TWRP version issue : can't install cyanogenmod

Hello,
I have a perfectly working moto G 4g with cyanogenmod, and did the install very easily the first time. I am stoked with it so when my mother asked me for a new phone I got another MotoG 4G, and went directly to install TWRP and cyanogenmod... BUT :
- when I want to flash Cyanogenmod build zip, TWRP tells me the version is not supported by this cyanogen build.... apparently it wants version 0x411A and nothing else. The only version available on TWRP website is the newest 0.3.2.0 ....
- I have tryed another twrp version found online (a 2.7.8 not official) and it fails again to install Cyanogenmod, saying the TWRP version is not correct.
Where can I get the correct 0x411A version of TWRP ? Or is the message actualy is about something else ?
Best regards and thanks in advance for your help.
I was confusing Bootloader version and TWRP version. I used a tool found on XDA that has updated my bootloader.
Then i was able to install cyanogenmod but was stuck on the logo for the first boot.
Updated TWRP to the latest one and trying again, flashed darvin cache, and i am flashing nightly cyanogen+gapps.
I hope it'll work this time

Error 7 while installing cyanogen mod 13 nightly with twrp recovery

Hi,
So I am using at the moment a OnePlus One and have just recently flashed twrp-3.0.1-0-bacon.img as a custom recovery. Also I have just rooted the phone using SuperSU.
I tried installing the latest nightly of cm 13 for the OnePlus one and the corresponding GApps, however when I install it it either says "file corrupted" or "error downloading cm 13 error 7".
I have already searched for a solution and tried deleting asserts. That didn't work...
Can someone help me solve this problem?
**I downloaded everything from the original sites

If you both read this thread thoroughly, you would both see that just a few posts up, a member solved this issue by updating their version of TWRP to a newer version. All you had to do was read before you posted.
Flash the newest version of TWRP for your device.

Thank you for that most helpful and enlightened answer. I would not be asking the question if I'd found the answer during an hour of searching. I have the most recent version of TWRP (3.2.3-0) freshly installed from the official website and I have this problem and I am unable to solve it regardless of how many times I reinstall the newest version, thanks.
Can anyone else provide some useful insight?
Device LeEco Pro 3 (zl1), Lineage-OS 16.0.
Thanks!

Apparently the 3.2.3-0 downloaded from the official website is NOT the most recent version. I downloaded the sources from the repo and built a version of TWRP for LeEco zl1 on my laptop. That version also identifies as 3.2.3-0, but it apparently is a bit more, because when I push it to my phone and install it, the error is GONE.
This is not the first time that building my own version of TWRP locally has fixed a problem.
Even with Newest version of TWRP i STiLL GET THE SAME ERROR

I'm on the newest TWRP and getting the same error. Why are there so many smartasses on XDA?

If you'll pardon the humor...
If you consider the universal balance theory, probably to counterbalance the number of dumbasses on XDA.
On a serious note, you may be having the same issue but yours has a different cause.

The following helped me out:
If you're upgrading from Oreo to Pie, the stock ROM (at least on OnePlus) has a file called "compatibility.zip" inside the zip of the stock ROM
If you have a mac or linux: Just do
Code:
zip -d [path to your stock ROM] "compatibility.zip"
for example
Code:
zip -d OnePlus5Oxygen_23_OTA_053_all_xx "compatibility.zip"
(don't forget the quotes)
If you have Windows, simply use MiExplorer to delete the file from the archive. Don't try unpacking/repacking the zip with native windows/mac.
Once you're done, boot into recovery, flash or sideload the stock ROM and the error should be resolved.

Help, Getting Error 7 (KinstallDeviceOpenError) when trying to flash OOS 10 OTA

This is the file I'm trying to flash:
OnePlus6Oxygen_22_OTA_041_all_1911142043_dde113e53cd0f9.zip
Via TWRP BluSpark
But I'm getting error 7 - KinstallDeviceOpenError
How can I fix it?? (I know how to sideload)
Thanks!
Probably you are not running the latest OxygenOS update. I had the same problem and I fixed it by downloading 9.0.9 and then 10.0
I didn't check if you rom was a full or incremental rom , but it needs to be full rom to be flashed via twrp and not incremental
Looks like you're using an outdated TWRP, one that's not yet compatible with Android 10. Get the latest one from here
