Upcoming phones without round corners or notches - General Topics

Hello everyone.
I've been trying to find a new phone but not really a big fan of round corners or notches.. Since that now is the new trend I've been struggling to find a phone that suits my preferences.
What do you think? Will the future bring yhe good old classic phones with sharp corners?or should I just give up and adopt the rounded corners? With a budget of 300 pounds or less, what would be the best option for you guys?
Any suggestion or advice would be much appreciated.
Thank you

Have a Note and a Nexus. Want to keep one. Which one?

Hello, how are you?
So, after owning my galaxy Note since April, I've got fed up with toichwiz and flashed CM10 preview. I really like the aosp feel of android.
After living with my note for some time, I really like the screen, the colour and the size.
What I have come to dislike is the general size of the device. At times, when put of the house or the office I wish for a smaller, more practical device to handle with one hand and to take pictures with. The note is just a bit clumsy at times.
So, a couple of days ago a sweet deal came IP and I picked a galaxy nexus.
I now have both devices. My goal was to test them for a few days and then sell the one I liked less...
The thing is I cannot make up my mind.
The nexus is really smooth, excellent os performance and great handling. Mich more practical. The thing is it does not have the note screen. I thing I kind of got hooked on the note screen and am finding hard to let go.
So, in your opinion, which phone should I keep and why?
Hope you can help me to make a decision.
Cheers

New Purchase :: Nexus 7 or TF700

Hi Everyone,
It's been a while since I've been on XDA so for give me if this is in the wrong place. As It covers both devices and is not related to development activities as such I thought this would be the correct location.
Anyway I have had my eye on the TF700 for quite a while then the nexus 7 was released though I am still leaning in the direction of the TF700 but I want to get other peoples opinions on the matter, especially from anyone who has had a chance to use both. So please if anyone has experiance with two device I would really like to hear your comments, and or suggestions.
Also does anyone in the UK now what shops are demoing these devices, i will be checking out my local carphone warehouse this weekend to see if they have the nexus 7 as I don't think anywhere has the TF700 in the UK yet.
Anyone got insider info on what shops maybe stocking the TF700?
Thanks for your time and will see you on the forums.
Cheers
Hey there, I think you may want to put this in Q and A but I think a mod will be about to do it anyway. And there are many threads dedicated to x or y type question.
Welcome back to XDA if you haven't had a welcome back yet.
Anyway, I would say get the nexus 7. Support and updates for that would be through the roof. It is also great value for money.
Sorry If that isn't what you wanted. Hope you enjoy your purchase anyway.

Thanks will ask the question in the thread mentioned above; If a Mod wants to kill this one that be fine by me.
Get the nexus 7
nexus 7!!! obviously
Well answer the question yourself by answering these questions.
Do you want a bigger screen or better portability?
Do you want something with a large memory capacity without anything hanging off it? Or cloud if you have good bandwidth?
Do you want more power for future games ie 1-2 years from now?
What ports do you need?
Do you want frequent updates, and lots of development?
Do you want to spend the extra cash?
Both are good devices, but you're comparing apples with oranges, so pick a fruit

Get Oneplus Two - decent device, big leap from Oneplus One imo and you can grab used one at a good price right now (even new one is still bargain).

Which budget flagship killer should I buy?

I live in the US, and I use MetroPCS. Looking to get one of these new flagship killers everyone is discussing. My budget is around $300. I've tried the Mi A2, looked into Poco and Honor play all though I'm not sure of their compatibility with my provider. Any thoughts? I like to have a good camera, processor, and ram.

Lots of mention of some very out dated phones in that thread.
I got the Blu vivo Xi +. $300 dollars at best buy. Wireless charging. Facial recognition. Finger print scanner. Nice 6.2 inch screen. Android 8.0. Expandable memory. The only draw back is no NFC or 3.5 mm headphone jack. I'm pissed that new phones like samsung note 9 and iPhone want to charge $1000 and over. I won't be doing that anymore.

Best Budget phones 6" screen or bigger....

Really looking to get a new phone pronto!!! The ones I am considering are:
mi max 2
mi A2
oldriver S10MAX
maze alpha x
ZenFone 5
Vivo V9 4GB 64GB 6.3"
UMIDIGI Z2 Special Edition 6.2" x
Lenovo Z5 Smartphone
The old river s10max really sticks out to me but I really can't find much on it. I would love to hear any and all feedback from everyone about any and all the phones. XDA is my goto for anything android! By the way I use pre-paid ATT and I live in St. Louis Missouri. Thanks in advance!
Outside of the Asus, I'm not sure I would want to risk going with any other ones there. Support, OS updates and general quality are my main concerns with those. Hell, even BLU is better I think. If you want low budget devices, BLU, located in Miami, has these white label devices that run fine. Great prices on Amazon, fast shipping and good return policy. Either that, or Sams Club/Costco. There's usually 2 unlocked devices there are an affordable price. Usually Samsung branded. Much better support and return policy.
My 2 cents.
