I've installed the latest official Oreo Update for my Country: G930FXXU2ERE8/G930FDBT2ERE8 (DBT)
After setting all up (with SuperSU) my camera stopps working after a few reboots. Anyone with the same issue?
PS: Happens for me on Dylan`s Oreo V4 too....
Try to clear camera app data
Haven't had any issues here. I'm on through BTU versions. But also, I'm not rooted! Managed to stop myself this time (phone) round.

I found out that some library file was missing.
Camera stopped working Completely. Not partially.

Hey guys. I just wanted to share that I found a (almost) fully working combination of patch + gcam for us global users! The only problem I encountered is, that after viewing photos in gallery the front cam won't save new pictures. To fix/avoid that just take a photo with the rear cam switch back to front and everything works again. No need to wipe cache or restart.

This isn't a magisk module and has to be flashed in TWRP. The changelog says (+New libs for front cam by @BeatBydad) so maybe this is the magic which made it work now. : )

I am currently using Havoc OS 2.0 but will keep on testing with other roms. Also the above gcam version is the only one I discovered so far which is fully working. Newer version still FC on frontcam.

I use a port of Google camera on my Galaxy S6 G920i with Nougat.
But I can not use the same APK in any version be it Oreo or above.
The application simply freezes and I can not do anything.
I would like to test and use LineageOS, Pixel and other ROMs, but the native camera is not good. GCam would be the solution, but it freezes, I believe that because of some function available to Oreo and above.
Can anyone use GCam without problems in these versions? (8.0+)

Camera works fine here, try clearing cache from recovery always after the update.
If the camera does not pop up visit a service center for a camera malfunction.

Hi Xda, I have been using Lineage 17.1 for some time everything works perfectly fine.
The issue comes when i want to upload an instagram (Story) or a Whatsapp (status) uploading just fails. I already did all the possible fixing solutions with nonrelated OS possible problems (connection, app version, factory reset).
Also when i try to record a video without the stock camera (just records 3s and then just freezes)
