you are in qatar how did you order yours?
I watched this review about the NEX: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o9Bn6-BEZJY
It mentioned this: "The NEX refuses to let you change the default launcher without having a VIVO account, which you need a Chinese telephone number for..."
I was annoyed about this, because I think it's a limitation and I use myself NOVA launcher, and it's one of the first apps I install when setting up a device from scratch. So I contacted the shop in China where I ordered my NEX, and asked if it is true about this VIVO account thing, and also asked them if eventually they could set up an account for me, that I could use once I get my NEX. They answered: "hi, it's not true, the vivo account only for China area, it's no use in other countries." Not only I think it's great I received a reply within 24 hours (they have to sleep also, don't they? ) but I'm reassured about the question I had.
Makes me look forward even more to my NEX...

Easy way to install Gapps?
I suppose it will be easy to install GAPPS, as you can easily get it and flash it once TWRP installed on the NEX...
Just got my Nex today.. The hardware is perfect, but.... the default VivoOS is ****.. i need some custom ROMS.....

I've received confirmation that my is on it's way... Is the "English language" correctly translated? I've seen screens with a lot of chinese characters....

dont want to root the phone. want out of the box way to get simple GAPPS working.
It is easy to install Google, just download from Vivo app store. I think Google framework is preinstalled. If tou want to change laucher you have to go to security section to allow the change of default launcher. Otherwise it will return to Funtouch once you press the hone button.
The third party apps can be unnstalled and yes, there are still Chinese inside some of the items in the setup menu, most of them being hints and tips etc.
When fresh out of the box, my lock screen showed a random picture every time i switched it on. After playing around with some wallpaper settings, I lost that random showing of pictures. I can't figure out what the settings are to get back to the random lockscreen wallpapers. Does anybody have an idea?
You have 2 default lockscreen and you have to switch between them to have back the random feature. Of course you need to have the lockscreen poster option enabled.
Did you setup your wallpaper to appear on the lock screen? Also, check settings to see if you have turned off "lock sreen poster"

It's not there, you have to go in "style of lockscreen". It's the 3rd menu, then you switch to the right one, go out and switch back to the left one and the poster are back.
Oooh.... beautiful wall papers are back! Thank you so much! I would never have found that by myself?

On Huawei there was a "Magazine Wallpaper" setting, could be similar to that
When bringing up the control panel with a swipe from the bottom (left or right) there is a row of apps which are running on the device. You can close them by swiping them upwards one by one off the panel. Is there a way to close them all with one swipe or tap while staying on the control panel?

animated blinking Cat eyes with phone in sleep mode
Credits go to this poster and app http://forum.xda-developEsers.com/showthread.php?p=63813360
I found many hidden menus and testing apps on my unrooted lg v10 with quickshortcutmaker. My favorite one was for the second screen which also can send test notifications.
Those are the prettiest ones by far.
Here are other things that the second screen can do.
this is a side scrolling message
this one the purple water waves with phone
movement
Plus many other various hidden setting and testing items
There are many more but these are the most
Important ones. Lollipop's hidden eggs can
also be directly accessed with quickshortcutmaker.
Etc...
I hope this can help some Devs here.
To see + enable the animated Cat eyes I used QuickSortcutMaker
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...sQBVRDIyoVhMbwwZg&sig2=eoxS0Im6KoCtNESCbndlKA it is free and very simaler to a file manager but it only sees installed .apks and modules.
Open QuickShortcutMaker when installer is finished
Set QuickShortcutMaker to use incremental search
Stay in the Activities view column
Search for SignBoardTest
Expand it
Select the item directly below in it's heirchy
Create a shortcut in QuickShortcutMaker
In the Sub screen that opens tap test or create
Once done Open SignBoardTest
Select Sample Runs/EventListener Test
Being careful not to accidentally tap anything here
Scroll all the way down to the bottom
Below the Show SignBoard Only heading
Tap on Yes, Sir
Tap again to stop
I don't recommend leaving the animated
Cats eyes running for long periods.
Although it does look really kewl. It is brighter than the normally displayed time.
It may cause burn-in marks eventually.
If you are like me, ofc you will have to "test
out" all the other settings there too, lol.
If you do just be sure to either tap Stop, Cancel or
re-tap the setting again to stop it.
Plus remember what you did and where.
Or you might end up with strange notifications
on your phone for weeks. Don't say I didn't
warn you.
Also inside SignBoard Test/Notification Config
The length of time the second screen displays notifications can be adjusted permentally until you change it.
Hint: Most of the hidden test and setting menus I found have the words lge, system, ui, Verizon, VZW, android, egg, hidden, secret or test in their names.
There are lots more...
I'm wondering if "Eva" is going to be LG's Siri
Can't find this...can you post more instructions....how'd you get those eyes up there?
Seems like an ongoing notification... This is what I have while screen on.

I have yet to find everything listed. However the eyes can be turned on using the app mentioned in op, look for "sign board test" then choose "sample runs" next pick "event listener test" scroll down and click "yes sir" = profit the blinking eyes.
Now I'd prefer to have something more custom but haven't figured out how that was accomplished.
Oh and with the eyes enabled you've given up any other function of the second screen. Well at least that's my experience so far as I've just started messing with this. I very well may be wrong. That ish happens all the time with me. At least I'm learning right?
Anyway thanks to the OP for the hint in the right direction.

Try searching with the word "second" maybe it's hiding in there somewhere, on different models of the phone.

Nope. Its to Verizon only. You can theme your app icons to pics of what you want. Or use emoticons in your signature like I did.

Hi there , i have received yesterday my new U11+ and i am very happy.
I notice that there is a notification bug with sounds. When i am trying to set a notification ringtone for a specific app (allo, twitter etc..), it changes the whole notification sound as "default sound" for all apps (except for those apps thats you set the ringtone inside the app, and not with Oreo 8.0 notification system)
Anyone experienced with the same issue ? Thanks
(ps. on mate 10 pro that wasn't happening)
I have the same problem and haven't been able to solve this issue yet.

It's not a U11+ fault.
That application which misbehaves (in the way you described) wasn't re-written to duly support Oreo by its developer..

No, i think its U11's issue, because:
1) There are many apps that misbehave, i would say ALL apps except those that you can set the ringtone notification inside app and it's not leading you outside the app at Oreo's settings for notificatiions
2) i disn't have any problem with my mate 10 pro (same apps, Oreo 8 )

Hi guys
I just a did test and if you change the notification sound via the app itself for Whatsapp and Outlook (ones I tested) the sounds were retained but if I change a system one like messages, all system ones change to that sound.

Yeah it's like that out of the box.
You actually NEED a 3rd party app to get rid of it right now which is really embarrassing for HTC.
Such a pity...

Hi guys just got my vivo nex today and loving it, I found a method a few months ago on my vivo V9 to remove the red ugly banner in the status bar which allows you to keep developer options still running with no issues , so now we can change our animation speeds and what not..
Step one..
Switch on developer options.
Step two..
Navigate to more settings then applications then all.
Step three..
Scroll down to vivo service and select it .
Step four..
Press storage then Clear storage inside vivo service .
The red notification should be gone now and if you go back into developer options it will still be enabled.
The only thing is if you switch your phone off you will have to repeat the process, (my phone never sleeps ? ,
but hey it works, sorry if this is known by the masses but I've had a few people ask so I thought I'd put it up, stay free :silly:

Yea, this worked for me. Thanks for the trick.
thanks this is a very good find... This is better way then having a 3rd party app like autonotification installed. I do not reboot my device that often either so I am willing to live with this...
With apps like tasker etc I am sure you can do this automatically if you use it ?
For me its irritating but not a big problem. But this is still retarded to this from Vivo... The funny thing is... the logo say... the phone will have more stutter but when I change the animation speed to 0.5x the whole device feels twice as fast so its just stupid..
Tested working fine, Thanks
Wonderfully working. Thanks Friend.

Auto notification app is your friend.
No matter how many time restart your phone you'll never see red status bar indicator(i'm using it almost 7 months and do its job excellent)
Keep in mind you have to allow all permission to app(auto start- run background etc)and white list from battery optimization.

For the Chinese model set, I have turned off iMusic online music service under the Built-in Apps Management.
However, each time I launch iMusic, there is still notification prompting to enable the online music service.
I have tried adding iMusic to the list of apps for blocking by AutoNotifcation, however I still get the notification. Anything I missed?
I've completely uninstalled stock music app day one as its garbage compared to Power Amp or Player Pro so I can't tell what's going on

Hello,
thanks for this app, I would like to test it.
I took this one: UUWS1SDGDR4G8JXYWRE6B8T but on Honor 9, stock Android 8.1 this app closes immediately after start.

Ow, so bad to hear that. Can you send the report or something, please?
Thanks for testing!
Of course, but please tell me where I can find the logs

Oh, I think you can see a "Send feedback" button on crash. Otherwise I don't really know how to get the log.
Anyway I just uploaded a new version (available in some minutes) trying to fix some bugs. Try it out.
Thanks!

If you go to the "Developer options" in your phone and press on the "Take bug report" and select "Full report" and press the "Report" button, you will send the bugs to Google Play, I think.
I'm unfortunately facing the same issue of the app crashing upon launch on my Note 9 running 8.1. Feedback has been sent. I wish you the best of luck.

I just updated the application again fixing that bug. Please, wait some minutes and try again. I have some other bugs relating the color preference. I'm working on it.
Thanks!

Just wanted to let you know that everything is now working after that update. Also, the meter itself looks great. Keep up the good work.

Thanks. I'm using it now. Indeed the paid version worths.
There are quite some options to show the battery overlay.
I just suggest that we have a transparent background in the ones which are black.
Also, the version with a yellow bar in the top (+ the black background) that is the "last" option would be perfect if the yellow bar length reflects the battery level too (not just the color).
The vertical bar at left is very good (just if we can control the width as, right now, it's too thin to be seen).
Congratulations!
Although it's said on Google Play that the app will restart after booting, I'm not being able to do so.
Hi,
thumbs up for the App but a transparent background would be great.
Greetings from germany
Testing No free code
Hi,
I want to test this application and I tried some of the codes to unlock the pro version but it says that they are expired? Are all the codes expired now?
Thanks
Some little issues
Hi dear dev, I've sent a mail few days ago with my first impressions but I have no answer. .. I like your app a lot, could I have a promo code? I'm afraid all are expired... I would like it a lot!
well, anyway I can tell you the next:
1)*In KK it is not even possible to get into the app, it makes a fc*
2) IN my J7 2016 with MM,*when rebooting or turning on the device, the battery percentage doesnt appear, it is necessary to get into the app in order it appears again, even if the option "stable mode" is selected
3) I would like not to have a persistent notification (battery dash is running) in my status bar, I have to disable all notifications for this app in order imake this notification dissapear from my status bar
Thanks a lot, keep this way, your app looks awesome in my device*

Have you tried factory resetting the phone at all with it being a dirty install and Major Version jump from Android 12 > 13 rather than an incremental update
Also I'm now on the beta version C10 however I'm missing the Widgets for stuff like Weather, Battery etc
Anyone else missing this?

Same here.
Mine has Chinese letters too.
I thought it was just me. There was one other menu option that showed Chinese characters for me but I can't get back to it when I was trying to submit feedback. Does anyone know if a screen recording is necessary for the feedback to get submitted?
Have you all submitted feedback for the chinese characters? Did you see it anywhere else?
I submitted another feedback. I saw that my previous feedback was no longer in the My Feedbacks section.
Another thing, do you notice how the screen always lights up even when there is no notification? I get it, it's AOD, but I turned off the setting for Screen Always on yet it still is randomly lighting up.
Does anyone know how to turn it off?

I don't have Spotify, but I saw the Chinese characters when I tapped on the Widget for media playback in the Control Center and saw it there. I submitted a feedback for it too.
I've noticed a few minor bugs, but I don't know how to report them. In the feedback menu, when I submit a new log it asks me to restart the phone, and after the restart, the bugs don't happen again.
I have dark theme on from sunset to sunrise, and some days when I wake up, the dark theme remains on SwiftKey keyboard although dark mode is off in the system. But maybe this is a 3rd party app problem.
I also have eye confort active from 21:00 to 07:00 and sometimes when I wake up, and it's past 07:00, although the eye confort is off in the settings menu, yet the screen has that yellow tint.
Also that Wi-Fi calling quick settings tile reappears after a restart, although I have previously removed it.

Does it allow you to share a screen recording of the issue? Weird that I haven't received a notice to restart every time I log feedback.
