Has anyone got YouTube Vanced working on Magisk? - OnePlus 6 Questions & Answers

I'm running 5.1.6 w official TWRP and Magisk 16.4, trying to get youtube vanced to work on youtube 13.54.18 but it doesn't work after installing.. Anyone who got it working?

No issues for me, works perfectly.
Same config as yours.
Try install YouTube Vanced from xda labs app instead installing it from magisk.
Regards ysco..

Will try if the above doesn't work!
Thanks!

Still no bueno, in settings I can't find the option to change to dark theme either, has that been removed? I'll try XDA labs now

Using whit magisk, no problem.

No problem here

Is magisk supposed to install a youtube vanced app? Magisk seems to fail when trying to add apps because a debloater i tried also didn't install the app..
edit: non-root version works fine! I'll be using that for now..

Make sure you uninstall the updates in Play Store as they replace the system apk.

full version with root and non-rooted https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/app-youtube-vanced-edition-t3758757

Have you tried uninstalling the YouTube app and rebooting your phone and then installing Vanced?

Working snapchat....

So what's the deal with Snapchat. I know they stop allowing root users to use their app but I was relying on this form to at least have a workaround any good news?

It's only if you have xposed installed before you actually log into snapchat. If you log in before you install xposed then it'll spaz you out

Correct. Uninstall Xposed, login to snapchat, make a data backup in TiBU just in case, reflash xposed and you should be all good.

Yes my phone is rooted and have Magisk but it doesn't have module for facebook videos download. Do you have any idea how to download FB videos without using third party app.

EdXposed for Android 10?

What the title says... Has anyone tinkered to see if the riru/edxposed setup is working with the new android 10 stable? I miss a couple of modules. If there's a thread already answering this I couldn't find it and their github shows no updates, but that doesn't necessarily mean it won't work, I suppose.
Alternatively, any suggestions of magisk modules (or otherwise) that can remove album art off the lock screen and/or allow 4 way auto rotate would be forthcoming. Thanks.
Update: Found in pull requests it's being worked on and seems to be working for many. https://github.com/ElderDrivers/EdXposed/pull/354
Update 2: Using Riru-core, the sandhook edxposed from where I linked and the common edxposed installer working for me. OnePlus 7 Pro T-Mo to International converted android 10.

Strange, the usual edxposed manager apk won't install for me. It just says app not installed. Have you a link to the one you used? Thanks

Using the 2.2.4 version
That worked, fair play. Had to uninstall it again though. Too much glitching and chrome was also forcing closed. Will wait for a more stable version. Thanks

Odd, I'm not experiencing any of that.
I’d say it’s something on my side. I was having issues installing the manager also.

For me it was the OPAodMod apk that was the issue. Works perfectly without that apk.

I have tested many different combinations while developing my module (GravityBox) on OP7pro and came to a conclusion that the YAHFA version from this post is giving me the best experience: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=80392829&postcount=30
After I flash the Edxposed zip my phone would not boot up. The white dots just keep going around and around endlessly. Yahfa or Sandhook does not matter.

steps for viper and ddp with acp and aml?
My steps, for always getting this to work was :
Just install the apk from xda labs 2.7.1.6 ( prefer this) open app, asks for root (Grant) app creates magisk module and reboots. I then use the latest AML module from magisk repo, last reboot and good to go.
Dolby and Viper work.
Hope this helps you.

Yes, uninstalling Magisk will result in your device going in no-root stage. Uninstalling Xposed doen't affect device's root-stage.
