HTC Camera Shutter Sound - HTC U11 Questions & Answers

Is there a way to turn off the shutter click sound in HTC U11. Steps I tried
- Reduced music, ring, alarm, notification volume to 0
- No option in camera settings
- Disabled App notification from within App settings in settings
- Used Google Camera that too has shutter sound and no way to turn it off.
Am I missing something?. Thanks in advance.

I have a setting to turn off shutter sound:
HTC Camera > Settings > Shutter sound

I couldn't find it. I was on Android 7.1.1 thought maybe when I update to Oreo it will be fixed. I am on Oreo now still no option to turn off the shutter sound. Mine is an India HTC U11 on Android 8.0
The camera options are
Auto Smile
Touch Exposure
Grid
Volume Button Option
Storage
Auto Selfie
Voice Capture
There are no other options available.

Look here. I'm on stock 7.1.1 European though.

Where does your phone come from?
In some countries it's illegal to turn off the shutter sound, so the option is removed (I.E Japan).

It's stock EU with CID__034, bought in France via Orange.

Low vibration intensity

I came to this phone from MotoG and it's a large step forward in most characteristics but one thing bugs me very much - the vibration intensity of Mi4c is very low.
When i keep the phone in my pocket i almost never feel it vibrate on notifications.
I flashed Cyanogen12 as soon as i got it so i don't know if this is a ROM problem or a hardware issue and i can't see any way of increasing the vibration intensity in Settings.
Searching the forum found me nothing on this subject, does anyone have similar experience?

So it's a rom issue?
what i have in settings is
Settings -> "Sounds" -> "Also vibrate for calls"/"Vibrate on touch" checkboxes
I have this;

Sorry, must have overlooked. I can see the option however I'm not sure if it affects the vibration intensity overall. I believe it only controls the strength of the "haptic feedback". Try to turn off vibrate on touch and the option to change the vibration intensity will be greyed out
I also find it way to low...
I am using Xposed with the vibration tuner module, and now it is okay.

Killing the Camera Sounds? Dimming the Camera Screen?

Just got myself a great condition S7 at a knock-down price a few days ago and am currently working through the "rooting > bloatware removal > setting it up just how I want it" stages.
Now I'm trying to find a way to get rid of the shutter sounds on the camera. I'm aware of various ways I could do this with turning off system sounds / creating Automagic [like Tasker but better] Flows, etc to mute system volume when I want to use the camera. But I'm looking for something a bit more direct & permanent.
I read elsewhere here of other people renaming a file called shuttersound.ogg to achieve this, but I've not been able to find this file on my S7 [needless to say, the original poster of this suggestion didn't think it worthwhile to actually say where the file could be found!]
I have however found a few likely candidates in /System/Media/Audio/UI which when I previewed them made the sounds for camera shutter and video recording stop/start. I've renamed these to disable them, as you can see...

But it's not made any difference. My camera is still making shutter and record start/stop noises. I've restarted, in case the sounds were cached while the Camera.app had been running. But still no joy.
Anyone know of any other files which might need taking out the back and shot, so I can enjoy the sound of silence?
And Screen...
I was going to start a new thread for this. But might as well lump it in with previous.
The Samsung Camera also has an annoying "feature" whereby it brightens the screen to what looks like maximum brightness whenever I launch the camera. It's far too bright and I can't see any option to change this behaviour. Is it possible to manually control the brightness of the screen in the camera app?

Alternative to stock camera

I guess there is no alternative to stock camera ? (That can handle camera motor + switch between lenses) ?
I hate that user interface where all modes can be switched only with this narrow text roll. Also user settings are so minimal.

Tried but it's the same style mode-change where swipe left/right until you find the mode you need. Also it lacks the flip camera control to other angles than 180. And it crashes when opening slow motion.

Question Completely turn off vibration

My previous Note20 Ultra was able to turn off vibration completely whenever I receive notification by sliding vibration intensity to left. Now in A52 4G I still got vibration.

Need to go to every app settings by press and hold the icon then tap "i" then notifications there you can tap the word default or other there will be a new settings will pop up and you can disable vibrate from there.
My 10+ never vibrates, been over year since I did it but this how you start. The settings search feature is sweet... sometimes.
Settings>search>vibration

Yeah that was for Pie, in Q and above who knows what it mutated into... they made some radical and inept changes
Basically you play and explore Androids to learn how to use them... it's fun. They're almost impossible to crash.
Oops my wrong, so the vibration intensity setting now only affects touch interaction, not notification. Gotta dedicate my time for setting all my app vibration

Pixel 4a HDR on/off

I'm looking for the simplest app that allows me to turn HDR on and off. That option is not on Android 12, it's always on.
I don't need an elaborate app that does a whole lot of things.

Better than stock gcam.. you can turn off hdr and turn on hdr+
Also lot of modification.
Oh nice...ty!
Will that apk replace the stock app, or just add to it? Will I lose the highlight and shadow sliders?
I tried Open Camera. It lets you use their HDR or turn it off. I found no difference at all between their normal and HDR pics.
Their pics were just about as good as the native app, which has sliders for highlights and shadows, for precisely dialing in the exposure.

Not at all, it's a 3rd party app and it won't replace the stock camera. Btw i even found better one. Here's the latest version link -https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/dev-MWP/f/dl23/
U will find manual control there, but for manual control u need to turn on hdr++
