That's not a bug. It's completely normal for screens to have a little bit of background bleeding. Just check your computer monitor in the corners for example

I have that as well, its not a problem once you get accustomed to it. when I first got the phone from aliexpress, I opened a dispute regarding the order as I thought that the screen is faulty. But actually turned out to be a common problem so I just made my peace with it

Hi. I was searching this forum because i just got my mix 2s. Immediately noticed the light grayish discoloration at the lower part of display. I was planning to have it replaced by the store when i posted this issue at the miui forum. 4 replied to my post, all having the same concern. Then this. So i guess its pretty normal.

A circle on my screen.

Okay, i know this might sound weird, but there is a circle on my s2 plus screen, it doesn't appear on screen shots.
It appears on white background and wallpapers, it's a grey-colored circle.
It's also not an icon, I'm sure it's something on the display itself, it doesn't appear on any screenshot :/
Should i return the mobile back or it's normal?

Yes, you should.
Yes, it's circles from screen protector. I don't know how to say it correctly... it's the screen burn on the light.

Amoled screen color consistency...

On my new s6, with a completely white screen...it's noticeably redder at the top, and gets whiter/yellower as it moves towards the bottom of the screen. How is everyone else's screens?

Pic would probably help, but I would return it. My edge has a green/yellow tinge to it, I'm going to be sending it back as well.

Will try and take one. Just opened up the second S6 I ordered, and its screen looks a lot better. Got two white phones, and think I'd rather have black, so will probably just return the one with a bad screen for a black one.
Here's a pic. Top and bottom of the screen seem pretty different.

I never noticed it until now but the lower 1/5th of my screen is actually very slightly red compared to the top. Ugh.

Yeah I would send that **** back to Vietnam or wherever it came from.

backlight edge bleed?

I bought Z3 LTE from Sony Store last week but I returned it because it had edge light bleed problem on the left side and I returned it. I ordered a second unit few days ago and I received it and seems it has the same thin light edge bleed as pictured below.

Note this is only visible at an extreme angle and is not visible straight on or looking at the phone at a small angle. Also it's only visible on non-black colored background
Is that normal for and LCD screen? should I return it, or don't worry about it?
Thanks!
your chances of finding a perfect panel is basically "zero." if there arent any dead pixels and the backlight bleeding doest affect your viewing experiences then just stick with it. the chances of you getting a more defected one is higher.
you should also go into dial pad and test it with the service menu by inputting
*#*#service#*#*
I believe that is normal.

I ran a complete diagnostics when I received the phone. Luckily everything passed and got zero sight of dead pixels, stuck pixels or clouding! Its not the first time I have seen this, I had similar problem with my xperia S, Z and Z1. So its seems like its a normal thing
I'll take your advice and stick with it. :good:

Please help, I have problems with my Oneplus One

Hello everyone,
I'm new on this forum. Please help me to understand and solve my problem.
I bought pre-owned OnePlus One stone black 64GB.
Today I see on my phones screen Dot's like dead pixel all around the screen. When I go to black background Dot's comes visible. I can't identify what is real problem. For first I think this is damaged pixels and I must change screen but when I swipe on the screen Dot's goes with moved objects (icons, wallpaper) then I restart phone and all black boot background appear I see lot of Dot's dancing all over the screen. After that I think software problem. I root my phone, flash kernal with TWRP but problem steel exist. I go back to official software but the same problem.
Please see attached screen shot. Look around Chrome icon. When I slide on touch screen those green Dot's goes with icon.
Please help me to understand what is real problem.
Thanks.

Looks like GPU artifacts.
Failing GPU may be .. If the dots are moving and not constant. Try will latest CM13 to rule out issue of software problem. If still dots move then its hardware issue ..

Thanks everyone for replay. I solve problem. Open phone reconnect display connector and problem disappeared.
Thanks.

How much screen bleeding is normal?

Hello,
I bought the RN6P recently and noticed there were some reports about a backlight bleeding issue like on the Poco F1 on the internet. But I also saw other people mention, that a certain amount of bleeding is normal, since the screen is being lit from the side.
So I took a picture and I want you opinions on this. The 'bleeding' appears on the chin (maybe 1 - 2 mm; you can see it fading away towards the corners of the screen) and on the top (not really visible on the picture) of the phone, is this a normal ammount or should I try to return it?
From the Xiaomi Forums (better pic quality):

Mine:
well usually there are some bleed mostly around notch as you must have read it, but I am not sure if this yellow ting on the down side is real or just present on this photo - however if it is seen in real this yellow-ish like, it is quite not normal, as it is not close to the screen end, but is rather centered .. I would try to return/replace the piece at the reseller, if possible.

That yellowish stuff are just the apps on the screen. I was reffering to the chin, where it's the most obvious. It's not as bad as with the Poco F1, but it still catches my eye time to time.
