I think it's better to wait for official twrp to avoid a brick. Do you have a non root alternative? I've got andromeda and substrate

Before I rooted my op6, I used Andromeda with substratum. It worked with valerie and pitchblack themes with some partial errors and bugs. For example, themes on apps not getting applied on random times. But other than that it was fine!
I've tried ozone, flux white and both works very well
Thanks I'll try it out

Hi, We don't have the device to support it. But if we find some testers then we will be able to support it. Probably it might be working already.

I have been using it with no issues.
Does this overlay the white notification tray/bar on Oreo? All the other non-root apps I have tried won't do it. I'm still debating whether or not to root to get this to work. Thank you
Can confirm, Flux and swift black/Grey themes work perfectly

you think wrong, it works as it always did: use this twrp and you can flash magisk 16.4 directly as it always was
try this post : https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=76681988&postcount=203
make sure to flash 16.4 magisk and have the lates apk installed, that's crucial !!
in case you're wifi is gone, boot into the other slot, for some reason some people fiddle with slots and boot from the wrong slot form wifi will break
it is crucial to flash the recovery zip to the non-active slot from within recovery and after that go back to the current slot (wifi thingy you remember LOL)
further the device holds a system image partition as well as a vendor image partition that remain untouched by playing around, so to easiest way to get a borked device back on track
ist o re-lock the bootloader and re-unlock it in same session. the device will boot virgin untouched system after that because everything at this point has been formated (properly LOL)
sorry, to stay on topic, almost forgot, running substratum theme without issues, nothing new except the fact that you have to boot after installing the themes and then go to manager and enable all.
works like a charm, i'm using swift black theme
below you find a few shots to illustrate the above mentioned.
the 3 dots are from the 3-finger gesture screen-shooting, can be avoided by standard way of taking a shot, i think they (OP) has to work on this another but while it's very comfy indeed.

Here's a quick zip file I made for converting your Android smartphone into OnePlus One.
Step 1. You will need the latest CM11 ROM installed (I recommend either Snapshot M9 or M8).
Step 2. Flash the HighOnAndroid OnePlus One Conversion Kit zip file in CWM or TWRP Recovery:
http://downloadandroidrom.com/file/...t/HighOnAndroid.comOnePlusOneConvert-V1.0.zip
Step 3. Once booted, just change theme to Hexo theme. That's it!
This comes with the OnePlus One lockscreen, camera, fully-working AudioFX app, Screencast, and OnePlus One Hexo theme.

For noobs, I have a more detailed guide here also on my site:

Is the oneplusone conversion kit just a theme that can be applied and removed? My main worry is that I may not like the lockscreen and what would happen if I wanted to go back to my original lockscreen? Can i just choose another theme?

Can the lockscreen be customized? I am already using the Lockscreen on my Find 5, but I can't change it's color. I like the Lockscreen, the Camera and the Gallery, but I want to keep the DSP-Manager, so I don't see a reason to flash the ZIP.
Another suggestion: Why don't you include the OPO-Gallery? I think it's nice.

Yeah, it should be working. But there is no warranty for that, you should make a nandroid Backup in case your device gets stuck in a bootloop.
On Galaxy S+ if the phone locks you can't unlock it. The screen turn off and then only when you hit the bottom buttons they light up and the phone vibrates, I can't unlock it.
V4A on Nougat/Oreo
Before starting:
-Make sure you have TWRP!
-Viper4android doesn't seem to work on certain roms, but there should be no problem with the more popular ones and it also works on all AOSP roms.
-Always have a nandroid backup, in case something goes wrong or you just want to uninstall viper4android!
How to install?
1. Download audio_effects.conf file and with a root explorer replace the one in /system/etc
2. Uninstall or Freeze "Sound Alive" (for AOSP "MusicFX") with Titanium Backup.
3. If you have magisk, flash Viper4Android Magisk in recovery. For supersu use regular Viper4Android zip.
(When it asks to install the driver, then just wait.
If seems to be frozen just don't touch it and let it do it's job.)
Enjoy!
thanks. works as it sounds

If you don't have Sound Alive on your rom then just flashing the Viper4android zip should do the trick.
But if you have the annoying Sound Alive, then the procedure is exactly the same, but then flash this zip.

In the OP Point 7 of installation guide. That installs MagiskSU. Just install magisk manager to control root.
I'm coming from epic global ROM, do i still need to do the formatting?
Edit: by format system, do you mean factory reset or formatting the entire SD card where all files will be erased?

Are you referring to the gestures itself (which were introduced with Q) or are there any significant changes in beta 6, because so far I havent noticed anything new.
So far, all I've noticed is that the swipe from right menu works way nicer than before. I found it almost impossible previously to get it to grab. Now it does nicely. You can also change the back button gesture sensitivity too. I haven't found anything else new yet.
Another thing that they were supposed to do was add fonts. So far, there are two options. REALLY lame. Google is supposed to be all about customization, but we can't change fonts, icons, nothing. Anyway, hopefully the other stuff we haven't seen yet comes on the stable release.

And by the way TWRP for Q will only be available after release of the beta phase has ended. Don't install TWRP on your phone if you plan to use Q beta - booting it from fastboot though is fine since it doesn't alter any files - anyways it won't give you any benefits as it's defunct for Q.

One my OP7 Pro I am rooted running magisk on Pie. In the past on other roms and devices, I have been able to add Xposed to magisk as a module and install Gravity Box in Xposed just to get the one option to add the day and date, eg: Oct 29 GB is way too much for one feature.
Are their any modules, hacks, etc without installing Xposed and GB on my device (which I'm not sure is possible but don't want that option)?
Any advice?

Two solutions I am aware of. EdXposed and GravityBox. or K-Klock substratum theme. I personally use K-Klock as it was the only feature I really wanted from GB as well.
