For what it's worth, I can't test the update myself because hours after posting this thread, my beloved LG Flex2 died.
Sometimes there's only a few lines on the screen, sometimes it boots in QHUSB 9008 mode, oftentimes it boots a little bit but then dies, etc.

The same here - with this update it was getting slower and slower. Finally today my LG G Flex 2 died - it didn't boot anymore.

Mine is fortunately still alive and i did the update but didn't really see much difference in performance and whatnot?!? Update didn't even include newer security level which is odd. I guess this update just improved something that is not very visible for common user like me. Well, update is update and i was glad to see this model isn't totally abandoned by LG

Got the update also. I think it was just for new eu privacy law.
Nothing much changed.

[Q] Update notification today APR 14 2013?

This evening I connected my phone to WiFi and I have been notified about an update. I have a Vodafone-locked handset.
This is my current phone version:

Has anyone else received this update today? Anyone know what is included in this update?
I shall download and install the update now and then post back my phone version page in this thread...
No replies? Huh, ok?
Anyway, this is what the update said it was:
And this is my version after the successful update (took about 10 minutes):
This is what I received this morning on my c625a (unlocked):
Yip i received this update last night too, appears to be a firmware & bootloader update, not os, so will need to see what the update has 'fixed'. Hopefully related to random reboots but that is unknown at this time.
Lets test and find out
btw, carrier unlocked 8x.

stuck on update screen
I've tried to install this update but the it was stuck on the update screen with the two cogs rotating... If I turn off the phone it reboots itslf imediately and goes directly to this same screen... I can't turn my phone off and can't even do a hard reset!!
Any help?
Does anyone have battery problems after this update? It seems to me that after installing there is much more battery draining. Connection seems to be improved.
Edit : seems that the battery drain is gone after I disabled some background apps.
Looks like the htc update is a step forward in the good direction. Overall satisfied with my device.
Battery drain appears to be worse post-update; however it could be Kik Messenger. Not noticed anything else beneficial though.

bottom part of the screen flickers

so i bought this 16gb nexus 5 D820 a little over 2 months ago and had no problems with it whatsoever until this noon, when i was just browsing the 'net as usual, my phone became warm, i thought it was normal since i checked cpu-z it said it was 45 degrees and normal, cool..i kept on browsing till it rebooted by itself twice, still no problem,cool. since it was running low on battery i charged it and upon finishing the screen looks like this now, apart from it, everything else still works though.

i thought it was software issue since i didn't crack the screen, nor did i drop it, i was on purity + hellscore then. i flashed google factory image, unroot it and locked the bootloader again making it look as if it was just taken out of the box, but to no avail, it still looks like this up until now
i guess the heat somehow broke the lcd's component,
has anyone ever experienced this before ? how on earth could this happen?
Just a random hardware failure... These things just happen out of the blue... I'm not sure but I don't think this flickering has anything to do with the device rebooting itself on getting hot..
RMA it asap...
Even I am facing the same issue since few days. I am yet yo find the solution to fix this. I do not want to replace the display just for this. I just hope this might not create any problems in future. Please let me know if u have found the solution to fix this issue

Moto G 2015 "Ghost or Phantom Touches"

Hello, I'm having issues with my Moto G 2015, the screen registers input when I'm not touching it, I switched on developer mode and set it to shot touches, and this was the result:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
It does this seemingly at random, and it almost makes it entirely unusable. I've tried wiping the cache and factory resetting the device, and it still has issues. I've also tried cleaning the charging port with a can of air, and cleaning the screen. I'm not using a screen protector.
Any insight would be appreciated.
Apologies for the size of the screenshot.

Did you look through some of the threads here, there are several threads similar to yours? Basically, many of us have the ghost touch issue... This has been on ongoing problem for many people since the device was released, and it seems to get worse and worse with each subsequent OS update (it is rumored that this is why the 6.0.1 roll-out seems to have stopped). There is no known "fix" unfortunately, although if you have a tempered glass screen protector, many users have reported improvements after removing it.
Wow I thought this happened only with me, I called it overdrive mode, happens more often when battery low, It once took 44 pics in like 5 seconds!

Just got it this morning with a May patch. After the download it took just under 30 minutes to install. So far so good.

Thanks!
Can you please share any screenshots with regard to this? One that shows the new software version, perhaps!
Sure, no problem!

Here, this is our screenshot - download is over 1 GB in size, not the typical OTA patch with security update only, take a few minutes & when finished. Continue to update & it will reboot, be sure that your battery is 80% charged or connected to a wall charger/source - took about 10 or 15 minutes to finish.
As always, best practice is to backup to cloud and/or a external/USB drive of anything important, although data or storage partition wasn't wiped & nothing lost with user/data on the device.
Upon upgrading from Android 8 to 9.0 Pie, some of the Apps will be updated as well.
South America got a June patch already.
Just got the August update this morning.

SM-N915V -- Downgraded from 6.0.1 to 4.4.4 with mixed results

So, this is a little bit odd.
I have long since moved from using a Samsung phone as my daily driver, but still use my Note Edge while on the go as a mobile sketchbook. Well, last night I accidentally approved the OTA update that had been pending on my phone for several years straight, which updated my device to Marshmallow. The 6.0.1 update caused my performance to tank hardcore, to the point where it's borderline unusable and my battery drains in less than an hour. Unacceptable.
I used Odin to flash back to 4.4.4. I grabbed a stock ROM for my device and Odin 3.12.7, put it into recovery mode, and started the process. Surprisingly, everything went off without a hitch and I found myself with a green PASS box and no errors in the Odin log. Sweet.

However, something's not right. I'm still on Marshmallow, but with all of the old KitKat apps having replaced the ones that updated. All of the icons are their older versions and even the system font is back to its old thick, round self. The OTA update is back, somehow, and my phone's About page says I'm still on 6.0.1. User data was also not touched. The baseband of the phone matches the file I used, so I definitely flashed the ROM.
Obviously I missed a step. I thought this process would factory reset my device?
