And now its stuck showing this exactly "important tip ∆ downloading and installing non-cool official systems may give the device and no longer enjoy free coolpad after-sales services. Follow-up after sale will be charged according to regulations. If you still want to download an unofficial system, press the volume up key, otherwise press the volume down key to cancel the operation " then when i press the volume up its says "important note do not disconnect the data cable".. And it the volume up button only takes me to the other page when my charger is plugged in and no volume combination to boot into any mode and holding the power button down only reboots back into the same page please help me anyone. Also computer doesn't see the phone too.

Hello,
I think I might be at the end of the road with my tablet. I've never rooted it or tampered with it in an way, however yesterday it locked up so I did the usual soft reset (hold power and vol+ for 10 seconds) I then turned it back on and the sony logo popped up, but there it just hung. If I press and hold the power button it switches off, a brief press on the power button brings it back on in the same state. So I go Googling, including looking at threads on this site, all seemed to advise to try to get the Android recovery menu up. on the Sony this is done by holding the power and vol+ and then releasing the power button (only) when the son logo appears (this process to be started when the tablet is off) so I did this, and no response at all. Worse than that, where it would turn on and instantly hang, it now doesn't turn on at all. Hooking it up to my PC I can see the device in device manager, but it tells me my usb device has malfunctioned.
At the moment, my thoughts are to open it up, to:
1. Check that the power/volume buttons aren't stuck in some way (preventing the boot command being given correctly)
2. Remove and resolder if necessary internal battery to force a power cycle.
3. Bin it and get something new (it is 2.5yrs old so no big loss i suppose)
Any ideas where to look or similar experiences?
Thanks

Good day !
Hi guys,
this is my first post on this comprehensive website which helped a lot in the past by reading slimmer issues and their fixes,
now I have hard one, my oldie Galaxy note, GT-N7000, stopped working with the following symptoms,
The phone suddenly stopped, black screen, I removed the battery for a minute, put it back, pressed power button the phone stuck on Welcome Samsung logo screen,
removed the batteries for a minute, pressed the 3 combination Home+Power+up the phone give the first screen of recovery Waring " A custom OS can ......, then two option Volume Up: continue and Volume down to cancel (restart phone), if I press volume down the phone black died! otherwise if I press volume up the phone go to " downloading don't turn off target" stuck forever, no other keys are responding, I had to remove the battery and start again.
when I connect to Kies, refuses the "emergency firmware recovery" as I don't have recovery code, as well as when I use "firmware upgrade and initialization" it prompt me that this device is not supported!
lastly when I am in downloading mode connecting to Kies, the application trying to connect keep circulating like trying to connect with no result.
I charged my both batteries to 100% , changed 3 PC's, used different usb cables, nothing worked.
If you have an idea to share, I would be much grateful

I have a Galaxy S6 with a faulty power button.
I took it to a Samsung Repair Centre.
After "diagnosing" the problem (which I had to pay for), I was told that the faulty power button was due to "liquid damage" (it has never been in water everything else works fine).
They said it would cost £180 to repair and would require they replace the whole motherboard.
I refused as I cannot afford that repair and would rather consult a third party shop or purchase a brand new phone.
Unfortunately, the state I received the phone back in unusable.
Before the phone was sent in, it was at least in a state where I could at least use it (providing I kept it charged and did not power it off).
Now its just stuck in a recovery mode => restart => no command (boot loop), and I cannot select an option from the recovery mode screen because the power button does not work.
I planned to flash the stock firmware to try in order to get it out of this loop, and I can get it to boot to download mode as the volume buttons and home button work fine.
However, now when I'm at the cyan warning screen it prompts me for volume up to continue.
I press volume up and nothing happens. I know that these buttons work for a fact as in recovery mode I can navigate up and down.
Any ideas whats going on? or what I should try next?
Videos of the issue
(Tinfoil theory: Did they purposefully lock down download mode after inspecting it?)
If you have time, continuously keep pressing volume up and power until it gets you into Odin. Best of luck.
We're on slightly different devices, but mine has the same defect. The power button failed overnight, it worked to start the device but afterwards, the power button became stuck in the pressed state and I couldn't lock the device (not mechanically, it is still clicky). The volume down button still worked (I don't have to hold power to force a restart because it's stuck in the pressed state), I wanted to take a look at the knox status in the download mode, it didn't respond to volume up, this means that it's dependent on not having power pressed. I somehow got the restart confirmation to show with the power button, twice, so it's not completely defective. The volume down button cycled through being stuck and non-clicky, working normally, and being stuck while being mostly clicky, like the power button, though it doesn't seem to be stuck in the pressed state. It's likely because I kept pushing Volume Down for hours in a terminal emulator. Today, it takes 5 mins of torturing Volume Down to restart the device. Eventually, it might fail completely. This device seems to be able to ignore volume up / down if those buttons are stuck and work almost completely normally.
A friend of mine tried to root his S8+ from T-Mobile while following random instructions on the Internet and got his phone into this weird boot screen, which I must say I have never seen before.
Note: I have tried many times to enter to download mode by using the power button, bixy, vol- combination to no avail. When I turn the phone off and plug it in into the computer it gets recognized as QUSB_BULK.

I was wondering if any of you have had similar experiencies or perhaps even help me find a solution. Thank you in advance for your assistance.
This isn't anything out of the norm and has been covered more times to count. Get back into Download mode and finish the process.
Thank you for your answer and thank you for pointing out that I should have said that I've tried countless times to enter download mode by pressing vol- + power button and then power + vol- + bixby to no avail.
The only way to get the phone to boot into something is to press all buttons together while waiting around 10 seconds which, gets me to the screen in the picture.
Is there another way to enter download mode apart from using the regular bixy + vol - + power button combination?
hold down vol- and power only. when it resets, immediately keep trying bixby vol- and power. also if the phone is in a case take it out.
i think you have a fake s8+
It doesn't work, it gets detected as QUSB_BULK every time, only if I press all buttons does it give me a screen which is the one posted.
This is a genuine S8+ from T-mobile, I've made sure of it!
This happened to me
This is the worst, after giving up thinking my phone was bricked I just let it run out of battery. After it was dead i held volume down + power + bixby while plugging in a charger and to my suprise it went into download mode. I tried again and again to confirm it worked and it worked every time. So you just have to wait till the phones completely dead, and hold those 3 buttons while plugging it in to a charger.
Thank you for your answer, I did try that but it didn't work for me... no download mode, just that upload mode - unknown error...
I have the same issue plz help
Yup I've seen that same screen you're referring to on my S8+ Tmobile. It's tricky but you can make it work. Change the way you try to hold that combination of buttons. As previous answers mentioned, you have to be quick.
Here is what worked for me:
I plugged the phone into the computer, using the original USB cable.
Hold "PWR"+"BXB"+"VOLUP" until you see the phone's screen blacking out completely. Then IMMEDIATELY hold "PWR"+"VOLDN" and keep holding. That should put you back into Download Mode.
Again, it'a bit tricky so keep trying and checking your technique but you should eventually get it.
I've seen that issue before where no button combination gets you out the QUSB_BULK mode. I'm afraid it's a corrupted bootloader (aboot), which can only be fixed using a special "Dead-Boot" package, which uses a QComm low level loader (not download mode). You can search for it, but it's pretty hard to get since it's specifically written for each model. Here's a package available on a pay site https://combinefile.com/index.php?a=downloads&b=file&id=32731
Hi Everyone,
Phone decided to randomly turn off (at around 80% charge) and now won't boot. Have tried all the basic TS guides.
have tried:
-Charging - no on-screen displays
-Holding power button for various intervals
-Button combinations (Power + vol up....etc)
Connecting to PC gives me an indication that it has detected a USB connection, then consistently after ~40s I get the disconnect notification sound. Then off for 20s and the the cycle repeats.
I'm assuming it is stuck in bootloop for some reason but still nothing from the screen.
Phone hasn't been dropped, rooted, is running stock ROM etc...
any ideas?
Assuming the bootloop isn't caused by hardware failure then you can try forcing your phone into its Recovery mode by holding down the power button and volume down button simultaneously. From here, you may be able to roll your phone back or restore a previous backup. However, this often results in data loss, which isn't ideal, so you might have to weigh up your options.
If this doesn't work, you'll need to enter your smartphone's Safe Mode. When your phone is booting, and you see the manufacturer's name appear, press and hold the volume down button to put your device into Safe Mode. Here, you can follow prompts to hopefully remove whatever program, app, or software updates forced your phone into a bootloop.

It won't boot at all, the screen doesn't turn on. But surely something like this doesn't just randomly fail
My recommendation: take phone to authorized service center and let them try to fix it.
