Hi guys !
I hope someone can help me
So, I have a Huawei mediapad X2 and I tried to install TWRP on it.
Huawei M2-801W
I unlock the bootloader by the way.
I tried with few adb version (15 seconds ADB Installer v1.4.3) and few TWRP version too.
I can install TWRP on bootloader mode :
C:\Users\Desktop\platform-tools_r28.0.0-windows\platform-tools>fastboot flash recovery twrp.img
Sending 'recovery' (25422 KB) OKAY [ 0.836s]
Writing 'recovery' OKAY [ 0.423s]
Finished. Total time: 1.275s
But when I tried to boot on recovery mode, I have the Huawei logo and nothing happened.
someone knows how to fix this ?
Thanks !!
Which twrp are you using? What system are you currently on? If you're on lower than B112 (which you probably are) then you have to use an older version of twrp. This is the older version:

Also, next time post this in the TWRP thread where it belongs.
Sorry for the late answer,
i'm on B217 - EMUI 4.0.3 - Android 6
I tried your TWRP version but still can't boot in recovery mode
I Always have the Huawei boot screen
I also tried with thos TWRP version :
TWRP+3.2.1-0+Black+Light+Blue+X2
twrp-3.2.2-0-mozart
X2-TWRP-6.0-BLACK-DEEPBLUE
Thanks again

Hi, everybody, I am having problems with my nvidia shield tablet, it seems that after I had updated to android 6.0 I lost my custom recovery, and the original recovery is not there. Therefore I cannot update to 6.0.1, i cannot root, and my computer does not recognize the tablet when i go into the bootloader. Please help!
Are you able to turn off the tablet and use the volume keys to get into bootloader/fastboot mode? You can fastboot flash recovery from there.

Sorry it took so long to reply, yes, I can get into the boot loader. I can even fastboot, but my computer can't seem to communicate to my tablet once its in Fastboot/bootloader so every time I try to do as you said. My computer can't send the commands because it doesn't recognize the tablet.
Update drivers
I also lost twrp and root after the full OTA update. I tried to fastboot flash recovery back, but when I reboot into recovery it says "no command". How can I fix this? Its seems as if the recovery partition is gone? Thanks for any help.

How can I get TWRP to flash then? I am getting this:
Code:
sudo ./fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
[sudo] password:
target reported max download size of 100663296 bytes
sending 'recovery' (7228 KB)...
OKAY [ 0.353s]
writing 'recovery'...
OKAY [ 0.334s]
finished. total time: 0.687s
It finishes too fast to actually do anything. I have tried both 3.0.0 and 3.0.2 twrp for MM. I would appreciate any suggestions on how to fix this. Thanks.
You renamed twrp to recovery? If so you did flash it. Do you reboot directly into recovery?
Sent from my SHIELD Tablet using Tapatalk
Yes I renamed it to recovery.img and rebooted. When I reboot to recovery, it still just says no command.
Are you unlocked?
Yes boot loader shows unlocked
Latest twrp?
I'm trying to obtain root on a Shield K1 that has the latest ota update (5.4).
I've unlocked the bootloader, but the latest TWRP just won't flash, says OK and writes to recovery, but same stock recovery stays there.
Do I need to use an older developer image, one that was released prior to the latest TWRP?
This is what the terminal is giving me:
Code:
[[email protected] tablet ]$ sudo fastboot flash recovery twrp-3.2.1-0-shieldtablet.img
target reported max download size of 100663296 bytes
sending 'recovery' (12426 KB)...
OKAY [ 0.487s]
writing 'recovery'...
OKAY [ 0.506s]
finished. total time: 0.993s
Then, when I reboot to recovery, I get a dead robot with a little ? & "No command"
EDIT: OK, I fixed it, by using "fastboot boot twrp.img" and then installing lineage and then installing twrp
I didn't know that you could boot an image without installing it that's really good to know.
So that's a workaround.
I could just compile a new TWRP but that would take effort

You definitely don't need to do that. I have a K1 on 5.4, and TWRP works fine. Although I did already have TWRP installed before flashing 5.4. So not sure if that makes a difference.
Try fastboot erase cache, and flash a different TWRP build (like a build or 2 older such as 3.1.1-0).
I fixed this already
Hi.
After trying to upgrade my rooted P20 eml-l09 c605 with EMUI 9.x, I couln't get into recovery mode anymore (on button + vol up)
What I did was flash original ramdis.img and recovery_ramdis.img to unroot it, so i could upgrade it directly from the phone, but something bad happened so I couldn't get the recovey menu anymore.
Help please.
PS: (Bootloader is unlocked)
This message appears when I try to flash recovery_ramdisk
- Flashing TWRP recovery
target reported max download size of 471859200 bytes
sending 'recovery_ramdisk' (23542 KB)...
OKAY [ 0.577s]
writing 'recovery_ramdisk'...
FAILED (remote: Command not allowed)
finished. total time: 0.590s
Where did you find the original ramdisk image from?
I need it too because i accidently flashed a TWRP version that doesent work
I can't flash anything, even with the original ramdisk (downloaded from firmware finder).
I really don't know what to do.
My phone is an EML-L09C605, it is working and rooted.
Only I can get to fastboot menu.
I still haven't got a solution but, Is downgrading it the way to follow?
Help please.
Hi. I unlocked bootloader and flashed twrp via fastboot, but when I try to boot into it, the phone gets stuck at "your phone is booting now". The stock recovery no longer works. The phone's never been updated, still on Android 6.0 and EMUI 4.0. I tried several twrp versions with the same effect. What am I doing wrong? Can dm-verity be somehow interfering with twrp? Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
Code:
fastboot flash recovery twrp-3.0.2-0-next.img
target reported max download size of 471859200 bytes
sending 'recovery' (22020 KB)...
OKAY [ 0.701s]
writing 'recovery'...
OKAY [ 0.129s]
finished. total time: 0.830s
Months later I tried the same, also NXT-L29
Endless:
"Your device has been unlocked and can't be trusted....."
Your device is booting now...
Any solution please?
Hi All,
I need some help please with (soft?) bricked Note 7 pro. I have the global version and installed e. foundation ROM which is a fork of LineageOS. This was working well until I loaded the latest version last week. Now the phone seems to be softbricked.
I can get into fastboot. I have downloaded TWRP violet and when I run "fastboot flash recovery twrp-3.3.0-0-violet.img" I get:
target reported max download size of 536870912 bytes
sending 'recovery' (65536 KB)...
OKAY [ 1.723s]
writing 'recovery'...
OKAY [ 0.370s]
finished. total time: 2.093s
However when I try to boot into that recovery it wont work. (I just see the "Redmi by Xiaomi" screen with the "unlocked" detail at the bottom.
I also tried to run "fastboot boot twrp-3.3.0-0-violet.img" but that leads to a "system has been destroyed" message.
I downloaded the Mi unlock tool and tried to unlock again, just in case, but that tool reported that the phone is unlocked already.
I should point out that I get the same result with twrp-3.3.1-0-violet.img
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can try next? I am reluctant to remove the back from the phone.
Thanks
