Hi guys,
after unlocking bootloader and rooting my Honor View 10
it seems that the phone does not keep itself awake
when i'm looking at it, like it used to do before rooting.
It was such a super helpful feature :crying:
Is this caused by rooting process,
and anyone else experiencing the same issue?
Thank you!

Hi thank you for your reply
I'm on BKL-L09 version 8.0.0.140(C432)
Rooted with Magisk via pretoriano80 custom TWRP
Faceunlock works just fine, very strange.
Any suggestion? Maybe try a factory reset?
In order to do so, how should I proceed being on Magisk and custom TWRP?
Thank you!

I suggest you to try this recovery https://forum.xda-developers.com/ho.../recovery-bkl-nocheck-recovery-flash-t3778085 and install the lastest fullOTA available on the Huawei Firmware Finder app
This should work

Thanks for the reply,
fortunately I had the official 141 update available (I was on 140)
So I ended up flashing the official recovery and just launched the full update from the settings.
Then reinstalled custom TWRP and Magisk and now all is working fine.
However will save and keep in mind the method you suggested for future reference, that would be perfect if no official updates are available for restoring.
Thanks again mate!

Hey guys!
I was wondering if anyone has rooted the latest update? If so, are you using the same TWRP and SuperSU as with B561?
I also have a question for those that use AndroidPay. Have any of you been able to use AP while rooted? If yes, can you please guide me in the right direction. I'm a big AP user and I hate that I would have to lose the ability to root my device in order to get it working.
Thanks in advance for the help!
I'm using 3.0.2 TWRP and SuperSU v2.64 Pro, and it works perfect.

Can you tell me, why do yo want to root your phone?
I root because I use xposed for Adblocker and youtube adaway... plus the deletion of Gapps that are of no use.

May I ask what even drove you to install TWRP?
Do you know what it does?
Why on earth would you need Google images??
Do you by any chance think you own a nexus/pixel?

It works. It's worked for many people in this situation. But you need to be able to follow the instructions carefully for eRecovery method and correctly set the DNS on your wifi router.

You can. Just backup your stock recovery and stock boot image before your root. If you want to receive OTAs again, just restore those two then uninstall your root app.

First of all flash twrp 3.1.1-1 from one of the threads. You can flash it from your current twrp. Then google supersu 2.82 emui 5. You'll find a thread in the huawei p9 section of xdaforums and flash that. Its modified to work with emui. Then you're good to go
I solved, I installed twrp 3.0.2 and I flashed supersu r275 and I installed from google store phh supersu and now it s rooted
Good, does it work properly?!

Please update it to 3.1.1-1, some bugs are fixed on that version.

U need a specific version of supersu to have rooted perfect
Yes , that supersu is separately build for emui . If u can be of some help . U can make a guide for rooting just on emui
Not mine my frn. It was build by an other dev. Search can help u .
You can actually use the latest SuperSU but first install the latest TWRP. It will work. The problem is that the vendor partition is unmounted by default. With the latest TWRP, the vendor is always mounted.
