Is there a way to keep the A2DP audio app running in the background even while other music plays? I just want to be able to hear notification noises from my phone while driving, and not have to switch to the A2DP app just to hear a voice message (like one sent on WhatsApp) because my phone is paired to my head unit. Is this possible somehow? I have rooted firmware installed.
Did you ever find a solution for this? I am having this issue too.

this is a major annoyance... I've had a Samsung i760 for a couple months now and have found it seems to have a serious design flaw.
I like to listen to music at work, through my phone using a wired headset (two way headset with mic). I work in a quiet office environment. I always set my ring to silent/vibrate while at work. If I'm listening to music, and happen to receive a call, the music will stop playing through the headset and will start playing through the built in speaker of the phone for all my coworkers and supervisor to hear.
The music would continue to play like this even after answering the call... I have to bring up the player and stop it manually. I was able to partially alleviate this by disabling the 'play in background' setting. With that, the music will still play through the external speaker briefly, roughly 3 seconds, before the player pauses the song. Which is still unacceptable.
I have tried TCPMP and Windows Media and had the same result.
Also, if I have the phone set to ring audibly, the ring is forced through the speaker as well, and the music I was listening to AND the ringtone will play at the same time for those 3 or so seconds.
what I'm hoping someone can help me with is a) a way to make ringtones play through the wired headset if possible, or b) at least keep the sound from being forced through the external speaker when the wired headset is connected and I recieve a call. As it stands, I either can't listen to music at work (a big part of why I bought the phone), or I have to turn the phone receiver off and risk missing calls. Either option sucks and is making consider another phone... though I don't know if this is a WM6 issue or an issue with this specfic phone.
any help would be greatly appreciated!
*bump* anyone?
any way thru the registry to disable the built in speaker alltogether while leaving the headphones operational?
On Acer s200, you can change the value of registry key HKLM\Software\Acer\Scenario\HeadsetIn to 1...
Maybe that can help...
There was an app that i saw in the market now i can't find it
The only one I have found is Super BT Mono Froyo. There is a free version limited to 5 days and a $5.99 version.
It also has the added benefit of using your bluetooth headset to record audio for videos.
You'll want to press "Turn off Super" and then kill it with a task manager or force stop before disconnecting your headset/disabling bluetooth. Or else your phone will reset.
Also, sometimes the audio will revert back to the phone's speaker after a call. Just open the app again, turn it off and then back on.
Wish there was a better app out there that did this.
Trying it out tomorrow thanks
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
Mine just does it....
I think you need a BT headset with A2DP support, then when you connect to the phone, it will say "Connected to phone and media audio."
Mine will play music, ringtones, text-to-speech, through my headset, all stock.
Hi,
Is there any possibility to set that the sound/voices from the app will play through my Bluetooth headset of speakerphone in my car, on a regular basis?
At the moment, just when I'm in conversation, the sounds are also coming out from the Bluetooth speakerphone.
But if I don't in a call, then the sounds goes out only from the speaker of the phone,
and then I don't always hear them becouse my radio is in the background for example.. etc ...
I use a device LG G2.
Thanks in advance!
There's an app called SpeakMe that works fairly well for playing phone notifications over your Bluetooth earpiece. However, it'd be great if there was a way to reply to those with voice-to-text via the Bluetooth earpiece. Is there any app that does this?
Hello
When I have my bluetooth ear buds connected, I only want audio/calls coming through.
I don't want notification sounds (like a new email or chat message) coming through the ear buds.
Any way to do this?
I use Bixby routines as well, so if the solution is through routines, I can.
Thanks.
What about Separate app sound in Settings and set these apps to have notifications only on the phone, not in the Bluetooth ear buds?

sort of would work but not really
for example, I don't want to hear incoming notifications for whats app
but if I select whats app to play through phone only, then I cannot hear voice messages or videos received in whats app
In Goodlock's Sound Assistant, the reverse option is there. Play alerts through headphones only.
I want the opposite.
I've been wanting this feature for ages, but for a different reason.
Every time I'm in my car, or other vehicle, my phone connects over Bluetooth and I hear NO notifications, unless the car head unit is streaming using the Bluetooth.
So if I'm just listening to radio, the notification audio seems to be sent over Bluetooth and doesn't come out anywhere.
There really should be a notification manager that sets the rules or something.
