Thank OP for this. Hi OP. There many GPU governors included. Which one on those are highly recommended if i want to good graphics with minimal battery useage?
Update: i tried changing gpu goverbor using kernel aduitor but it just crashed, phone restarted and gpu governor stayed at stock.
Can you try to unlock the cpu/gpu freqs? I know the 636 is just an 660 underclocked. It would be awesome if we would atleast be able to clock our gpu higher than the stock 430mhz. It's pretty slow(gpu)
I(for one) don't really care about battery/sot. Everything that's past 6 hours is ok for me, so I would love to be able to clock my gpu a little higher.

I just want to report. Deepsleep is so slow and temperature is quite high. I can feel it warmer than stock kernel. Hope it will be fixed soon. But nevertheless, great to see MIUI kernel.

Useable governor is powersave, simple_ondemand, msm_adreno_tz, the others is just additional for msm_adreno_tz, next version will use whitelist, so people that curious like you can't change unstable/unuseable governor xD

Deepsleep is fine, and temperature is same like stock, i don't change anything in thermal,.
Check your wakelock probably social media apps could cause that.

Switched to another Kernel. Working fine. Waiting for open global MIUI 10 and trying stormguard again. Using stormguard on rn4x since ages )

Sorry, yeah deepsleep is fine. But i only get around 60 to 70%
Btw, camera is fine in my rn5 ai with miui10 global
Anyone who is using can give review of battery and performance of this kernel?
I'm using this kernel on Mido and it's absolutely my favourite choice! Unfortunatly on Whyred I've got problems with brightness cause it's always super bright also if I remove autobrightness or if I take it to lower values. I'm on latest MIUI 10 global fresh clean install.

On latest Temasek ROM (Which I believe is based off 05/01 nightly), flashing either 2.0 or 2.1 and rebooting will show kernel boot screen, then go to a black screen, vibrate once and stay that way.
It's not off as I can't turn it on again by holding the power button, I need to reset with vol-down + home + power in order to be able to boot it again.

You have to be on the latest baseband and bootloader otherwise you will bootloop. I will add this to the OP. Try again once you are on the latest firmware.
Running smooth on the latest xenon ROM will post some stats after first full discharge along with settings thanks for the new toy...

Ahh, that did the trick, I had only updated the modem and not the bootloader, up and running now.

This kernel works flawlessly with LineageOS based roms, it's stated on op, aosip isn't los based afaik so some stuff may be broken.

I know it is lineageOS based, I already knew that, was just asking if maybe u could look, and there is a fix now ROM side for AOSP or CAF based ROMs, https://github.com/VertexOS-Devices/android_device_oppo_common/commit/b430ffc6e8fb5d7c0ed49a000ad84c2d328ebd2e
The LOS kernels have always worked on other custom ROMs with fixes incorporated.

cleared cache and Dalvik after.
no data wipe.
Used AOSP & LOS version, just to be clear.

This is my personal kernel project, which I looked to be a stable kernel for daily usage, with useful features only, and to have a half term under performance and battery life for Xiaomi msm8996 devices. Inspired by projects like Flash Kernel and ElementalX Kernel

4. A: Stop right there. The Kernel doesn't drain any battery, use an app like BetterBatteryStats to figure out what app is screwing with your phone. If verified the clocks are always online and on the max clock, then it'll checked out what's happen. Anyway logs are necessary.

Okay, according to some people, that's happening in all Pie ROMs with FloppyKernel too, so might be a ROM bug when changing the kernel. Nothing to worry, as it returns too after some time.

I was running a pie ROM, I like it but not as good as Oreo because Oreo has more rom features. I flashed EAS I hope I get amazing battery life, fingers crossed!

You should be fine with just flashing the kernel but if you want to keep magisk you will have to reflash that

Hey. My Mi A2 Lite DT2W works fine, but the frequency is constantly 2016 and almost does not fall. The processor is constantly loaded at 30-35%. How to fix it? Or doesn’t it fit my Mi? thanks
