Free Webspace for Android Devs

Are you a creator of anything for android? Themes, apps, anything? Well, I am going to be offering free webspace to Android Devs on my domain andyapps.com.
I will provide the following:
20GB BW
2GB Storage
subdomain (youoryourapp.andyappz.com)
mailbox (setup through gmail)
You can host a domain if you have one, but we prefer to use subs. This will be open to all Devs apps or other wise, there will be a for to sign up on the site eventually, but for now its by PM/email only.if interested please hit me up, I want to do my part to help this awesome OS, and since my java skills are not so much (lol) i decided to do this. You can reach me via PM or email [email protected]. Please provide me with an email address and IM preferably AIM or MSN if available and Ill get you setup with subdomain, ftp, and email.

I would also be willing to give up some webspace for the cause. i run my own website http://www.xionic.org, let me know if its needed. 2gb of space is available as I host only a few kb on there at the moment

i have an FTP that could be used for devs. i would love to upload the firmwares here and host them, but im not sure on how happy Verizon (fios) would be with heavy traffic. If i can help, let me know. (currently i have over a A LOT of space avail.)

Yeah, I made a similar offer a few months ago (free section in my forum with full mod permissions and some ftp space) but not a lot of ppl seem to need/want it. I guess its more work for them when they can just post here. Jesusfreke took advantage of it but he rarely uses the forum, mostly the ftp (which is all good, anything I can do to help the cause).

I would be willing to take one of you up on the generous offers, but I need a 95% uptime guarantee....

Im interested! I just sent you an email. Like others have said you are probably the third person I am taking up on this offer, I hope it sticks and I can find some valuable use for it. For the most part I post threads here, pics on photobucket.com and files at 4shared.com so an FTP wont be a huge time saver but I would like to consolidate all of my work into 1 spot and maybe create a blog too.

We don't know and he will appear when he wants. The thing is, we don't pay the devs anything so we can't do anything about it. There is no point in complaining that devs made empty promises, they don't owe us anything, what can we say? I feel it is also wrong to keep on spamming devs about kernel 3.0. Yes it may make a stable cm9. However, devs need the time and resources and it doesn't seem too easy to port kernels. So there is no need to pester the devs. Though fuss hasn't been showing his face, he may either be building something for us, or doing nothing, we can't do anything about it. There isnt much point in complaining about devs I'm afraid. Put yourself in their shoes...

Agreeed...i am spellbound to see vishal getting support as well as being criticised for asking UC team to help dhiru..but since vurrut has made a cm9 kernl..cant he actually help dhiru?? i hv not commented evn a single tym..theres no use adding fuel to fire..as far as fuss goes..m sad that people donate for somone and dat person goes on a leave.!!

Ha ha ha...poor i9100 s2 members ...!! Actually I am quite happy because when people were donating phone to fuss I almost did everything to convince people not to donate fuss as he is just a new in development. But as he had ported ICS sdk people were mad behind him for ICS development & everyone criticized me that time. And now look...where is fuss...!!! He made miui based on cm7 but all we know that JP007 did remaining 90% of work. Just few days ago he released an ICS sm9 based rom but u can clearly see that it was themed cm9 rom of Dhiru. Nothing new in that rom. Donation to fuss is a lesson to those people who dont want to look development history of a perticular developer & blindly believe who make fake promises.

Dont take me in wrong way but I am not agree with u. People are criticizing me because they feel that I am spamming the thread of UC kernel. But I only know one thing that we all donate a phone in expectation that developer will work on those thing for which phone has been donated to them. But if developer is working on something else then cant we have right to tell them what we want...?? Its not that we are paying for them for development. Its about promises & expectations of developer & people who donate them.

I said I will bring MIUI when I came to this device and of course most of the work was done by other people. I really would like to help you in CM9 but I never said I can manage it and I can not fix the bugs that are in it now. And its the same as always you guys can´t read clearly ^^ I said to the people in the S2G community I will bring them MIUI and there was not a word about CM9!

Thanx for intimating us. I think We should ask Dhiru as he is in touch with all developers who are working on cm9 & especially kernel 3.0. I will PM Dhiru about this.

Depens to the country... f.e. if the otheruser lives in germany its very cheap and I will pay it.
I dont know how expensive it is to ship one to india or something like this but its nit cheap

We need to make a correct decision this time, I mean a really proper one. Ask developers (especially Dhiru) who they think can really help in our phone development. And before sending the phone out, ask that particular dev whether he will really commit himself to the development, IMO it is better to have a committed dev rather than a recognized one but with a little time with our phone.
Btw, big thanks to Fuss for all the things that you have done to our phone, and I wish you future success with whatever phone you are developing into

Are you the best dev out there? Use your free time to anything, but no to development of ROMs if you're gonna leave everything at the end, taking every ROM that you did.

Almost all of its workings and ROM I shared. And even more, in a closed group they were first tested to find errors. I asked not to upload one single ROM (from 3 or even 4, which I did). ONE ROM! And this is because people who helped me financially have the right to some sort of bonus, relative to all the others. And I asked the person who laid out this single ROM for good to remove it. And even turned to the moderators. But instead of understanding, I got a raise warning level. And all my posts were erased. I just did what I promised to do if I refused. Am I wrong? After all, these are all the fruits of my time spent and I can dispose of them as I see fit. Or I'm not right again. Or can I oblige to work for everyone and solve for you your problems and your mistakes?
And personally for @psykkuno. What mistakes did you fix in my source code, myself? Or you just can take the source and collect?

I am gonna answer your question. Check my git in a few days to see the updates didn't have the time to update the tree simple as that. I am working on O + I had to fix Validus sources because it was showing errors for our device, hope that helps.

None of 4p users wants our developers to get separated, xiaomi abandoned us, only u developers can help us but you guys need to work together so that we can taste all latest things. Leave out those misunderstandings let's work together to get hands on sweet android oreo?. Of course if you guys want to help us poor users ?

He's on our Group along with lsdty and I built Validus fixed the bugs that I could and was able to now I am focusing on AIM to get the bugs fixed and then I am going on Oreo.

only asking because like Steve Jobs said "great artists steal". you can always grab a famous but clearly disfunctional or outdated app and say "this is how it should be", and who knows, you might even sell it to the company youre helping

in end it look like a 8 to 10 month project.

not sure i understood that, but what kind of apps do you use that you like?

[PSA] PA Dev interested in porting LOS to our phone, needs our help getting one!

Ok people so here's the deal:
User @maintainer mentioned in the Lineage dev thread that a dev from the Paranoid Android team was interested in porting to our device but unfortunately couldn't afford it. He'll also leave a working LOS tree so other people can port other roms to our device and probably make a working TWRP, actually working. The dev in this case is known as Offain on Discord and his xda handle is @33bca.
So I took it upon myself to go talk to said dev and set up a plan for this. Here's how things stand:
According to @maintainer, we need to gather 180 Swiss Francs (158.2€) to fund this device. I've spoken to the developer, Offain and I'll link him the thread so he can pop in and confirm all this. If enough people are interested in chpping in some cash, he'll post his paypal and we can all directly donate to him. I'm trying to keep this as transparent as possible cuz we don't want a repeat of the situation with @d1ngh and TWRP.
So post here if you're interested and how much you're willing to donate for this. I'll keep count in OP of the cash.
I'll start obviously, I'm unemployed atm but willing to chip in 5€.
Current funding: 105.82€ We're half way there!

Dunno. No one in the custom rom scene has interest in MIUI honestly (neither do I). If you wanted MIUI probably should have gotten the Redmi 6 Pro

User @maintainer mentioned in the Lineage dev thread that a dev from the Paranoid Android team was interested in porting to our device but unfortunately couldn't afford it. He'll also leave a working LOS tree so other people can port other roms to our device and probably make a working TWRP, actually working. The dev in this case is known as Offain on Discord and his xda handle is @33bca.
So I took it upon myself to go talk to said dev and set up a plan for this. Here's how things stand:
According to @maintainer, we need to gather 180 Swiss Francs (158.2€) to fund this device. I've spoken to the developer, Offain and I'll link him the thread so he can pop in and confirm all this. If enough people are interested in chpping in some cash, he'll post his paypal and we can all directly donate to him. I'm trying to keep this as transparent as possible cuz we don't want a repeat of the situation with @d1ngh and TWRP.
So post here if you're interested and how much you're willing to donate for this. I'll keep count in OP of the cash.
I'll start obviously, I'm unemployed atm but willing to chip in 5€.

Just say how much you are willing to chip in and I'll add it to the OP. Offain will show up later today or tomorrow to validate the legitimacy of the thread. He says that when we have enough cash confirmed, he'll give us his paypal link so we can all send it there. He's pretty pumped about this if we can get it off the ground and so am I
I didn't want to make a paypal account just for this because 1) I don't think people who trust/believe me and 2) It's a lot of responsability to hold other people's money. So I went with the honest and transparent way of going about this.
