This will be open to all Devs apps or other wise, there will be a for to sign up on the site eventually, but for now its by PM/email only.if interested please hit me up, I want to do my part to help this awesome OS, and since my java skills are not so much (lol) i decided to do this. Yeah, I made a similar offer a few months ago (free section in my forum with full mod permissions and some ftp space) but not a lot of ppl seem to need/want it. I guess its more work for them when they can just post here. Jesusfreke took advantage of it but he rarely uses the forum, mostly the ftp (which is all good, anything I can do to help the cause).
I would be willing to take one of you up on the generous offers, but I need a 95% uptime guarantee....

Im interested! I just sent you an email. Like others have said you are probably the third person I am taking up on this offer, I hope it sticks and I can find some valuable use for it. For the most part I post threads here, pics on photobucket.com and files at 4shared.com so an FTP wont be a huge time saver but I would like to consolidate all of my work into 1 spot and maybe create a blog too.

aghhh im fed up with server migration. Ive just had to change servers at work and ive had to restore over 30 accounts and its been a right ordeal! At least new server is lightening fast though.

Hi peeps just an update My sponsored site from vexamus will be down in a couple days time and also my phone is broken, not sure whats wrong with it just one minute was working and next the phone wont even turned on.
I tried putting in bootloader mode and nothing, seems like a hardware or battery fault as it wont even charge as well.
The sponsored site has been really good but we never expect so much downloads and bandwith was going to be used and vexamus tried his best but he cannot maintain all those bandwidths space been use.
So this is my story to tell you.
I was working on v4b with wm6.1 which was almost finished it was a earlier build but was really quick.
I will updated you Guys as soon as I get any good news.

I got a rapidshare premium account as well, was looking for a ftp server has it was much easier for everyone. If nothing comes I will use my rapidshare to host files again

Thanks for all the offers pm me with detaills, just to let you know the current server had unlimited bandwidth space but the download traffic was Humangos which at current vexamus is having a hard time, Thumbs up to him for starting and sponsoring me for the ftp server.
Hopefully my phone should be fixed and i can continue on wm6.1 for kaiser

Dutty I had the same problem before and it was simply I needed a new battery. Hopefully that will be the quick easy fix for you like it was for me.

As you may already know, he is one of our best bets to a fully working Android. He has helped a lot, along with other wonderful people that bring us the best of their knowledge.
Well, I don't know how many of you donated money for this project, but it's definitely necessary to provide our developers with test devices.

I received a message from mssmison. I have just realized that his original device was a Vogue, not a Polaris Sorry, I misunderstood it.
Well, I'm going to change the topic of this thread to fit the reality. My proposal is this: now that a donation link is set up, we could use it to raise the numbers enough to buy a Polaris, too. If you make a donation, specify that it is to buy a Polaris.
I trust that mssmison will be honest and he will get one once he gets the money. I will send him a PM to inform about it.
He told me that he's going to use it as a test device and extra phone to develop for. This could make possible to fix things quickly!
You've got to take into consideration that Vogue and Polaris are similar devices, but not the same, and we have way less developers... I think this is the only mean to keep the dev scene alive.

I noticed a lot of devs hosting things with rapidshare and megaupload so thought I would try and do my bit for the site and offer some free hosting for any Desire files that you need hosting. Please keep what you upload legal no warez or anything like that if warez or any other illegal files are found in your FTP your login details will be removed instantly. If any dev wants a FTP post here and I will be intouch. I will be checking user posts to make sure only real devs get FTP you will have your own folder where you can host files and HTML.

Another good way would be to share roms via dropbox (Public folder). You get 2 GB of free storage at the beginning.
Via referrals you can get up to 11GB.

Unfortunately due to server load I will only be offering hosting space for all things "Desire". As far as my download cap goes ....... I dont have one so that wont be a problem . If you do end up porting Kang-o-rama over to desire feel free to get in touch.

I've been hosting many various ROM's and kitchens for other phones for 7 or 8 months now. I know there's quite a big Hero following as well, so I just thought I'd throw it out there if anyone would like to host their files on my site instead of MultiUpload junk.
Anyways, site's in the sig, my email addy to get upload access is on the site. The whole site is setup just for hosting rom's. Uploading is really simple, etc. Plenty of speed (I max out my 30mbps connection at home whenever I download something from it myself), plenty of space, etc.
Mods: This isn't an advertisement for a site that would compete with XDA, it's solely a file host. I've already had approval in other phone sections. Just an FYI.

I'm betting if the email address is to his host then its because the DNS changes havent went into effect fully..
Yeah that's probably correct. I just moved to a better host over the weekend, so it's possible some smaller ISP's or mail servers still don't have the updated DNS records I suppose. If you want upload permissions feel free to send me a PM instead for the time being.
Whoops, nope, I broke my mail server when I changed a few settings yesterday apparently, and didn't realize it! lol... fixed now.
