It's really getting on my nerves to have to click OK each time I plug or unplug my charger when driving / navigating.
Related to this, I have a phone number saved with a wait and then a keypress to skip through an automated system, but I get the same popup as the battery charger asking me to confirm sending the keypress, would like to disable that too if possible.

Hi,
does anybody know a way how i can prevent my Sensation from waking up when i plug in the charger?
I know that there is an option where the device stays awake while charging but i couldn't find anything to keep the display switched off while connecting and disconnecting the charger
My device:
HTC Sensation (german t-mobile branding)

This option isn't marked. Thats why the display gets switched off after a while. But i want the display to stay switches off when i plug in the charger
Do you want that screen is always on while charging?
then just mark Stay awake while charging

No i want it to be switched off all the time while plugin, unplug and charginf
as for my knowledge - not possible to configure,
probably some custom kernel could have screen on when plugging charger disabled
Mime doesn't turn on sense 4.0 through
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G
the question is - can you configure it from OS, or is it defined in custom kernel/ Faux123?
Hello all,
I hope i am posting in the right place, if not please move my post to the right place.
I have update to bada 2.0 using the firmware from hero355 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2131676
And after the update i have some small problem.
Bada 2.0 introduced the percent battery status option, but this does not work well on my phone Samsung GT7230-E.
After i fully charged the battery i see the message "Battery fully Charge ... " but the percent shows 0% and i must power off and power on the phone for it to work.
After the phone reboot i see the battery status to 60%, but this percent status stays like this until the phone is out of power.
Even if i have only 4% of battery, the battery status shows 60% forever until suddenly the phone auto poweroff as there is no power left in battery.
The phone stays ok couple of days like this so this is not a battery problem
This happens even if i disable percent option in battery status, is the same with the battery grid status as well.
Second problem is the sound is not so loud like in bada 2.0 and i dont see an option to make it louder.
Also in sound profile there is no option to change the vibration to sound more seconds.
I want an option if i select "vibrate then sound" for the vibration to be more then 1 second.
Right know the vibration takes only 1 second and right after it the sound alarm goes on.
If something else is needed to debug this let me know.
Thanks,
Has anyone figured a way to completely disable standby?
The shortest I can find is 30 seconds in the options.. i need it to completely shut down when accessory is off..
I am thinking of adding my own "turn-off delay circuit" to keep it on for 3-4 minutes after accessory is off
standby only creates problems IMHO.. closing services etc... like OBD for example.
you could replace the permantent +12v cable to ACC Cable.
after power off the car the radios is completly off.
its not the best way but its a way to guarantee a completly powered off device.
but if you only want to prevent automatic last opended apps:
-maybe pcv startup builder can handle this. im searching for a good solution at the moment.
Got the 'official' Xiaomi 55w charging dock today (its a really nice piece of kit) but, I can't get the charging animation to stay on whilst its charging. Went into developer options -> Stay Awake tab is on. I've even gone into Lock Screen Settings -> Sleep and selected 10 minutes. As soon as the phone hits the charger it displays the animation, even the 50w Max message but turns off after 10 seconds. Is there some setting I'm missing?
The animation is designed in such a way that it shows charging rapidly/turbocharging for 10 seconds and then it goes off. No setting to keep it going while the phone continues charging. The stay awake tab would keep the device awake to the home screen but it wont make the animation last any longer than what its designed for. Be assured that the phone continues to charge at the set wattage and you can verify that using Ampere just in case you want to keep a track.
Hope that answers your question.
It does. Thank you. I seen the charging animation on youtube reviews and thought there might have been an AOD Always On Display function. Thanks again
Hi,
I have a question about runnig my old Samsung (XCover 3 - SM-G388F) without battery.
I have connected wires (usb cable connected to charger) dierctly to pins under cover and it works fine. The problem is that system counts the battery load percentage down and when it reaches 0% the phone is shutting down. When I boot it up system shows again 100% and counts down.
Is there a way to bypass this (phone is rooted if it helps)? I need it runnig 24/7.
ok, my mistake
I was trying to serach an answear before I posted and didn't find anything.
But when I posted this question I got "suggested" thread with answear
"Here's how to fix the battery percentage going down:
-You have to be rooted
-Use the terminal emulator app
-Type SU (switches from $ to #)
-Type this command to keep the phone at 100%
dumpsys battery set level 100
-Type this command to tell the phone that the charger is plugged in
dumpsys battery set usb 1
Everytime you reboot it reverts to stock settings. So I use a tasker script that runs the above commands on every boot."
I leave it here for other
Chears
wouldnt it be possible to keep the battery in and just prevent it from charging ?
I tried that with an app called "Battery Charge Limit" but from time to time the phone was shutting down.
