Hi, my s7 is running on Australian software. After update to Oreo the pop up notifications while using phone doesn't change. I have seen videos of s7 running on official Oreo rom with pop up notifications in a different style ( like that of s8 and s9 like a small Bubble on top of screen when message and other notification arrives.) Any idea how to fix that?
I was wondering the same thing...
Same here... is there any solution to that problem?

Hey guys. I'm running a Samsung Galaxy S7 on Nougat 7.0, AT&T. It's a fresh install not an OTA update install. Since i've installed nougat the now cards for both traffic and weather won't show up on my lockscreen as a notification, but i can get them in the notification panel. The issue is, if i'm not checking the notification panel, i'm missing my alerts since i don't know they're there. I have enabled notifications and options in both the google app and the maps app exactly as i always have in other software updates or phones. What am I missing here?
So, i just updated to the latest superman rom today, But i wont be talking about the rom. Instead i have noticed after coming from Marshmallow, When someone sends me a snapchat i get no notification at all just a icon in the status bar, and its really easy to ignore it. With Marshmallow, i used to get a notification. Here is a picture showing what it looked like, (This Image i uploaded in this post has facebook, but it was exact and said snapchat and who it was from) I dont get that anymore.

My Verizon Note 5 just updated to Nougat and I'm finding an annoyance with the new Notifications functionality. Is there a way to have the top notification expanded by default and not have to manually expand every notification? Seems like Marshmallow used to do that but now Nougat always displays every notification in collapsed view and the user has to manually expand them every time. What a pain the rear. Any ideas on how to fix or work around this?
I recently upgraded to Oreo on my S8+ and have noticed that when I clear notifications from the top notification bar, it also removes the notification dot/bubble from the app icon. I can't seem to find a way to get the dot/bubble to stay even when the notification is removed from the top. Anyone know how to remedy this?
That's not a bug, it's a "feature", the evolution of android the most sh#$%y that really get's my nervs.
Use Nova launcher, downgrade to nougat or use "IOS". Besides that there is multiple reasons to do it ...
I have just upgraded from a Z3 Compact to an S7 running Nougat.
Whenever I received an SMS notification on the Z3 I was given the option to 'Mark as read' either on the Lock Screen or in the Notification Bar. This was very handy and I would like to enable it on the S7 but I cannot seem to find any options for it?
Does anyone know if it is possible?
