I initially bricked my phone when I took an OTA update by accident while the phone was rooted. When I got the new phone I decided to let it update first and then try to root it but now the Gingerbreak/ZergRush method doesn't seem to work. It never reports that it failed but doesn't say success either, just the "Blue Hellions" thing. The script fails at the "adb remount" saying that the operation isn't permitted.
I've tried a few other methods but have had zero luck with them but most of them used ZR so I didn't expect a lot.
Since they don't seem to have a recovery image for this phone, there's not a lot I can do.
I'll take any ideas and upload logcat, etc.to help out (if I can...it seems to be about 100k which was double the allowed size for the last forum I asked this on)
Any and all help appreciated.

I just got my phone from Ting a couple weeks ago and rooted it yesterday.
Unfortunately I can't directly post Outside links (Not at 10 posts yet, and have no idea what else to post about other than this at the moment, which requires a link (For Credit Due Purposes) and I know it will be helpful to people that were as desperate as me for something that was starting to seem rather impossible and no one was paying that much attention to it.), but this is important enough that I'll try to just chop it up - You'll just have to put it back together to go to that site.
This works:
androidforums
.com/milano-all-things
-root/709963-no
-pc-root-method
.html
Not sure why the guide says "Enable usb debugging in Settings, Applications, Development" since you never use the PC, I enabled it anyway, and also enabled to install third party apps, or else Poot won't install, not sure why that isn't on the guide. (Maybe they got mixed up?)
A few things you might want to know:
After hours I finally found the solution. But the terminal still doesn't work for uninstalling ("pm uninstall com.google.android.books.apk" = Failure), you have to do everything though your phone (I'm using the app "RootAppDelete"). The phone roots itself with a third party app called "Poot" using libraries from "Ministro 2"
Before doing this you're gonna need something like 25MBs of storage or so (Can delete everything afterwards with the exception of SuperUser (Can't delete that) to get the space back (Also, you need a app to actually use root actions). - The "Ministro 2" packages are huge for this phone's tiny internal storage! 11MB around)
Make sure to install anything small first and anything big right before the phone gets over 15MB full, because at that time you can't install anything else, with low memory errors.
Another thing that might have helped me when I did this is - back when I couldn't root I made all apps default install to the phone with the android sdk platform-tools (I didn't want to risk anything so I moved Poot, Ministro 2 and SuperUser back to the phone before running Poot. since they default installed to the SD)
"adb shell"
"pm SetInstallLocation 2"
Know its been said elsewhere, but this works with the Milano. Wanted to say that in case you needed the space to use Poot.
And the last problem is after I did all this, now my headphone jack wants to think it has headphones plugged in all the time, If I move the phone around it starts playing on the phone's speaker. It seems like something is lose. Not sure if that was caused by the root (since it wasn't doing it before, and I've never used the headphone jack before) or because there was lose hardware, not sure. Still working on a solution to that, which I found
something similar here, almost looks like a common problem: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=817872
I would put my proof of doing this have a screen shot of root checker, but alas its an outside link. Understand though.
And as I've read a million times before this, here's a disclaimer: I'm not responsible and use at your own risk.
Need some help, otherwise I'll end up costing myself about $150 for something I'll end up breaking into pieces.
My mother needed Google Play Store and Services installed. So naturally what I did was root the phone with KingRoot APK, worked fine.
Install TWRP via fastboot ---> Non-unlocked bootloader --> Nothing under fastboot devices ---> fastboot oem unlock didn't work either.
So I downloaded the APK for this "EZUnlocker" c**p. Bricked the phone, hard-bricked, doesn't vibrate or turn on, nothing. Doesn't even charge, show LED's or ANYTHING.
I've looked almost EVERYWHERE now and wasted almost 1GB of my Internet cap on this dumb phone that hasn't even been paid for. It was bought in China. So that was the entire problem all along, seeing as Google Play Store is completely blocked and there's no way to install apps other than leaving Unknown Sources enabled and then downloading + installing from APKMirror.
If anyone can provide any help whatsoever, even if just to confirm it's broken and I must now waste my money on something I'll end up destroying , please leave a reply.
Thanks and hopefully I can fix this thing.

I hate to bother, and I apologize in advance if this post seem obvious. I tried my best to do my own research.
For a reason (SD card functionally); I decided to try install another operating system (FaR) on my T-mobile Alcatel Evolve 2 4037t (I know, I am low on funds currently). I did learned a bunch about the mod world, but eventually arrived at the conclusion that my t-mobile phone "won't allow it). However, now, I have a basic understanding of rooting, CWM, flashing a ROM like Cyanogen; basic. I should've figured it out sooner when I was using CWM and CWM did not support my phone, but I certainly learned a few things, all good. But now I have a few concerns.
I was going to leave my phone as it was, but my phone started acting up. And, I am certain it was something a I did. I will try to post Yes and No numbered questions:
1) If I use my phone as a hotspot, could potentially "bad" programs on my phone infect my laptop?
2) I performed factory reset on my phone (twice). However, the Root Checker app (from the play store) says that Busy Box is still installed. Are there any potential security concerns having Busy Box installed? (phone is no longer rooted so I am thinking no)
Any suggestions for a google PlayStore (P.S) app, for security?
For what it's worth:
What concerned me, was how Android File Transfer acted on my laptop. After the first factory reset it would change from USB storage to (MTP), I would unplug the teether, change it back, plug it in and it would change to (MTP) again. And another time , it opened a vast number of Android File Transfer alerts. The only app I downloaded from the net was KingRoot. I had to use Lucky Patcher (from the G.P.S) to get rid of Purify that comes with KingRoot.
My very humble Thanks in Advance!
I am great at mucking dung up, sometimes I wonder if I went to far.

Is the 24/7 customer support on the phone active worldwide? Or is it one of those USA only features?
I was wondering the same, once I managed to get to a screen where I could request support via phone or chat (between 9am-9pm) but now I can't even find that anymore.
It says here to go to Settings -> support :
Edit:If I do that I can request support and it works.
I bought the phone in Germany.
Good to know.. My doubt looks to be in its place then. Hope I'm wrong though.

Sorry about that I checked again and I found the support tab.
Ill try it and see if it works.
update: I tried chat and that worked on the 2nd try, so apparently the feature is available afterall.
I have a Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 with what is called "Pixel Xperience" witch is a custom rom with the pixel launcher and google apps, etc. I have magisk, magiskhide and everything to make my phone appear as a secure phone on playstore. The thing is i accidentally installed Viper4Android on Magisk, when i did that, phone wont boot, i tried doing a metod i know witch is going to /data/adb in the TWRP file manager, but when i tried, everything, everything appeared as random letters and numers, same for my phone storage, if anyone can help me please do it, my brother gived this phone to me with everything and i dont want him to know about this.
Can somebody confirm for me whether Fate go works with magisk hide+ unlocked bootloader?

Best way is to use MagiskHide, the randomize package option for Magisk Manager then install Fate Go in the Sandboxed work environment using Island (it is on the Play Store). Island will hide the app from abusing storage permissions in case they decide to update it to detect folders and files without the storage permission like Pokemon Go did.
Yeah it's working without problems here.

Not longer the right answer to this question.
Fate NA update v1.20 brought some new methods to realize root or emulators(nox)
So it will not work without restrictions.
If you open the game it will start but crash after a few seconds.
To start you need to change Date to 2020, disable automatic time before
start fate you will get 1 sometimes 2 messages.
the first is "delete cache" yust say no
second is "no connection" if you are on the second screen you have to be fast!!!
Go back to time settings, activate the automatic time (this will automatically set the time to today)
Go back to fate and press reconnect, now the game will start.
If you are not fast enough, the game will crash before.
This workaround works for magisk, nox and also on AOSP roms(only if magisk is installed).
Magisk dev is working on a better way to hide root to get around this new methods!
