Screen Recording with System Audio in EMUI 8.1
One of my favorite features of EMUI has always been the built-in screen recorder. With EMUI 8.1 they have improved this feature by letting you choose the audio input while you are recording. You can use your phone's microphone or you can select the system audio. Use system audio for recording games, streams, video chats, and anything else where you'd need the original audio source.
To activate screen recording, hold power + vol up. Then you will be asked to select your audio input. There is no limit to the amount of time that you can record, so just make sure you have enough space. I made a 1:20:00 recording and it ended up being 2.6GB.
Your recordings will save as a 606x1280p resolution .mp4 file. The notch at the top is blacked out for a better recording btw.

And on EMUI 9.1 they decided it's no longer needed and left only ability to record sound from microphone. Or record without sound if you don't like it.
Why the hell do they constantly take a dumb decisions like that? :|

Hi friends I just noticed that while during a call we are able to play music in background using third party media player like poweramp but only we can here that and the person on other side of call are not able to listen that, also the volume of call and music can be controlled separately. Now it could be possible to mix all sound like.
1. Sounds of call and music can be played through different speakers ie headset, Bluetooth or speakers separately.
2. Two or more media players able to play on different speakers.
3. We can mix call and music so the person other side of call can here music also..
4. We can record audio from different source like Mic,call,FM or music separatly at same time
5. There should be a mixture interface from which inputs and output can be controlled..
May be achieved through kernel/Rom modding along with some applications or any way...This will make our android devices great.
This is just an idea and I hope our great developer might take a look on this issue.... Thanks.

Not a development thread - moved to General.
I for one would like to see something like this.
I want to be able to record to MP3, snippets of songs I'm playing in Spotify to make ringtones and alarms.
Clearly it should be possible and our devices are most probably artificially limited to prevent piracy.
Can't see it changing any time soon unfortunately.
Is there a way to turn off the shutter click sound in HTC U11. Steps I tried
- Reduced music, ring, alarm, notification volume to 0
- No option in camera settings
- Disabled App notification from within App settings in settings
- Used Google Camera that too has shutter sound and no way to turn it off.
Am I missing something?. Thanks in advance.
I have a setting to turn off shutter sound:
HTC Camera > Settings > Shutter sound

I couldn't find it. I was on Android 7.1.1 thought maybe when I update to Oreo it will be fixed. I am on Oreo now still no option to turn off the shutter sound. Mine is an India HTC U11 on Android 8.0
The camera options are
Auto Smile
Touch Exposure
Grid
Volume Button Option
Storage
Auto Selfie
Voice Capture
There are no other options available.
Look here. I'm on stock 7.1.1 European though.

Where does your phone come from?
In some countries it's illegal to turn off the shutter sound, so the option is removed (I.E Japan).
It's stock EU with CID__034, bought in France via Orange.

Mine is Indian version and there is no version to disable shutter sound
Just got myself a great condition S7 at a knock-down price a few days ago and am currently working through the "rooting > bloatware removal > setting it up just how I want it" stages.
Now I'm trying to find a way to get rid of the shutter sounds on the camera. I'm aware of various ways I could do this with turning off system sounds / creating Automagic [like Tasker but better] Flows, etc to mute system volume when I want to use the camera. But I'm looking for something a bit more direct & permanent.
I read elsewhere here of other people renaming a file called shuttersound.ogg to achieve this, but I've not been able to find this file on my S7 [needless to say, the original poster of this suggestion didn't think it worthwhile to actually say where the file could be found!]
I have however found a few likely candidates in /System/Media/Audio/UI which when I previewed them made the sounds for camera shutter and video recording stop/start. I've renamed these to disable them, as you can see...

But it's not made any difference. My camera is still making shutter and record start/stop noises. I've restarted, in case the sounds were cached while the Camera.app had been running. But still no joy.
Anyone know of any other files which might need taking out the back and shot, so I can enjoy the sound of silence?
And Screen...
I was going to start a new thread for this. But might as well lump it in with previous.
The Samsung Camera also has an annoying "feature" whereby it brightens the screen to what looks like maximum brightness whenever I launch the camera. It's far too bright and I can't see any option to change this behaviour. Is it possible to manually control the brightness of the screen in the camera app?
Hello there! as the title states music shows up differently on my lock screen.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S10 5G, Android 12 & One UI version 4.1 - Lock Screen Version 7.1.89
The first image is my current lock screen and how music now plays. If I want to change songs I would have to click on the clock for me to get access (a screen recording will be provided below). This is frankly too much when trying to change music. If anyone knows how to change it back into the previous way as seen in the second image (not mine, but is how I would like the music player to show - as it did before).
I know its not big of a deal but I usually play music while driving so having to press an extra button (while unlikely) seems like a safety risk.
I have tried:
- Resetting app preferences
- Turn on/off notifications on Spotify
- Turn on/off playback on Spotify
- Logging out and back on Spotify
- Uninstalling and reinstalling/ Updating Spotify
- Tried a different music app. Same thing
If anyone knows how to fix this it would be mean a lot.
Thank you.

Use the "media and devices" to associate the music being played with it and set visibility on the locked screen.
There are not too many apps for Watch GT 3/Pro so nice to hear the new apps are developed for this powerful sport watch.
And last time a new app called Camera Opus was published for Watch GT 3 and GT 3 Pro.
Camera Opus controls phone's camera remotely by GT 3.
The app is absolutely free to download and ready to get by Health app for watch and mobile plugin by AppGallery here
What do you think about this app. What missing for you?

Nice. On the link they also advertise for Recorder (Sound recorder), but it's not (yet) on Health AppGallery...
Sorry, it's only for Watch 3. I do miss a sound recorder on GT3 Pro.

As I know there is missing audio record API on GT 3. Possible next upgrade extends tech capbiliteis for this watch then audio recorder will be possible to develop. Maybe we have to email to Huawei to add app like this for that great sport watch. Personally I do like this watch the most among all I got.
K How to make the image small on the clock screen, big like in the promotionHow to make the image small on the clock screen, big like in the promotion
It should be bigger along with new tech Huawei updates.
