I have problem. I try k9 mail klient and blue mail client. I try to set that they check every 10 min new e-mail updates from imap email server. Seems to be that it is not working.
Now i instal outlook but same problem in Oneplus 6. Is there any good solutions?
AquaMail is best IMHO. But I use push, dont know about your Problem.
I'm using this app for a few years: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.trtf.blue
Also tried other but came back, it's user friendly with multiple email addresses.
Aquamail for me.

I recently downloaded Nine but is there a feature to support priority notifications like the one in gmail? I don't want to get notifications for every single emails e.g. promotions , social etc.
Yes. Just add your priority email - by domain or specific email id - under VIP. Then set Notification specifically for the Vip and you are set.

Aquamail is great, I use it for years.
I always try new mail clients but I always ends up with aquamail.
Regards ysco..
I'm using K-9 Mail App for years now, and I'm still in love. I'm very sure, the issues you have are provider-wise, not caused by K-9 itself. I doubt, that any other Email client will do any better here. Be sure to enable third party programs in your email provider's settings and check the correct IMAP adress again.
Aquamail is the best by far. It's been almost 5 years since I'm using it.
don't think and use email by edison software. feature rich and sleek UI.
Blue mail works perfectly for me bon my OnePlus 6. I use it since it works flawlessly with exchange as well as imap. Issuing it for years with no issues
aquamail been using it for years
I use Boxer myself, very solid app
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.boxer.email
AquaMail is the best I've tried every single other mail app and nothing is better than AquaMail. Bluemail is also good.
My favorite mail app so far is "AquaMail".
The only thing is that it does not have black theme with white text and white icons.
I'm also one for aquamail.
I use K-9 Mail, I like it.
For Aquamail, I had a look and essential features are need require the paid version... $7 is a little too much for just testing, K-9 Mail is free.

Hi, if I send a mail with the iPhone comes a tone. Is that possible with an android?
Holy crap that font is GIANT. Was that necessary or just an iphone thing? Anyway, what? If you send an email on your iphone it makes noise? What?
it comes a sound!
When you send an email on the iPhone, and the send is complete/successful, you get a "whoosh" sound.
No it's not possible on the Android.
Why ist that not possible?

I find this kind of silly since I know I am sending an e-mail, why do I need a sound to tell me something I already know

It's not silly. The Mail.app on the Mac does the same thing.
What the sound does is tell you that the email has successfully left your outbox. Kind of handy to have an audible confirmation of that if you've switched out of the mail app and are doing something else.
Many times on my Androids I've had emails stuck in the outbox with no knowledge of it until I wondered why no reply and had to go to the outbox within the app.
I don't miss it on my droids, but I didn't mind it on my iPhones.
Some may not like the feature, some may love it, but I wouldn't call it silly.

yes, but it is not really necessary
if you are using PUSH email as most of us should probably be doing (i know i am) then as soon as you sent the email
you just need to check on your AllMail folder
if it's there, then it sent out properly
if it's not there, then it did not go out
yahoo mail, works very similar too, using the yahoo mail app
even apps like K9 have access to sync via SMTP
the only problematic email are people stuck on Hotmail and Exchange Servers, those are well... kind of on their own, until a better email app comes around to support microsoft stuff

Is the stock gmail app a push email client? o.o

I get the stuck outgoing emails and the ONLY email app I use is the stock version of gmail.apk, which only talks to google.
Background syncing on, data connection always enabled, etc.
I'm not arguing it's necessary, but like everything else, it would be a nice "option" to have.
Sometimes the only way to clear it is to go to settings and clear data.
I've had the same issue of emails getting stuck in both the gmail client and the email client.
It's irrelevant of the type of email account, as the emails appear to get stuck when there is a lapse of connectivity.
I want to report something that I'm not sure is a bug. I guess I just need some advice
When using the AOSP-based Corporate email app, I'm getting unintentionally highlighted text in my messages
Example:
If I open my email app and search for "hello", I see all emails that contain the word "hello". Also, the text within the email "hello" is highlighted in yellow.
If I reply or forward that message, the highlighted text persists which can be seen by all recipients.
I can duplicate it on my friend's stock Galaxy Nexus and on my Galaxy S3. It happens with all AOSP based email apps (4.0+).
The really strange thing is that I can't find anyone online who is reporting the same thing. Any advice is appreciated.
Thanks
No idea but I find AquaMail to be a awesome email client, maybe switch if it meets your requirements?

It doesn't work for me. I need full Exchange 2010 integration and AquaMail only operates with IMAP / POP enabled. I'm wondering if it is just my Exchange server. I find it hard to believe that no one else has reported this. I'm wondering if maybe this was a "feature" added by Google and I'm just not seeing the value haha
Thanks for your reply
I'm pretty new to android phones and moved from a softbank iPhone 4 to a J Butterfly on AU. It's awesome, as is the Aurora 1.02 rom I'm running on it (thanks IS03!) but there's one thing that really bugs me.... The AU email app is so basic it's not true! To give you an idea....
Notifications don't include any information other than an email has arrived
Clicking on the notification re-opens the app, not the email in question
So you then have to click on your inbox and the mail to see what's going on
Replying takes way more steps than it should (tap reply, tap body, type, click done, click send)
I've tried using the gmail and outlook apps and they're not bad at all as email apps, but lacking for chatting. I've tried some SMS apps that feature iPhone esque themes and they look good, but unfortunately SMS is basically unused in Japan - people can't reply to me. So after all that background, finally my question:
Is there simple, streamlined email client that works great for chatting?
Thanks for any and all advice!

Didn't seem like there's anything like that on au's end, I'd have found it by now as I share your frustrations.
Many people I know are using Line, though. I haven't really used the standard email app in quite a while.

Thanks for the reply. A few of my Japanese friends are using Line, I guess it's time to get on board!
Hi, hope its OK for a soon-to-be user (decided on SW2 over Pebble) to ask a few basic questions about email questions. First, I use a GS3 rooted with a 4.1.2 ROM (BoneStock). I understand that the email notifications using the stock app on SW2 only gets notifications from Sony phones, so I am guessing I will need to use a different notification app to get email notifications other than GMail. I use the stock email app to get my Comcast emails (POP3) on my phone... is there a recommended notification app that works (or works best) with stock email apps?
I also see that there is a K9 email app for the SW2... I can switch to K9 on my phone if it works better with notifications on my SW2. Have others started using K9 on their phones for that reason, and are there added benefits doing so?
Seeing text message notifications (with the added ability to send canned replies easily) will be my primary use case for the SW2, then seeing email notifications, so before I get the watch I wanted to make sure I was able to satisfy both use cases. Thanks in advance!
Hi,
Try researching Augmented for smartwatches. It is more than capable to extract and display notifications from whatever application you want, be it gmail or k9 (it is equipped by design for these two and a few others) or any other you might choose to use.

Dear team,
This is regarding the email app in the Xperia Z3 duos phone.
Suppose, i am getting an email from someone with multiple people in "CC" and "To".
If i do a "reply all" or "reply only to the sender", in my reply, all the other addresses other than the sender's name gets cut off from the email to which i am replying.. This behavior seriously deforms the email chain and make us lose track of who all where there in the earlier email. This is especially bad when using for corporate official emails.
If i use my Samsung email app, the addresses will not get cut off. I have attached screen shots of the original email with replies done using Xperia and samsung email app.
Appreciate if you can help resolve this.
Thanks you.

Personally? I uninstalled the built-in email program and installed k-9 through f-droid. I don't use my email heavily but k-9 works well enough for a phone.
In your example, you're using the same email address multiple times. I think when you do the "reply all," the app recognizes it is the same address and removes the duplicates. You would find this same behavior if you were using Outlook, which resolves all the addresses right before dispatch, and only sends the email to the recipient once.
If you have, say, four or five unique email addresses in the CC and select "reply all," does the app still remove some of them? I assume yes and that is what prompted this forum thread, but I'll ask just to be sure.
just disable the sony email app and install Gmail from google play. :highfive:
Hi, unfortunately, my company email does not allow access to K9

Hi, thanks for the suggestion. I tried K9, but unfortunately, my company email is not working with K9, i think they are not allowing access to any 3rd party emails. It is being managed using the Airwatch

Hi, yes.. if i use different email addresses also, it will still remove all of them. And as you can see from the screen shot, when i used the Samsung email client, it did not remove any of the email addresses, even though it was the same. So the problem is with the Sony email client it seems.
