It doesn't. I tried it with 2 of my wireless chargers. It also doesn't have NFC.

I guess off topic but regarding NFC, on some ROMs you gotta look out for active NFC wakelocks. Noticed on both OmniROM and Lluvia (so far) there was a NFC wakelock keeping the phone awake (up to 87%). In Lluvia I used the built in wakelock blocker. With Omni I just removed the NFC apk. Now both go into deep sleep, dreaming of electric sheep. [emoji16]
I guess in some cases the NFC app is installed and on but grayed out in Settings so it can't be toggled off.

Maybe a next version of Moto G with cdma for US came with NFC!!
The Nexus 5 has NFC, so my assumption is that it's baked into KitKat and they just didn't remove the setting toggle. I don't think it's indicative of anything. ALTHOUGH, it seems like I read somewhere that there is some sort of 'nfc emulation' option included in KitKat...not sure how the hell that works, but perhaps that's its toggle? In either case, I don't think it's indicative of anything insofar as the MotoG is concerned.

Host Card Emulation - requires an NFC controller though.
I'm guessing someone screwed up and added the Tags app to the build even though it won't work.
ohh i fought maby theres an nfc chip and it has to be enabled like miracast

I doubt that, its most likely a QC screw up. NFC is not that expansive, so if they wanted to add it to the Moto G, they would have.
Strangely there are NFC-related files in the kernel source. I don't know whether they did something silly like include the chip with no antenna (there were numerous rumors Samsung did this on the I9100 in preparation for the I9100P and I777...), or of maybe we have a bunch of Moto X stuff mixed into our kernel source (due to Moto trying to maintain a common baseline)
Does it reestablishing a link consistently and as a Trusted Bluetooth Device as well?
there's a review on reddit that the micro does not support trusted bluetooth, which is too bad

I can confirm that for the new Moto X, it can work as a trusted device. I think the Reddit poster was using an Gen1 Moto X.
FYI- my 360 can be a trusted device, the power pack can, and oddly enough so can my Parrot Zik headphones. So I'm not sure that bar is all that high....

Cool. Thinking about picking one up but it looks kinda chunky. I have few keys but with the car fob it might be a bit much for the pocket.
I agree with the above where km8j said it can be any bluetooth device. I know it even recognizes my truck (F-150 with SYNC) as a trusted device.
I have the micro also. It is a little clunky but definitely not bad. I have it with a couple keys and a fob

I haven't seen anything about charge time from the Power Pack Micro -> Moto X, just that it has a max of 1 A output. Have you seen how long it takes for the Moto X to drain the Power Pack?

Ok, according to the following you have to use Motorola Connect to set it up
http://forums.androidcentral.com/moto-x-2013/437944-motorola-micro-power-pack-review.html
Also, one guy says it works as a trusted device another says it doesn't.

It works as a trusted Bluetooth device. Works like a charm.
Just wondering how it works on this device, and in general as I'm thinking of trying for the first time ever.

I'm using a mi band. It works without any problems. The mi app is ok-ish, unfortunately there is no way of using the mi band with other apps. For the price I'm quite satisfied.
The only problem is that the band seems to drain my battery much faster. I guess bluetooth LE is not fully implemented into the opo rom atm. The phone still survives a full day without problems. But before I was able to pull three days out of the battery when needed. The battery of the band is awesome though. The promised 30 days are not a lie.
Up24 works for me now. Had an issue with Up app messing up my GPS rendering Waze & Google navi inoperable. Downloaded AppOps from Playstore and turned off Up app location services and solved my problem.
Happy tracking.

I'm assuming the feature OP is looking for is NFC when the screen is off. I don't think this is a standard feature.

You can pull down the quick toggle menu when the phone is locked - no way to do it when the screen is off
Hi all, i have gotten a kickstarter wireless bluetooth earpiece EOZ Air but when i connect to it, our bluetooth page does not show the battery % while other phones like samsung, Oneplus all shows it. Does anyone knows how can i enable it and see my actual earpiece battery %?
Edit: another quick question, how do i check what Bluetooth firmware am i on? I am on 8.0.0 so i assume i have BT 5.0? but where do i check and confirm this?
If I am not mistaken, the Bluetooth battery indicator was introduced with 8.1
The Bluetooth 5.0 was enabled with an update. I think that was the previous to Oreo.

Yup, saw it and tried a bit. But delete it as it can get quite irritating when it disconnects my device to just find out the battery %. I will just be patient and hope for the best then
