked to you yes, you are safe. They're official packages that matches your build
Thanks. Will flashing these void my warranty.
And if you don't mind, could you give me instructions on how to flash via dload...

These are absolutely stock version and no warranty loss.
For dload, check my signature below for dload guide. It is quick steps for all requirements and you can flash files easily.
Call customer care or chat with their online support they will ask for IMEI and few other things and updated will be there within 48 hours they have that hi care app where u can get online support or from there website or twitter or simply by calling customer care number
Thanks
Hey guys, sorry for the necrobump. I successfully flashed update.zip using dload (had to move it to internal storage to flash successfully).
But whenever I try to flash the 2nd file "update_full_BLN-L21_hw_meafnaf.zip" it goes upto 5% and fails. Also while booting it says "Your device has failed verification and may not work properly". On top of that, I lost file manager and update option in the settings (probably because the 2nd file did not flash). And for some reason, my build no. is "NRD90M test-keys" now...
Please help.
FYI, I'm still not rooted nor unlocked Bootloader.
I had the same problem: recovery stuck at 5 % until timed-out. Please make sure that your device is not connected to your computer via USB and then reboot into recovery mode. I unplugged the cable from both devices to be very sure.

I've managed to grab a copy of the v10d KDZ for the G710EM variant of the G7.
This firmware was originally an UK release, I believe customised for O2 (the only carrier to so far take the G7 in the UK).
This firmware originally shipped as an OTA upgrade to O2 branded handsets and was on my phone; but having "downgraded" to v10b, I can no longer re-upgrade to v10d either using LG Bridge or LG UP. (the update gets to 98% and then errors - the phone restarts the update process and then hangs at 2%. A hard power cycle of the phone brings it back online with the previous software version intact)
I'll gladly make this available if people want it; but it comes with the warning above that this *may not* work on your handset.

Sorry for the delay replying guys.
I've found that this update does not install over v10b (at least on my phone) as "upgrade" - it needs to be installed as "refurb".
This means it will do a factory reset after the installation
I guess you used uppercut, didn't you?
If so, how did you manage to flash as refurbished? I thought only upgrade option works.
My Lg G710EM upgrade today to v10f by FOTA. Now I have 4k 60fts. So I dont need kdz file.

Thx for your information.
A totally newbie question, actually two.
checking via LG bridge or OTA, does it makes any difference? Or they are both available at the same time?
Isn't there a "Sammobile" like website where you can just download the new updates and flash it?

The update available through FOTA (Firmware over-the-air) and LG's desktop software - LG Bridge.
LG push OTA update first and then several days later, You can use LG bridge to upgrade your phone.
Swedish newbie here.....
I was on v10b and rooted it. Now upgraded to v10f through computer as FOTA failed. Root is of course gone.
Is there any root for v10f yet?

So what do you folks think of the new Lenovo Smart Tab P10? I just ordered one because my LG G Pad 8.3 v500 is very long in the tooth and I finally just got tired of waiting for a good spec tablet with plenty of storage and memory to show up. It only has a midrange Snapdragon 450, but the storage a memory make up for that.

I was looking for a owners manual to read and found this. Looks like replacing the battery in the future won't be too bad. I'll cross my fingers and hope that the bootloader is unlockable.

I received my Lenovo Smart Tab P10 (TB-X705F) a few weeks ago. It's a nice tablet with good features. The only thing I'm struggling with is unlocking the bootloader. The developer options have the "Allow OEM unlocking" setting and I've enabled it, but no unlock commands are recognized when in fastboot mode. The error is "FAILED (Unknown command)". I've tried "fastboot oem unlock", "fastboot oem unlock-go", "fastboot flashing unlock" etc.
I hope Amazon didn't force Lenovo to lock down the bootloader because it has Alexa poopoo installed. I figure there will be a Chinese exploit for this and the LTE version eventually.
I couldn't stand Alexa and disabled it. I'm looking forward to TWRP so I can make a backup, root and install Adaway.
Same here....
Hey guys, I got the same issue, all unlock commands are unknown. Has anybody got a fix yet?
I had no problem with the bootloader, Tb-x704v. Install most recent https://devsjournal.com/download-minimal-adb-fastboot-tool.html it solved some of my issues.
I bought one a few weeks ago... No dock though. Seems ok, their os is pretty slim though, can't wait for some development.
it is project treble supported but still no lineage 16.1 (pie)? for lenovo tab P10 TB-X705L
Hi, you should be able to unlock bootloader with this command:
fastboot oem enable-unlock-once
TWRP
I installed the TWRP Builder app, but it couldn't extract the recovery image and build.prop file because I don't have root. Do you think that a TWRP recovery can be made from the older firmware in my first post? It has a recovery.img file, but couldn't find a build.prop file.

How do we get this device in to it's only device thread? When you search for it through "my device" in the xda app it doesn't come back with a correct result. Maybe it will also get more community development by doing that.
Any hope lineage 16.1 for lenovo tab P10
Hello all,
Any developments on this device. What are the chances of getting rid of the echo features and make it a Google assistant instead?
Can anybody share the alexa show mode apk? I'm downloading the firmware but it is taking ages
Any one been able to install the Google Now Launcher in this tablet? The Play Store message says that it's incompatible with this tablet.
Thanks for any assistance!
Did anybody try to unlock the bootloader in Linux?
I successfully rooted Z3 Play in Linux while it didn't work in Windows
Can anybody find full ROM in lollinet (where I can find Moto/Lenovo ROM)?
I've tried installing the stock images that are posted and keep getting a signature error using the recovery. I noticed that the image doesn't have a system.img but rather system_1.img-system_32.img. Is there a way to package the system files to install the new system? Having an issue with the OTA and it keeps wanting to install the PRN rather than the ROW image. Any thoughts?
Anyone successfully root this as of yet? Not seeing any TWRP for it or an approach.
I today received an update to Android 9 on my tablet. Was kind of surprised. Anyone else can confirm?
Update contains new "Le Tab UI".
so there is no way to root this tablet?

My tablet is rooted. I found a root solution a little while back, but I haven't posted it yet because it's not very user-friendly. Basically it requires that you do a fresh install of Oreo and it gets bricked on an OTA update. If you're interested in getting it rooted like that then send me a private message. If there's enough interest I'll create a root thread. I consider myself quite capable with Android but not a full expert. I'm really hurting without custom recovery and without a fastboot OEM unlock that works longer than once. That temporary unlock command successfully allows me to swap out the bootloader image but upon reboot it doesn't like the new image as it asks for a password that must be part of the bootloader security because it won't accept any passwords that I have set. Perhaps with a root thread we could all contribute to getting this working. I have two of P10s now so I'm able to test on my spare, but I don't have unlimited time to devote to this.
I know that a lot of people would be excited to get root on this device. I assure you sure you that it is possible. However, I don't want to start a thread with a solution that will force people to do a fresh install of Oreo and possibly lose data. And of course there's the problem with the OTA update which will brick the device. Of course everyone understands that they modify their device at their own risk, but I consider my root solution still a bit dirty and I was hoping at least to get it to accept OTA updates before I wrote up a root guide. I really think that if we could get a permanent bootloader unlock instead of a temporary unlock that we could get past this problem. And if somebody is out there that could make a TWRP image for this device, I think we would be golden as we could do a standard magisk root install via custom recovery.

I rooted my Samsung device previously, but has since done a clean flash and locked the bootloader so it's back to how it originally was. But now, if I update my phone, the IMEI & baseband are gone. I discovered that clean flashing the firmware A125FXXU1BUG1 seems to fix the issue for me.
So my question is, is it possible to update my phone without loosing my IMEI and baseband? And is this an issue caused by Samsung or me rooting my phone?
The same thing for me, I rooted, then go back to stock like you did but can't update to the latest version A125FXXU1BUI3. I'm currently on version A125FXXU1BUF9.
Edit.
I tried multiple times and couldn't upgrade. I updated it from the first available firmware Android 10 to the latest Android 11 in my region (A125FXXU1BUI3 XTC) with no luck. I tried every existing firmware on my device without success in updating to the current version, and I'm still stuck on version A125FXXU1BUF9. A125FXXU1BUI3 is only 710 MB in size, but no dice. I believe we are to blame for rooting our phones.
No luck means invalid IMEI and invalid baseband.
The issue isn't because you rooted your phones. Since the update A125FXXU1BUG6 I have also experienced IMEI and Baseband errors and I've never rooted my phone. I think the updates have a bug in them or something. Same goes with the latest A125FXXU1BUI3 update. I thought the latest one would fix it but it didn't. Waiting to see if the November security update will fix it
These are fimware issues made by samsung, they are not happending because you rooted your phone or triped knox or other... It's a ordinary fimware bug I thought they would fix in BUI3 which relased after BUG6(where the issue started happending) I thought then someone would allready report that, I don't actualy know if samsung knows this is happending or they just don't care to fix it.
And it's like as if anything over BUF9 is good... it really isn't. Some people say thay get bootloops and other weired issues on GSIs with fimware over BUF9 version. I haven't tested that my self yet, so I'm going of others people words. I dindn't test it because when I first saw the IMEI issues I didn't care to test.
Anyway, going to send a modem.tar file which could fix the issues, haven't tested....
I've flashed the new A125FXXU1BUJ4 November security update and the bug is still there but I was able to flash this IMEI/Baseband repair file and it fixed it. I actually reported to samsung but their response was to visit a help center. I guess they don't know it a bug in their firmware. Just flash the file using Odin and add it in CP.
