Duttys Server's & Kaiser's Update

Hi peeps just an update My sponsored site from vexamus will be down in a couple days time and also my phone is broken, not sure whats wrong with it just one minute was working and next the phone wont even turned on.
I tried putting in bootloader mode and nothing, seems like a hardware or battery fault as it wont even charge as well.
The sponsored site has been really good but we never expect so much downloads and bandwith was going to be used and vexamus tried his best but he cannot maintain all those bandwidths space been use.
So this is my story to tell you.
I was working on v4b with wm6.1 which was almost finished it was a earlier build but was really quick.
I will updated you Guys as soon as I get any good news.

I got a rapidshare premium account as well, was looking for a ftp server has it was much easier for everyone. If nothing comes I will use my rapidshare to host files again

Hey dutty, love your roms, but do you have any start menu folder icons you could share? I need some because I don't like it being a plain folder. Do you have any?

thanks for the offer but I called HTC, I will have to send it in for repairs if its un-repairable hopefully I should get a new one,

Thanks for all the offers pm me with detaills, just to let you know the current server had unlimited bandwidth space but the download traffic was Humangos which at current vexamus is having a hard time, Thumbs up to him for starting and sponsoring me for the ftp server.
Hopefully my phone should be fixed and i can continue on wm6.1 for kaiser

Dutty I had the same problem before and it was simply I needed a new battery. Hopefully that will be the quick easy fix for you like it was for me.

Free Webspace for Android Devs

Are you a creator of anything for android? Themes, apps, anything? Well, I am going to be offering free webspace to Android Devs on my domain andyapps.com.
I will provide the following:
20GB BW
2GB Storage
subdomain (youoryourapp.andyappz.com)
mailbox (setup through gmail)
You can host a domain if you have one, but we prefer to use subs. This will be open to all Devs apps or other wise, there will be a for to sign up on the site eventually, but for now its by PM/email only.if interested please hit me up, I want to do my part to help this awesome OS, and since my java skills are not so much (lol) i decided to do this. You can reach me via PM or email [email protected]. Please provide me with an email address and IM preferably AIM or MSN if available and Ill get you setup with subdomain, ftp, and email.

I would also be willing to give up some webspace for the cause. i run my own website http://www.xionic.org, let me know if its needed. 2gb of space is available as I host only a few kb on there at the moment

i have an FTP that could be used for devs. i would love to upload the firmwares here and host them, but im not sure on how happy Verizon (fios) would be with heavy traffic. If i can help, let me know. (currently i have over a A LOT of space avail.)

Yeah, I made a similar offer a few months ago (free section in my forum with full mod permissions and some ftp space) but not a lot of ppl seem to need/want it. I guess its more work for them when they can just post here. Jesusfreke took advantage of it but he rarely uses the forum, mostly the ftp (which is all good, anything I can do to help the cause).

I would be willing to take one of you up on the generous offers, but I need a 95% uptime guarantee....
Not trying to rip you off or milk you till you bleed, but I am in the progress of writing an app(after I finish and test out the scripts) and will need a little ftp storage....
I was a happy camper until haykuro borked my G1 tonight... lmao - I cried I was laughing so hard...

Im interested! I just sent you an email. Like others have said you are probably the third person I am taking up on this offer, I hope it sticks and I can find some valuable use for it. For the most part I post threads here, pics on photobucket.com and files at 4shared.com so an FTP wont be a huge time saver but I would like to consolidate all of my work into 1 spot and maybe create a blog too.

ROM makers: Want a different host for your files?

For the last 6 months I've been hosting files for developers in the Eris section. I made the site to people wouldn't have to use all that MultiUpload crap, got sick of the waiting 60 seconds to download a file, entering a verification code, etc etc.
Anyways, the site's worked well. You can direct link to your files, upload everything via a simple web interface.
I just thought I'd offer the site to developers in other forums now.

Just thought I'd offer my hosting to Hero users

As I typed this thread title I saw there's been two other posts in the last month or so about this, but oh well.
I've been hosting many various ROM's and kitchens for other phones for 7 or 8 months now. I know there's quite a big Hero following as well, so I just thought I'd throw it out there if anyone would like to host their files on my site instead of MultiUpload junk.
Anyways, site's in the sig, my email addy to get upload access is on the site. The whole site is setup just for hosting rom's. Uploading is really simple, etc. Plenty of speed (I max out my 30mbps connection at home whenever I download something from it myself), plenty of space, etc.
Mods: This isn't an advertisement for a site that would compete with XDA, it's solely a file host. I've already had approval in other phone sections. Just an FYI.

I'm betting if the email address is to his host then its because the DNS changes havent went into effect fully..

Yeah that's probably correct. I just moved to a better host over the weekend, so it's possible some smaller ISP's or mail servers still don't have the updated DNS records I suppose. If you want upload permissions feel free to send me a PM instead for the time being.
Whoops, nope, I broke my mail server when I changed a few settings yesterday apparently, and didn't realize it! lol... fixed now.

Yeah I do have to agree that file factory is horrible. That's part of the reason I'm setting up a file mirror. I personally prefer to download straight from a server, etc. But for now not much we can so.

Well I was forced to remove the files. Apparently the company I use for hosting didn't like the traffic spike? I dunno I got an e-mail demanding I remove the file, when I went to remove it the deleted the entire directory, the site and everything. Good thing I have a backup.
But I'm going to contact them and see if I can mirror the smaller files. Just kinda irritated considering I have been with them for several years, and I have Unlimited traffic.

I don't have a bandwidth limit at all on my hosting, if you need a better host, let me know and I can hook you up. But I have the ruus on my ftp and they are not going anywhere so feel free to use that link I posted.
