Noticed very erratic behavior on the Nexus 5 :
The phone automatically shuts down.. tries to restart and reboots once it reaches the Google logo. It then continues in a reboot loop.
It got out of the reboot loop, but now it's completely dead. No charge indicator. Won't start at all. Cannot even get into the recovery.
Happened once before. Same issue: reboot loop + dead phone but it started working after a while.
What should I do? The battery was charged when it died.
Also, before it died, whenever I pressed the power button to turn off the screen, the screen went off, but then came on automatically again.

I'm currently experiencing the same problem, my Nexus 5 is apparently has a stuck power button, it'll power up and off again constantly and attempting to go into the bootloadeer wont help as the power button being stuck it starts up immediatly i cannot change the option quick enough to go into recovery mode.
I'm thinking the only option here is to send it back to Google and have it swapped or repaired.
Hi, so I was using my phone yesterday and suddenly it froze. Pressing the on-screen home button would do nothing so like it was completely frozen. So I took out the battery and put it back and tried to restart it. It would load to the LG Logo and then just a blank screen. I know it's not a battery issue because when I plug it in, it will show the charging icon and charge. I've tried data resetting it, but even that didn't help or change anything. Also when I did a data reset, it will freeze on the screen for a few seconds after I pressed yes and then would restart and show me the LG logo and then the blank screen again.
Any help for a poor soul who just wants to text this cute new girl he's started talking to and doesn't wanna mess up his chances? Thank you <3
Edit:The Blue LED also flashes on start up

Was the phone completely stock? If so this is a hardware failure and only fix is warranty

Hi,
Today there was software update notification which is 2.5GB, my phone does not have that space so I'm sure I did not go for the update.
My phone is constantly rebooting.
What I tried,
- Pressed Power + Vol down button, I see fastboot screen but that stays only for 2-3 seconds and goes to boot loop
- Power + Vol up button, now boot loop shows Reboot, Wipe Data, Connect with MIAssistant for 1 sec and reboots to show same options, I can't select Reboot or MIAssistant option it just reboots.
How can I fix this without losing data? I have some 2FA authentication with Google Authy which is essential and cannot lose.
Please help
Thank you.

I have the same issue
Hey guys, did any of you solve the problem?
My wife's phone was tracking dinner delivery and right after delivered, phone started rebooting, I can't find any similar issue before June 22 on Google, probably some update bricked some phones?
I bought us 2 poco x3 nfc in December 2020 and so far I was super happy and not feeling like I had to upgrade...
I doubt it's going to help but now I'm waiting it to run out of battery completely to try to do a complete fresh start.
Well... Turns out it worked. It was looping even when it ran out of battery, you can see by the led on the call speaker. Some hours later there was no sign of battery so I plugged the charger, still no response of any key or keys but after 30/45mins, suddenly phone woke up with 65% battery and booted up normally.
I found a solution, I just pressed the off button for 30 sec and then a new screen appears where you can chose restart to system or something like that and it works. Hope it helps somebody
Having this issue too, it's like something is pushing down the power button/fingerprint sensor.
Bootloops then anytime eyou touch the sensor it goes straight to the shutdown restart screen or just reboots the phone, Any suggestion before i give in and order a pixel 6
solution to this problem is the power bottom sensor which is shorted..
solution is replaced but for i just disable the power sensor bottom by covering 1 terninal of the volume ribbon.
Hi.
Yesterday I had the same problem, the device kept restarting every 10 seconds, it didn't even come to any screen besides the first one with the POCO logo in yellow.
Things I tried that did NOT work:
restart
hard restart
fastboot (it did enter the fastboot mode, but only showing the picture of the 2 robots and after 10 seconds restarting again to the POCO logo image)
plug it to power
plug it to computer
After 3 hours of continuous restarting and trying anything I could find in the internet and I could imagine of (except extracting the battery because it seemed complicated and difficult to revert), I tried randomly something that miraculously worked...don't ask me why.
pressing the power button shortly and quickly around 30 times (it might have worked after 10 or 20 times, but I just kept doing it a little longer
Afterwards it just started as if nothing had happened...doesn't make any sense, but I just wanted to tell you in case you are in a similar situation and desperate to not lose all the images and videos as I was yesterday.

It works! This is some solution totally unexpected but it works for some unexplainable reason.
I am glad I found this post. Many thanks to @Someone_anyone

my son's phone had the same problem, and this was indeed the solution:
press power button quick and short very fast several times, and suddenly it boots normal.

This is a super amazing finding. Glad you shared it here bro.. it solved the same issue for my Poco X3 GT as well.
Just keep on clicking continuously on the power and bamm it stops the endless reboot looping issue.

Hi,
Thank you for this amazing solution, it worked for me too.
Do you know the reason of the bootloop? Has it happened again since sept? I mean, should I get ready to the death of my phone?...

Today, I changed the system theme (provided by poco). I just wonder if this is not the cause, sometimes themes are not totally compatible...
Was watching youtube videos last night before my phone died, now I can't get it to start boot into the OS. Not sure if this is relevant but my power button had been a little finnicky- rather maybe not the power button itself because it doesn't feel stuck or anything at all but I noticed that it would take an extra second or two after pressing the power button to get into my lock screen. I never really paid attention because it only happened once in a while and I would just restart my phone and be done with it. However I can't even get into the lock screen or anything now.
After my phone died last night I plugged it in right away and came back a while later to turn it on. I tried turning it on but noticed my phone just kept rebooting. It's still repeatedly rebooting and I can only get in the fastboot menu by holding down both volume buttons when rebooting. I get the options power off- which just reboots it after a while, start - which just reboots the phone, restart boot loader- which literally takes me back to the same menu, recovery mode- just reboots and show barcode which shows the barcode at the bottom of the menu.
I've tried downloading the qualcomm driver and trying to get into EDL mode but don't see it on my pc or msmtool, i'm also not even sure if i'm trying to get into EDL mode correctly. I've tried disable Driver signature Enforcement and then redownloading the qualcomm driver but still no luck. I don't know what else I should try. Someone please help me out, i'm pissed this happened just because my phone died, about to have ptsd whenever my phone is at 5% fml.
Also after seeing the 1+ logo and powered by android on the bottom, sometimes I would see like a line of color, which I would assume is text not being rendered all the way, fade out and then the phone shuts down and reboots itself.

Which OOS build are you on? And your device is unlocked or not?
Getting into EDL mode is tricky. Power off device completely. With the device powered off, hold down volume up and volume up at the same time, keep them pressed all the time, and during that time plug into PC (phone all the time powered off). Still hold both of the buttons. By the time you plug into PC, you should be in EDL mode, BUT it only lasts about 10 seconds. I mean you have to click start in this 10 seconds time bracket, other way phone exits EDL itself. After you click start, you can release button, obviously
