Hi Guys,
i have some Problems with Zhiyun Play app. At all Android Devices the Framerates about Camera is limitet to 30 Fps.
Zhiyun says there dont have permission to get it. Exist an option to manipulate the Api 3rd Party Issuses ? Some Cam apps has the same Problem.
I dont understand why the manufacturer block other Cam Apps
What must Zhiyun do to get all Stuff working with Samsung Sony and others
King Regards
I believe the reason is sony is using proprietary drivers for camera and third party apps aren't allowed to use these drivers.
can a custom rom modder fix that problem ?

We need to wait until Sony official announced that the XZ2 will be included into the Sony Open Source Programm.
They are working on that.
But they won't announce it before Qualcomm released the Snapdragon 845 drivers as open source next month.

Is there any good application that is an alternative app functioning as the photosphere feature? only saw the app photosynth by microsoft for wp8 and ios, not for android, well, generally my question is:
If there's a app, where can i find it?
If no, do i have to root my device?
If i have to root my device for getting the feature, is wiping the phone essential?
If there's a need or risk to wipe to phone, is there any backup tools that is available?
(that backups everything, apps, data, text messages for viber, everything)
Once i rooted my phone, what should i do next?
need some support here thanks alot

try 360 panorama
This app is the closest to photosphere by google. Only working ap I found that takes a complete sphere. Play store has it. No root required. As for backup purposes, titanium backup is awesome

It doesn't show up in playstore for men, nor the google camera app :/
EDIT: Found out why, the app requires a gyro sensor, and HTC Desire 500 doesn't have one.
Google it

I've got it working without the gyro sensor on my phone. If you don't find it in play store, google for an apk!
I'm re-listing all the apps that support immersive panorama of full sphere
1. 360 panorama - this works with android 2.3 and above. Needs a good processor, at least 1ghz dual core, or it will be laggy as hell. No gyro needed.
2. Crystal pic sphere - Works with jelly bean and above. Does not really need a gyro sensor. U need to manually click the pics
3. Focal - Works with android 4.2 and above, Needs a gyro
4. Google camera- Works with android 4.4. Needs a gyro
5. Camera + Gallery apk stripped from nexus , available on google search. works with jelly bean. Needs gyro.

Hello,
I was an owner of a Xiaomi Mi4c but I switched to a brand new Samsung Galaxy S7 a few weeks ago, the only thing I miss on my Galaxy S7 is a good camera application with a nice shutter sound; I loved the shutter and manual focus sound of my Xiaomi phone.
To give you an idea about these sounds, here's a quick video about it:
https://youtu.be/1LNuJe22beE?t=1m25s
So I was wondering if there's a possibility to use the Xiaomi camera application on any Android device without root??? If yes, where can we download it?
Or at least, is there an app that is similar to the Xiaomi camera app? I hope somebody can help me, karma guaranteed:good::good::good:
Nobody?????

Unfortunately it doesn't work, when I open the app it says: "Unfortunately, Camera has stopped."
Is there any new developments concerning this topic? I'm still wondering if there's an app (apk) we can use Xiaomi camera app on any Android device without root? Or at least a similar app...?
did you find an answer ?
Issues on Stock 8.1 June update.
1. Sysconfig Patcher cannot enter Google Play Services on doze mode. It also occurs on other magisk module "Enable Doze for GMS Magisk Module".
2. Video recording does not work on Stock, Google and Snapdragon Camera on some users. You need to install third-party camera app named "Footeaj" to record videos.
3. Google Play Store certification is marked as "Uncertified" to some users.
Issues 1, 2 and 3 does not occur on stock 8.0.
Even if they are bugs, then why post on XDA, their is a official bug reporting section in MIUI forum. What do you expect from posting it here? Xiaomi isn't going to see it, and forget about the fix.
Bug 2 is not true(?) Working fine, device is certified as well, don't know and don't care about the first bug
My video recording does not work as well.
Everything works no bug in my device

Everything works fine with me . I am in 8.1 update. Security patch june 5. The only bug i encountered is the delete of my sms.
What's the audio like on the Video recordings with this release? Is it still garbage - like underwater goobledegook?

To let other users know. (Being helpful)
Verify if its affecting all or some users. ( we get better understanding of bugs and one of the fellow superuser might find a workaround.)
What do you think now? Posting here helpful or not.( Helpful not to an individual but to the community)

Every single app I've tried gives the generic "app not installed" error, even though I meet ALL the requirements. This phone is perfectly capable of running the Google Camera app, so why is it that none of the ports work? This is a fairly popular mid-range phone so I don't understand why nobody has ported it to this phone yet.

any solution for this yet? same app not installed error with every apk i could find. bought this phone for my kids, think they would have a little more fun if can get playground to work!!
I've scoured through the deepest depths of the internet but still, I've been unable to find a working google camera port for this android version.
It's strange because:
1. This phone is running Android 10
2. It has level 3 support for the camera2 api(level 3 means FULLY supported)
3. It's running a snapdragon 450, which is also on the samsung a20s, which for some reason DOES have a google camera port

Bump because I hate the default camera app that is bundled with this phone
In the Google Play Store, couldn't you find the Google Camera app that automatically matches your Galaxy A11?

Of course not, the entire reason I'm having this issue is because the google camera app is only officially supported on pixel phones, but people have ported it to pretty much every other phone in existance or than seemingly my phone.
It does not work because samsung put a 32-bit (armhf/armv7l) version of android on the devices. The CPU is 64 bit but it is running a 32 bit OS. The explanation from samsung is that they did is because their low end devices have very little ram. Also the kernel uses the ondemand cpu governer, it is ****. Android 12 is said to run only on arm64 devices, so maybe when we get android 12 in a few months it will finally work.
Hello everyone,
I know it has been mentioned in device-specific posts, but I wanted to address this from a wider perspective.
I own a Redmi K40 Gaming phone, for which there are no global ROMs available yet (Hopefully there will be with the Poco re-branding), which comes with MIUI 12.5 out of the box. As you would know, it doesn't support GMS, sames as with other models like Redmi K30 Ultra, Redmi 10X and basically any other MTK high end devices (As announced by Xiaomi).
Personally, I'm OK with surviving without Google. Providing that: 1) I can get the apps I need 2) said apps work "normally".
For point 1) we can always get apps from other sources: Aptoide, APKpure, FDroid, or even here in XDA! You may not find all, and some may depend on GMS themselves, but it is possible.
The problem I have encountered is with #2. Some of said apps doesn't work the same when installed from third-party repositories. And that is what gives me more troubles
One problem is that when I install an app from any other source, the notifications never work properly. I have Facebook open, all permissions are given, I get a notification in another device but it doesnt come here. Same happens with Whatsapp.
Another issue is that some apps, despite installing properly, just don't work. I have tried a few games (Marvel Strike Force, Injustice 2, Real Racer 3) all of them give one or another problem
So, the idea of this thread (If you help me please), is for users without GMS to share what workarounds they have used to survive the Google vs Chinese phones war.
For example, where do you get the apps? What apps sustitutions you have enjoyed? What things you had to do to get the apps to work properly? and so on...
Thanks all for your help!
Cheers

Thanks @jwoegerbauer I had heard about this project, but never really digged into it.
Question about this "signature spoofing". Does it work with MIUI?
There are still no custom roms for mine, so I can't move to one of the recommended ones.
regards
no solution
So far I've been installing most, if not all, apps through Aurora store. Almost all work properly, but MIUI (Especially in its Chinese version) is a [email protected]#$#@$ with notifications and killing apps in the background.
I think the hardest part is the crazy amount of apps that depend directly of GMS...
Anyone has found a way to increase vibration strenght in MIUI 12.5?
Just wanted to announce that From update 12.5.5.0RKJCNXM. GMS has been able to work. So you can use Google apps!
