I am writing here because I cannot seem to find any information over the internet.
Is there an app in the Gear store that can read txt,doc,pdf and if there is - is there a easy way to transfer the files to the gear?
I searched for a whole day and while I find some applications that claim to be able to do so, also I found app in the tizen store, I am not sure if the tizen store is the same on the gear S3 and if I can preview pdf,txt and doc files on the gear.
This is really important when buying it.

So, I've recently received a Galaxy Gear 2 for my birthday, and I've read up on it. It seems as if the app selection is very, very small. However, I had my eyes set on one particular app: RunKeeper. I got my hopes up after reading an article on RunKeeper's website about its integration with gear. However, after connecting it with my S4, I scoured the gear appstore for RunKeeper, however I could only find Runtastic, which I definitely DO NOT want to switch to. Does anyone know how to download runkeeper to my gear? I do not want to have to run with my phone in my pocket.

Easy, just update the tizen into Android and then install Runkeeper - simple: http://forum.xda-developers.com/gear-2/help/qa-porting-android-to-gear-2-t3018159
EDIT: install the android wear first, then google fit and only after that, runkeeper. Just tested it out.

i just bought my first smartwatch and am pretty excited about it.
Anyway I was searching what apps are available to download for my S2 and saw that Yelp made an app called Yelp for Gear. I was trying to search for this app but nothing popped up in gear store and it seems like for some reason they took it down from the store.
Now I know that you can sideload apps just like the phone so i am wondering if there is a website like apkmirror where they store all the apps (but for our s2) so you can download and sideload them yourself?

In Tizen World most users are scared to backup... so also "sharing" backups.
This is also big difference to Android...

Hi all, I hope im in the right place for this... just bought an S3. Is it possible to download watchfaces found on the Google App store? I have an iphone running the Gear S app which is very limited. If i browse the Google store from my computer there are some great looking watch faces but i have no idea how to get them over to my watch. Do i need to sideload them somehow?

"Facer" and "WatchMaker" lets you create, buy and import numerous third party faces.
Check out some marvelous smartwatch groups on Google communities.
Hi im new on this site and new to development of gear watches and ihave recently bought a gear s3 and I've seen a posts in this site talking about( roms or null)or something like that to help you transfer files or install phone apps on it from google play but i didn't understand what's the first thing to do...and those posts are for samsung gear not the gear s3 is it possible that we can do the same even if the gear s3 doesn't have usb port.?sorry if i didn't make any sense but im new

I have just bought the Samsung gear sport, super nice.
I have noticed that there are very few apps on the official Samsung store. Is there any way to access some "non official" stores for app? any suggestion on where to look?

You know people say there are few apps on the Gear app store but if find it's about the same as Android and Apple.. though Apple Watch is more supported. But there is plenty to find if you dig in past the suggestions screen. There are alot of watchfaces yes, but i suppose lots of choice is not a bad thing. There's a lack of podcast companion apps is the only problem for me.
