Has anyone tried putting XPosed on their OP6? - OnePlus 6 Questions & Answers

I've rooted my OP6 with Magisk and I'd like to get Gravitybox but idk if it's safe to try to install XPosed using this https://www.xda-developers.com/xposed-framework-for-android-oreo-beta/. Has anybody tried it or have any information on this? Thanks.

First, make sure you can reflash your device back to stock (either by flashing full ROM or restoring from TWRP) if anything goes wrong.
Install XposedInstaller_3.1.5.apk from this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3034811
You can then run the app and it will allow you to download and install proper Xposed Framework for your device.
Xposed Framework Oreo is still in beta, but my experience is that everything seems to be working just fine on my OP3T running OOS Beta.
Not sure what changes OOS on OP6 has compared to other OP devices so there is a certain probability that it might be incompatible.
Note, that GravityBox is not fully compatible with OOS running on OP6 (some of the features, like e.g. those navbar related, might not work as expected).

Problem with Xposed + COS13

Hi guys, after a long time out i've come back to XDA and installed COS13 (S2JK release).
I rooted my OnePlus One with SuperSU v. 2.65 (stable) then i downloaded and flashed xposed-v84-sdk23-arm.zip, then installed the XposedInstaller_3.0_alpha4.apk.
But when i tried to activate Xposed i got the infamous "xposed not yet compatible with SDK 23 or your processor architecture (armeabi-v7a)" error.
After some reading here and there, i found out that ppl is still fine with Xposed v.80, so i installed everything again...and i got the same error. I also tried to install supersu v 2.68 burt to no avail.
What's wrong with that? Isn't COS13 supposed to work with Xposed?
Can anyone point me out in the right direction?
Thanx in advance
i dont know how to solve your problem but I have xposed-v84-sdk23-arm working perfectly on a clean flash of COS 13 from the official full zip from cyanogen. Using supersu 2.65 stable

Thank you for confirming that it works....now that really bothers me.
Why do i get that error? I have a fresh clean COS13..
As far as i know, Xposed should work fine in selinux enforced mode..but just to make sure...are you in enforced mode?
P.S. Should i first install the app and THEN flash the framework? Does that make any difference?

Has anyone installed xposed on the SM-J700T?

I've rooted, but I'm wary about installing xposed. Can someone confirm it working?
Here you go. Flash this through twrp. Don't have it installed anymore. I just never used it. But it did flash and worked. I even tried a few modules but didn't like them.

I'm running xposed 87.1 custom built by Wanam. Xposed works fine, it's just not a great Samsung tool.

Official Xposed for Nougat is out! Post your Xperiences...

Have you installed official Xposed for Nougat?
Does it work fine on your MotoZ?
Any performance issues/lags?
Please add details on your ROM version, root method and if you have Magisk installed too or not...
Thank you.
I have this rom
Android Nougat on Moto Z (All Unlocked Versions) and rooted in the way that post says.
Installed xposed OK via TWRP, modules are correctly checked and enabled but didn't work, for example greenify didn't recognize that xposed is installed so didn't show the option.
Now I have missed data connection so am going to reinstall the same rom on the dirty way to not lose data and reinstall everything.

Two things...
- Greenify needs to fix its compatibility with Nougat, it's a known bug
- It is *needed* to use new official Xposed apk v.3.1.2 to manage modules activation. I've seen that unofficial or old version aren't able to enable them properly...
Thanks I have just read that about greenify, the list of compatible modules with nougat is short at this time guess so

Mine doesn't boot with xposed installed.
Stock 7.1.1 with turboZ and magisk
I remember that installing magisk caused a bootloop on my stock 7.0
I had forgotten what modifications I did to my 7.0 stock (retus), trying to flash Xposed on it prevented it from booting (probably because of verity-dm) so I restarted from scratch.
1) Downloaded 7.1.1 stock from here and flashed it. Downloaded and installed 2 OTAs from system updates then.
2) Flashed latest TWRP (3.1.1-0).
3) I've read various reports of latest Magisk not working on Moto Z. Gave it a try though. Flashed Magisk v14.0, everything went well and I got back root access.
4) Tried installing systemless Xposed, however install failed from Magisk Manager, flashing the zip succeeded in recovery but Xposed wasn't recognized after reboot.
5) So I flashed classic Xposed (arm64) following these instructions, everything went fine (after one very long reboot).
Hi my fried. How long time this reboot in minuts?
Thanks

Safest way to install xposed?

hello!
I have an s6 edge (G925F), running on latest global elite ROM 4.1 (nougat 7.0), and I have latest Magisk (16.0).
I want to install Xposed framework, but I'm confused which way is the safest and less bootloop-y to install it.
should I install it systemlessly through Magisk manager [Xposed Framework (SDK 24)]? or should i flash it with twrp from this thread?
i really don't want to brick it or lose anything xD

Both methods work.
I installed using the latest xposed installer apk & then it installed the latest xposed firmware & after a reboot which was quite long (more than 2 minutes), xposed was activated!

Install the latest xposed installer apk (non-magisk) from the official thread. Open the app & install the xposed framework & reboot. Reboot will take some time.
Then u can download some modules like GravityBox & activate & reboot to use it
If something goes wrong, idk. I think u have to try to get to twrp & dirty flash the rom you're using again.

Also you can download xposed uninstaller from official xposed site and if rom bootloops flash that in twrp and it will uninstall it and you can boot phone then.

It won't bootloop, after you flash xposed zip in twrp, wipe cache and dalvik cache, then reboot, it will work properly.
i think its working now as its shown in the screenshot..
it took like 6-7min to boot after flashing it.. is this normal?
will rebooting take longer now after installing xposed? or its just the first boot?
one more thing, what are the best modules for nougat?
and thanks all of you for help!

Is V4A working on 10.3.7?

Does anyone know how to get Viper4Android working on 10.3.7?
I updated from 10.3.5 and I remember I had problems installing it on there too and I had to force stop the app before it would work each time. I've updated V4A to the 2.7.2.1 version through magisk and it just says Status: Abnormal, am I supposed to use a different one or?
If anyone knows, thanks
Use magisk for v4A
"I've updated V4A to the 2.7.2.1 version through magisk"
Has anyone managed to make it work? I'm installing it for the first time on 10.3.7 using magisk and I'm also getting the Status: Abnormal message.

Hello guys,
So what I think that might prevent V4A to be working is having the latest version of Magisk installed. I had the same issue as you guys till I reverted back to Magisk v21.0 from v21.1.

Thanks for the shout, Mr. Freebird. So yeah I guess it is a problem with new versions of Magisk. I tried on the newest update as well, 21.2, and still couldn't get it to work.
For Julortiz and anyone needing help getting it to work again, the exact steps I did were
- Downgrade Magisk to 21.0
- Download V4A 2.7.2.1 from Magisk and open the app but do not install driver yet
- Go back to Magisk and install Audio Modification Library but do not let Magisk reboot
- Go back to V4A and let it install the driver and reboot
- After reboot, open V4A, go to settings and check Legacy Mode
- Enjoy
Also this is probably really obvious, but make sure you screenshot or take note of all other modules you have installed because downgrading will delete all modules. Again this is probably obvious, just don't be dumb like me and lose all your other modules lol
