Just ordered a Oneplus 6, it will be my first USB C device, any recommendations for USB C - OTG adapters that work nicely?
Thanks!
I have had this for 1.5 years for now and works as expected (atleast with usb stick... first with OP 3T and now with OP6): https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Typ...330.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.27424c4dxAL2qC
such a discomfort that otg cannot functioning via any cable.
It's highly inconvenient to remove my magnet adapter for magnet cable.
OnePlus sells one from their website https://www.oneplus.com/oneplus-type-c-otg-cable
I got this one from Amazon and it works great.

I bought this one and it works well - Type C to USB 3.0 OTG Adapter, USB-C 3.1 Male to USB 3.0 A Female Adapter, aloici USB-C OTG Host Cable (On the Go) for MacBook Pro, Galaxy S9/8/Note8/Tab, Pixel 2, OnePlus5, Sony XZ and More (black) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B076ZH1P5M?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf
Around 10$.
Usb typa C to Usb 3.1 OTG adapter.
I got this since OnePlus 3 phone. Works fine on Op6. Just instaled one rom with it.
Hi guys, I got a usb 3.0 I used to use on my Samsung, now I got an adaptor for my op6, I have an issue, everything works great, but the videos are laggy, what could this be any ideas, adaptor fault, or the usb is too slow?
I got an adaptor with my Mayflash Magic-NS wireless adaptor. It's working nicely on my Switch and on my phone (yeah I can use various wireless controllers, some of which would not work well on android due to this device). Works for my USB disk on this phone nicely too.

I've been checking Benson's reviews regularly for a short micro to type-c cable for my ha2. It's been a few weeks since I last checked, but I haven't found anything confirmed to be specifications compliant. I'll check later tonight.
Yeah I haven't found no information either..
Came here looking for the same answer? I can't get my OPPO HA-2 to work with my Nexus 5x. I bought a Micro to USB C converter cable but it doesn't seem to work. Might be due to specific wiring for USB OTG.
Has anyone here had luck?
Hi, I couldn't get my OPPO HA-2 and Nexus 6P working with converters. I found a thread in reddit pointing to a USB C to Micro USB by Anker (Anker USB-C to Micro USB Cable (3.3ft) for USB Type-C Devices Including the new MacBook, ChromeBook Pixel, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Nokia N1 Tablet and More - $7.99 on Amazon) and ordered it last week. Just wanted to let everyone know that it works perfectly (definitely stereo, and not mono like some users reported).

Hey, it was working? I also tried a cable type c micro usb, but I have not earned anything, support oppo told me that the type c is not supported.
I've got an existing OTG cable with micro USB. Does that work for things like thumb drives and mice using the adapter?
If not, would this work?

thanks..
It comes with a USB-C to USB-A adapter in the box. You should be able to plug your thumb drive or mouse into that.

I don't know why they would get rid of something as old as OTG support so I'm assuming that yes it will work.
yes otg works and the samsung smart switch lets you plug one phone into the other and transfer data
Just reading through the AT&T manual: it states clearly that OTG will not work through the supplied USB connector (p9). Nor can you use it to charge the Note 7 from a computer (p12).
With built-in battery too - hope the Note 7 isn't just another pretty fetish.

Well all of the above work on my T-Mobile variant.
On my t-mobile Note 7, I cannot get my Dragonfly Red to work via USB OTG.

It is a DAC/Preamp. So you use the included microUSB to USB C adapter for your OTG cable?
Yup

idk but all my jump drives work just fine, same as my s7 edge.
just plug them into the usb c otg and tranfer files via samsung file app
Ok. I just realized that there is an otg usb to usb c adapter in the box. That one actually works just fine with my external dac.

I can't get my Oppo HA-2 DAC to work at all. I tried using the included adapters but nothing. I went and bought a USB - USB C cable and that also didn't work. The only way I have been able to get audio is to use a standard charging cable (USB - MicroUSB) and put the USB C adapter on the MicroUSB end. However this charges the Oppo from the Note 7 and I can't disable that. Will burn through the battery in no time! Not sure what else to try at this stage
+1 I have successfully used a SanDisk 8gb flash drive with an aftermarket Rankle usb adapter. I have an AT&T Note 7.
Cheers

I use the included USB-USB C adapter with a USB -USB Mini(?) and my Fiio Alpen. As you mentioned, the Note7 charges the DAC. This also happened with my Note4. You should be able to use a wireless charging pad to charge the Note7 at the same time. That's what I did when I was transferring files between phones. It's transportable but not very mobile.
My little micro usb fan does NOT work with the included usb 3 to microusb connector. So, i'm gonna assume OTG doesnt work as it used to.
Can someone recommend an adaptor that support other micro usb peripherals?
Purchased numorous adaptors however they only support charging, could not even get it to transfer data.

AUKEY USB C to Micro USB Adapter (3 Pack) for Data Syncing and Charging, Compatible with LG G5, Nexus 6P, Nexus 5x, and More https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01ANLA6OU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_dSH0xbYZAYJ4Z
Yes, I checked settings->extra->OTG-Storage
and there is also a notification tile, which does the same.
BUT: OTG is not working tried this with several adapters, but not the original!
Works fine with me.
Been using it to transfer data over from the 5T.
I used f.e. an adapter usb c to micro usb and than an usb stick with micro usb (not working)
I used also an adapter usb c to micro usb, a micro usb org cable to usb 3.0 and than a usb 3.0 stick (same result)
On my old op3 it helped if you first put the USB drive in the adapter before you insert the adapter in the phone, if adapter (even the original one) was put in first it would not recognize a USB drive.. Hope it helps
Your idea didn't helped.
Normally the LEDs should blink, but nothing happens...
Just to be shure: is original otg adapter is not the only way, it should work with every otg-cable...(?)
Did you check OTG in settings/advanced? It's working great for me and I have an 1€ OTG adapter from China.
Works here great. It works if its enabled before or after inserting. I'm using it with the USB C Yubikey. Only annoyance is you have to turn it on every 15 minutes but I believe there is a Magisk module that can fix this.
I think, I solved it:
The first adapter: usb c to micro USB has no OTG support: It was the last sentence in the fine print:
" USB On-The-Go wird nicht unterstützt"

hi, i would like to use my xzp for octoprint until raspberrys are available again. The OTG function works but I can't charge and use otg at the same time with a Y-cable (aca mode?). I tested the stock and [ROM][13][OFFICIAL] NusantaraProject 5.2 (Toba) [14/11/2022]. Anyone an idea?
Well in theory it should be possible, with a adapter ("double dongle"), that has USB C to USB A to USB A
Like this one (link to amazon) (here's the link in case you can't click it:
https://www.amazon.com/-/de/dp/B07T...ix=usb+c+to+dual+usb+a+adapter,aps,187&sr=8-3 )
You could also search for something like this: usb c to dual usb a adapter
And you should get a few results.
I had one for my samsung (micro usb) and this kind of (double) dongle (adapter) worked.
