Im in the exact same boat as you! Waiting for bootloader unlock and stuck at work for 7 more hours :fingers-crossed:
I think we should be able to flash this with the miflash tool. Or does that require an unlocked bootloader as well?

Just tried to apply the update within the updater on a locked bootloader, not working.
I am scared to flash it by the flash tool as I don't want to brick my phone...
[EDIT] Also tried with the XiaoMiTool without success. Phone reboots normal when checking for recovery info (doens't enter recovery mode). Tried mutiple times but I guess it's just not working..
If anyone has a guide to update from Global 9.5.19.0 to this beta here with locked bootloader, please share it.
Shouldnt Fastboot Flash work with the MiFlash Tool, did that on a previous phone with locked bootloader, as i could not unlock it due the the unlock tool beeing faulty.

Try the guide here.
Driver signature enforcement MUST BE DISABLED.
I will be trying this after work. Tempted to try it on my work machine but not gonna disable it on my work machine LOL.
I've flashed it with Mitool. The ROM runs really smooth. My Bootloader is Unlocked.
Can anyone check if there's a possibility to add a card in Google Pay? And the rom if multilingual?

Ok, could go further with the process but it's ending at the step for checking what the best way to install the zip is with the message that you shouldn't flash it as it needs an unlocked bootloader. Well, I will be able to unlock next thursday, so I keep waiting

You probably won't be able to, even if your bootloader is locked. Beta ROMs don't pass safety net.

I'm sure there will be a method to root it on dev editions.
Like, maybe odin flash a tar without the bootloader and recovery, then before booting into system, immediately boot into TWRP, flash SuperSU, reboot to bootloader, odin flash a tar with just the bootloader and recovery, boot to system, re-unlock bootloader.
Shrug. Someone will figure it out.

Aboot is the part of the bl that tells unlocked/locked. We may just be able to only flash sboot (secondary bl) from MM and it would work. I don't have a dev edition so I have no idea.
Also, for us on unlocked bl, they may have updated the EMMC firmware, so we SHOULD NOT try to unlock on MM.

Hi Phuong
EU rom is developer Rom, has removed some Chinese application and add google apps.
Hi @vuhien. Thanks
But I want to know the source except miui.vn. The meaning the officially source, because I just have one link, that is Miui.vn only.

Is your bootloader unlocked?
Did you sign into your Mi account on the phone?
Do you have Developer options turned on?
Yes to all three. I have got around the major problem of language by going all Google & Nova.
It started by my effort to tweek the system launcher to accept more rows & columns. This led to a home page instability, that finally forced me to flash a few of the key partitions by fastboot and then get an early rom version. I must have picked a ch-only.....

My suggestion is to try both and see which one works for you since ROM experience can be different and we all have different expectations.
you don't have to have an unlocked bootloader to do this, right? I am on the Stable version and would like to install this...and I am looking at the instructions on the MIUI forums, and it says nothing about "unlocked bootloader' as a requirement...just wanna make sure that is right, before I flash.
thanks!

Nope, definitely locked. If you go into dev options on the dev ROM it will tell you if your locked or not....

Hope we dont get penalized for being early adopters (maybe like htc cid change?) Hardware should be the same right?
Stupid and probably unlikely to work but can we restore the UK backup? The hisuite has rom flashing in it natively also.... There's also an option internally to flash/upgrade

This is one response I got the other day. FYI this is my first Huawei device so I'm learning a ton as I'm trying to figure out other things so sorry if I'm a tad off on anything. The project menu has USB options too...

This unit is a beta prototype for testing/developer and hence it is not locked. The actual commercial set will be locked.
This option is possibly shown due to prototype while I was exploring the phone. My apologies and hope that clarify

The GPS issue already fixed at version 10.0.4
However new version always good :good:
The sad side is I still stay at China ROM and wait 10.0.10 push

I forgot to mention that now in 11.0.10.0 the delay after taking 108MP is gone. You can directly tap the thumbnail on bottom left and check the picture in gallery even after taking 108MP.

Sorry I don't know why mi pull down the last firmware.
However you can use the 10.0.10 OTA zip file from otonieru:
https://bigota.d.miui.com/V11.0.10....AGlobal_V11.0.10.0.PFDEUXM_b7a8e9a640_9.0.zip
And refer this document to update:
http://c.mi.com/oc/miuidownload/detail?guide=1
PS: I think this method is only work on non-China Mi Note 10.
If you are use China version cc9pro you can't select OTA file to update.
Maybe you can use fastboot way update to 10.0.5 (backup first)
(and must unlock first)
then use local-update way update to 10.0.10
