Hi guys. Before mate 10 pro I had op5 8/128 and it was very good phone. Now I have a mate 10 pro and I'm very happy with it.great camera, screen, battery etc.
You thing is worth to sell mate 10 pro and buy op6 8/256?
Can't decide what to do...

Mise à part Treble , je ne vois pas l'interet de passer du MAte 10 pro au OP6
Stick with the Mate10, MUCH superior phone, for the money, than the Oppo OnePlus6 phone.
The OP6, will as all their other phones, be saddles with out the door bugs that require time and numerous
updates to get working, if at all, not to mention goofy hardware problems like the 5 had with the upside
down screen.

That's interesting. I'm looking to get a new phone and am looking at either the op6 or mate 10. They both have their advantages but the mate 10 seems better. Why are you looking to switch?

Im very happy with mate 10 pro. Don't know yet.. Maybe cuz it will be more difficult to sell it later on..

I'm switching from the P20 Pro. As much as I love the camera and dual speakers I just can't stand the software and and lack of community that comes with owning a Huawei device. Not to mention the painfully annoying process to get updates in a timely manner, other countries already had several and I have had nothing, despite some annoying bugs that need fixing.
Not that it's a bad phone, it's just not a fast and smooth enough experience for me. Pixel and Oneplus devices offer a better software experience and that means more to me than the camera.
Everybody has different requirements from their devices though. You can't really go wrong with any of the flagships these days. You just have to weigh up what's more important for your particular needs.
Why you will switch to OP6? It's a big downgrade.
You will get 256GB but with USB 2.0, mono speaker, smaller battery, longer screen, no IP, no IR and more

Because most of those features mean very little to me. USB 2.0 does the job, all I need is to transfer my stuff and I'm good to go. Its not something I'll use every day. The speakers I agree, I will miss them a little, but other than my ring tone and the odd YouTube video I don't use them all that much either. I have very good Sony wireless headphones for all my audio needs.
The battery life on Oneplus devices has always been pretty good. As long as it gets me through the day that's all that matters. With dash charge, it isn't much of an issue if I do need a top up from time to time.
No IP...yeah. Not really something essential. It's just another spec to please the spec geeks lol. How often do you go swimming with your phone? I have had mobile phones since they were first available to the consumer market and have never been silly enough to drop my phone in a pool of water. The Oneplus 6 has adequate water protection for real life day to day scenarios like rain and spilling a drink etc.
IR, people actually still use these things?
To me, phones have peaked hardware wise and design wise. There isn't really anything that hasn't already been done. The past few years has shown refinement in already available hardware features rather than anything new or particularly necessary. There isn't much between the flagships hardware wise.
So it all comes down to software. As that's the heart of the user experience and something that has been so important to Apple over the years in terms of it's success.
Huawei doesn't do this very well sadly, neither does Samsung. The Pixel is still pretty much the best experience you can get when it comes to android and it still matches any of the new gen devices, simply because of the software experience and the regular updates.
Oneplus is close, it's got decent hardware and good software and the updates are regular plus the dev community is fantastic. That's rare these days. It's what XDA is all about.
At around half the price of other flagships it can't be beaten. So I'll be selling my overpriced phone while it still has market value and getting a phone with far better support and a better user experience.
What you talking about? The price is good? S9 is 529€, Mate 10 Pro 499€, OnePlus 519€ in 64GB. There is no "good price", it's not cheap anymore and the battery was never good, SOT of 4-5h, 7h with wifi and looking videos, it's Amoled. The speaker is crap, when you calling, not to listen music over the phone.
Almost stock Android, true but this is it. USB 2.0 don't mean just speed, no HDMI over Type C is a other example.
The Mate 10 Pro works perfekt and is unreal fast. Compare to the 5T it's almost the same, the camera is a other world.
The community gets smaller and smaller, because a lot don't care anymore about OnePlus. You pay almost the same price and get what? Over a day I get 7h SOT, with OnePlus I will not get 5h SOT. I think you already have choice to buy OP6.
OOS vs EMUI
BT 4.2 vs 5.0
SD 845 VS kirin 970
camera - i think op6 is up there with the p20 pro
speakers - meh i use bt speakers anyway.
battery - 700mah more on p20pro/m10p 4000 vs 3300 but in reality EMUI sucks that extra 700mah for its NPU and bloat services running 24/7
IR blaster is nice, who actually uses it?
headphone jack vs no headphone jack
huawei planning to overthrow google
oneplus planning to collaberate with google
you pick.
I also have a mate 10 pro and I love it. Battery life is stupid good. Ir blaster which actually I use quite a bit. It's fast. Good enough screen. Plus you can turn your TV into desktop mode which is pretty Cool. The only thing i want is being able to run custom roms. Don't get me wrong, emui is fast but I like all the little features oneplus has. I had the oneplus 1, 3t and Sony xz premium. Then I got the mate 10 pro. I love the phone just wish I could throw a custom rom on.
Ive had a mate 10pro but I give up instead of op6.
Im happy with it first for my solved android car working and second for google assistant
So you guys recommend me not to switch over op6?I saw that night photos from op6 are not so good...

I think we have our wires crossed, I never owned a Mate 10. I have the P20 Pro. That cost me £800 while the Oneplus was just over £500. I would never have bought a Mate 10.
Never used HDMI. All my stuff is modern, I can wirelessly stream my content. What's good for you isn't necessarily what's good for me.
The speaker is fine when I'm calling, not sure what you mean by that. Can't say I notice much difference in calls when changing phones every year. They are all adequate.
It's a big community my friend, why are you on XDA if that's not important to you? This is a development forum. Something you'll not get with a Huawei device. That's important to me.
My own experience shows that the Huawei P20 Pro isn't a good experience software wise. I have lags and stutters and it's just not up to par for my needs. Especially for gaming. With no update in sight for the issues I have.
Why are you here posting in the Oneplus section if you are so against them? I don't get it. It's like you are very defensive about the phone you have. I'm loyal to nobody. I just get what's suitable to my needs and getting updates and support is one of them.
Be happy with what you have but don't come here telling people what's right for them. I'm not posting in the P20 forum about the Oneplus. I'm swapping my phone and that's the end of it. Lol.
I'm still with mate 10 pro. Can't decide what to do...

What do you guys think is better pixel xl or mate 9? I currently have a pixel xl 128gb and I am not really enjoying it too much.
Both good phones but for better support stick with the XL but if you didn't have the XL I'd say get the Mate 9. Both great devices. Can't go wrong with either one. Mate 9 battery is better and sound. Screen and camera are better on the Pixel. That's the main gains and trade offs between them both.
The Mate 9 offers an expansion slot for micro sd cards and has an infrared port for controlling your TV etc.
Mate 9. Buying new Nexus device upon release hasn't been fun since nexus 4 for me. I normally wait a year or so till price drops.
Pixel xl
The most important feature for me is screen real estate so the Mate 9 takes the crown.

There's really no competition for it right now
Pixel XL camera is only good with HDR enabled. Otherwise, its a piece of trash tbh. It lacks OIS so its not good. I had Pixel XL for 1 month, its good in network reception when compared to Samsung devices. Camera is debate able. I looked into Huawei mate 9, and its amazing device! It has strong network chip that supports LTE cat 12/13, similar to pixel xl and g5. Mate 9 has more bands enabled for WCDMA and LTE. For me, $1K CAD price, i would pick mate 9 since its android, or iphone 7 plus (if i didn't hate IOS and closed ecosystem).
Pixel XL isn't worth such a high price, if you look at it objectively, its just not.
But do your research and see what you prefer, in terms of usage and what not. For general to enthusiastic users, mate 9 or oneplus 3T are good devices.

I use both on a daily basis. Pixel XL 128gb is my personal phone, Mate 9 is work issued.
Since you posted in the Mate 9 forum, you will get a lot of Mate 9 love. And I understand that because I love my Mate 9 too. I love both the Pixel XL and the Mate 9. When you say that you are not enjoying it too much, do you mean that you are bored with it? Because I am too. I guess that is what Vanilla Android is. But the Pixel will always be the better phone. The fact that it is pure Vanilla Android, the smoothness of its UI and will always be in the latest version is what you paid for. The camera is rated best camera by every single reviewer, and even in my own comparison. Screen is sharper, specially if you use daydream which the Mate 9 isnt compatible with. And even if it is compatible, its screen PPI wont be as enjoyable as the Pixels. You get unlimited full res photo backup (which is a pretty big deal for me as I have moved my entire lifes photo collection to Google Photos)
Yes im bored with the Pixel too. When I got the Mate 9 it was like a breath of fresh air. Screen is bigger and the UI seems to be more "colorful". Camera is also pretty good. But the Pixel will still best it. After the honeymoon phase of my new Mate 9, it got boring too. As with every device I own. In my opinion, battery is better with the Mate 9. But not by much. The Pixel already lasts me a whole day. Both are on Android Nougat, but guess who will receive first the next major iteration of Android (O) ? And even Android (P)? You get dual sim support which is nice to have (but doesnt really matter to me as work issues its own phones).
So if I had to choose only 1, id stay with my Pixel XL. The Pixel is the better phone (in my opinion) especially when you take into account its long term use (future upgradeability). But if you are a gadget freak like me and change phones all the time, it probably wont matter. As soon as the next gen Pixel is out ill get my hands on one.

It's not like you can buy a Pixel XL anyway. They haven't been in stock since November and won't be in stock again until March. By then, a lot of newer phones will be out that blow the Pixel away. If you want a new phone now, the Mate 9 is your choice. It's a solid phone.

I think I'm just bored of it because vanilla Android is plain. I have a Verizon model with locked bootloader which is AWFUL..So can't modify anything.Hopefully someone comes out with a 7.1.1 exploit. I use to have a mate 8 and loved it..Maybe I'll give the mate 9 a try in a month or so

For me it's a no-brainer the mate 9 is the best device to have. I've owned both and I can attest that the mate 9 is a beast of a phone. It has the large screen great camera and great display although it's only 1080p. Feels very good and premium with its all aluminum housing. But what really separates this phone from all the others is really two things the first is the Kirin 960 processor and the 4000 milliamp battery. The processor was able to handle everything that I threw at it even high-end High intensive Graphics games and I had maybe 40-50 apps open at the same time and never experienced a freeze or slow down. But that's not even the best part the best part is that the battery I routinely use my phone at least 40-50 times a day and for long periods and I always got at least a day and a half sometimes two days of use from one charge. And it accomplish this feat by not putting a battery that makes it too bulky or too wide or something like that it's just a regular slim battery and it actually does get you through about 2 days of use. I love the phone and can't wait to purchase the 10 Pro despite the US government's warning. You know what I think about that warning I think it's a bunch of baloney because every single phone that we use whether it's a Samsung or an apple comes from a factory in China they're all made on the same assembly line so don't give me any of this stupid warning stuff.

Agreed, the Mate 10 Pro or the Pixel will be my next phone. I am currently rocking the all black Mate 9, I have no complaints, but the Pixel line up is tempting. I'm keeping my eyes on Swappa and they have 2 Mate 10 Pro for around $550, not bad.
Mentioned this in the 6X forum, but figured I'll ask here, too.
I need a phone for travelling. My main phone is an iPhone 6S, but I want something a little cheaper and with dual SIM support so I can use my normal number with a another SIM whilst abroad. Having used Android way before iPhone, and owning a Shield Tablet and TV, figured it'd be a nice way to get back into Android.
I returned a OnePlus 3T last month because, although good, I didn't like the camera.
So, I'm looking for a budget device, that has a decent spec (occasional gaming) and pretty good camera, fingerprint scanner and possibly NFC for Android Pay. USB-C and fast charge would be nice.
I've been looking at the WileyFox Swift 2 which is about £180. Snapdragon 430, 3GB RAM, fingerprint scanner, NFC, USB-C and quick charge. Low res screen (720), slower CPU and 'okay' camera. Gorilla glass.
£40 more is the 6X, EU version has all of the above, but no USB-C, terrible screen quality in terms of durability and no oleohobic coating. Micro USB. Not sure on CPU performance.
Or the best of the bunch, the Honor 8. Only it's £180 more than the 6X.
Is it worth the price over the other 2, or is there something else I can look at. Xiaomi's seem good, but lack LTE 800mhz / band 20 and no NFC for the global versions of the Redmi Note 4, which ships in March.
The only thing I can say is that the Honor 8 is an amazing device, I got mine for 325€ during a sale and I haven't regretted it...
The camera is amazing! It is so much better than my old Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini, and it can shoot really sharp images (In good lightning)
However if there isn't that much light, images will become a little grainy (As on most smartphones)
Then we have the software... I almost got the Honor 7 in 2015 but I ended up not buying it because of the software (EMUI). But since I got such a great deal on the Honor 8 I decided to actually try it out and I must say EMUI 4.1 which I got the phone with was a lot different from my previous Android experience (Cyanogenmod 13) but it so many good features built in.
And today I got the EMUI 5 update and I must say, it's a lot closer to AOSP and I like it
Also this phone is very fast!
If you can get this phone for under 400€ then it's a great deal! I don't know that much about the other phones mentioned but I really recommend the Honor 8! Hope this helps you decide, if you have any questions regarding the Honor 8 feel free to ask
If you returned the oneplus3T because it wasn't good enough, nothing will please you.
Got myself upgrade from galaxy note 3.
I thought it was fast but honor 8 is faster in all aspects.
This is the best phone I used

Huh? I didn't say it wasn't good enough. Everything other than the camera and mic quality was perfect.
For example. I took a photo of my dog as he was barking for attention, with both my 6S and the 3T. The 6S could capture the photo, the 3T pic was blurred. The only way to remedy this was to use manual mode and increase the shutter speed, and even then, I couldn't use flash. Mic quality in wasn't outstanding in Whatsapp etc.
Fed up with Samsung .
Don't like the narrow display I like big phones I had the 6p previous to the s8.
Is it silly of me to sell the s8 and get a mate 9.
Any model I should look for I like customizing and I'm a UK user on three.
Is the camera on par with s8
What's stabilization like also
Thanks
get iporn X instead. Or LG V30 or wait for Mate 10.
I came from OnePlus 3 and was worried about limited customization, but found with pleasure that Huawei themes are pretty powerful and with Tasker and a bunch of application was able to set up the device as I want without even root.
That said, display, audio and camera of Mate 9 are definitely an improvement from OP3.
Wait for the mate 10. Oct 16th
Can't afford the mate 10 or iPhone x I have a guy offering straight swap for mate 9
I came from the Note 3 and love the Mate 9. Its hardware is great. The only downside for me with the Mate 9 and any phone that is not hugely popular is the lack (relatively speaking) of custom ROMs, tweaks, etc. However, since the bootloader is locked on the Samsung phones you dont have a lot of options anyway so by comparison the Mate 9 is very customizable. I have zero regrets with the Mate 9. In terms of waiting for the Mate 10, it is not clear to me that it will offer enough difference over the Mate 9. Frankly, if I could do it all over again, I would wait until close to the Mate 10 launch and pick up a Mate 9 at an ever lower cost than it is now.
thanks to be honest my s8 is the exynos version so its quite customisable apart from no lineage or aosp.
phone is far too narrow for my liking.
will be the owner of a mate 9 tomorrow anything i should look out for?
The camera on the S8 is better in low light. Also the video will be better, better OIS and the formats are YouTube friendly. The Mate 9 shoots in an advanced format that Google do not like...
I came from a note 4 and S7 edge. Still have my note 4 but this mate 9 is one of the best phones I've ever had. It's just a beast. Battery life, the flow of menus and the overall ROM for me is so good I've not customised. Love it. Also the feel is great, nice and square screen, fills firm and robust.
I agree. I came from Samsung to this phone and I love it and am glad 9 made the choice

If you can wait another month or so get the Mate 10, if not Mate 9 is still plenty IMO, the camera has tons of settings that could overwhelm an average consumer, however for me myself I'm a photographer so it won't be an issue, been happy with the overall performance of the camera, the phone alone is good enough for my needs, yeah I could've waited for the Mate 10 but I couldn't and the performance is great on this device.
Keep in mind the ROM development for this device lacks big time unlike the 6P, so if ROM development is a must, then look for something else honestly. But EMUI 5 has been serving me pretty well and I'm an avid flasher on here for years and this is the first device that I don't have to root or flash a ROM.
To answer your question, no it wouldn't be silly at least IMO, again wait for the Mate 10 if you have the patience if not get the Mate 9, you won't be disappointed with either
I have used many many phones coming from Motorola, HTC, Samsung, LG I was not very familiar with Huawei. I seen the Nexus 6p in person so the build and quality was definitely just like a Flagship phone. I sold my AT&T S7 which became super buggy and started taking forever to charge.
I got use to wireless charging and the nice cameras of Samsung phones but it was lacking. The screen on the Samsungs are very nice but their software SUCKS AT&T version[laggy]. I decided to get the Mate 9 and I have NO regrets. It comes preinstalled with very little bloatware, its unlocked for GSM carriers. I use it for AT&T and it works great I have 4g LTE. No dropped calls or anything. It has everything you would want in a large phone which is the same size as a IPhone 7 plus. The screen is very bright and sharp like you would expect [nexus 6/htc m8]. The phone comes with a 4,000mah battery which last literally all day and does not take very long to charge with supercharge. It does not quickcharge on Quickcharge brick adapters you'll need the stock oem charger/wire. The speakers are super loud and very treble heavy not too much on the bass. The screen response is good and the vibration and feedback works great. If you just want a phone that has good speakers, big battery, big screen, fast fingerprint scanner, IR blaster, quick UI, no BS 16:9 ratio get this phone. You can use this phone all day and not worry about charging it. Build quality is top notch also like Apple, HTC.
Got a mate 9 now very impressed at the moment now I just need to root it
Thank you everyone for being helpful.

Hello
I have a 2.5 year old Nexus 5x and am seriously thinking about getting a new phone. I've narrowed it down to two choices.
The Oneplus 6 (8gb/128gb) that I could get for around 550€ with the student discount. The phone is everything I ever wished for, except for the camera, which I fear might be a downgrade from Nexus 5x and the not so good customer service.
The other one is Huawei p20 pro, which I could get for 570€ from my carrier. It is a great phone, but I really dislike the EMUI. I was not very impressed with the camera (I've seen some mixed reviews from people). Hardware is amazing, but I really dislike their postprocessing (the oversharpening and oversaturated colours) and I've read that gcam port is probably unlikely because of the Kirin processor. I also don't know how Huawei phones hold out long term (speed, lagging, software updates...).
I plan to keep the phone for 2-3 years. Things that are important to me are stock software and I also want a good camera (at least on par with my nexus 5x). I don't game and I mostly use the phone for calling, texting, listening to music, taking pictures and browsing the internet. It is important to me that the phone stays fast and doesn't lag throught it's lifetime and that it gets enough software updates.
Any insight would be appreciated.
Edit: Decided to go with the Oneplus 6. Thank you all for your answers!
I'm having both of them, and boy.. You can't imagine how much I hate EMUI. It's a nice phone, I rly like the Twilight color with the Black frame (switched the Backcover) but it's a pain to flash, stock EMUI looks like **** and overall I'm just enjoying my OP6 way more then I do the P20 Pro. The Camera ain't that bad, but compared to the P20 Pro it's quality is just poor. But that's a thing I can safely survive with.
Had a P10 Pro and EMUI is simply horrible. I put it up against my 5t and the 5t won. I also recall reading that they no longer allow you to get an unlock code for the bootloader.
I have both devices as well. The camera on the p20 pro is definitely knock out, but if you value software experience at all, you'll hate it. EMUI is a clunky mess. Updating the device is a pain, it's really heavy handed with closing background apps (Android messages for web won't run consistently, for example) and in general, it's ugly imo.
I carry the oneplus 6 each day because I enjoy using it. I have been switching sims each weekend when I value pictures of my kids, etc. Ultimately, it'll find it's way to eBay.

Try selling on Swappa. I've sold 6 phones though them in the last year and much better than eBay. I think I sold every one of my phones in less than a week.
Emui is not the end of the world. If you dislike it I would pick the OnePlus device. Btoh have pros and cons though. Huawei latest flagships don't have the slowdown like samsungs. So you can get the bells and whistles plus a consistent experience. Most importantly comparable battery with all the extras.
Like most Chinese oem's they all want to be apple/Samsung.
OnePlus is stockksh on a 1080p panel with the best hardware a available. So of course it's fast. Average device across the board. Biggest pro is extra hour of sot vs most phones(heavy user). Root and dev community.
Huawei will not be giving out bootloader codes after July(google actual date) but stock Android is available for a good majority of devices if interested.
op6 > p20 pro
my p20 pro got sluggish AF a month after usage.
op6 remains fast as day 1
I've seen videos of severe scrolling lag in basic apps like contacts on p20. It seems like EMUI has some issues it needs to work out first.
I just sold my p20 after using it for just a few hours LTE speeds were slower (55mpbs vs OP6 pulling 78mbps). As well as a bug utilizing the navbar on the device was buggy. When you enable navbar, it doesn't disable the fingerprint sensor from acting like a home button....so you have two home buttons side by side.
I would like to add that the costumer service is incredible (at least if you are a European citizen). I was never a fan of Samsung's/Huaweis aftersale support since it took me once 3 weeks to change the display of an SG S6.
Changing the display and the back cover of the OP3 costed me approximately 130€ with free DHL Express shipping. It took 3 working days until it was in GER again. I shipped it on Monday(early) and received the repaired smartphone on Wednesday evening (express courier).
For the software part: You will have 2 major updates and 36 months security updates (check your for reference: https://www.google.de/amp/s/www.xda-developers.com/oneplus-software-maintenance-schedule/amp/ )
Google port and custom roms is a big plus for the OP6. Camera is more then decent, it won't produce pictures like the Pixel 2, but the white balance / colour profile is pretty good ( maybe a bit to satured reds/orange - if you want to be very picky).
Overall i would go for the OP6 anytime.
I've owned a Huawei Mate 9 Pro, an Huawei Mate 10 and an Honor View 10. This must tell you that EMUI isn't as bad as all that. It isn't really.
The cameras and the camera software are outstanding. They even put my current Samsung S9+ to shame.
My concerns were :
Software updates - not too frequent, plus they like to 'authorise' a device for an update. Unlike OP where you can just use a VPN and get the update regardless of where you are, here you have to wait for authorisation or 'pay' and get the update from Funky Huawei.
I found on occasion, that despite some settings, things like some background apps were being killed or frozen. Stuff like Android Wear or the ThreeInTouch Wifi app. Some widgets wouldn't update. I don't think, going forward that Huawei are going to let you unlock bootloaders.
If you value a simpler OS that is updated and easy to root, unlock the bootloader and camera is secondary - get the OP.
If you adore having excellent photos, then get the P20 Pro - you won't regret it.
If the only thing concerning you about the OP6 is the camera (in comparison to 5X) - having both devices I can reassure you OP6 camera is miles better than Nexus 5X. And I wouldn't suggest buying Huawei to anyone. I think the oneplus offers the most nexus like software experience between all the OEM's right now
I can't speak about the P20 but I had a Mate 10 Pro and I sold it as I just didn't like EMUI at all. Compared to OOS it's just bad.
You'll better software support on the OnePlus 6. Huawei's software support track record isn't great. P20 Pro probably won't see Android P till Early 2019. OnePlus are offering Android P Betas right now.
From the comparisons I've seen online. The OnePlus 6 is faster, more RAM, camera is pretty even with both winning over the other in different situations.
The OS is great superior over EMUI and you will get update after update with OnePlus. The development community is far superior and of course insane battery with the fastest charging available with OnePlus dash charging.
I have the OnePlus 6 obviously, but faster phone, faster charging, stock like OS great camera and better support with updates and now OnePlus has come out and confirmed... 2 years OS updates and 3 YEARS security updates. It's a no brainier in my opinion.
Thank you all for your answers! I ordered the 1+6 today together with the nylon case. Really excited for it to come.
I got an Xperia 1 for £500 and a OP7 Pro 12Gb model for £550, I should receive both tomorrow and sell one of them later, just really unsure which one to sell, I know tomorrow I'll have a better perception, but at the moment, I can't make up my mind, why I should keep one over the other, they both have stock Android, Sony's has very fast security updates, almost on point with the Pixel phones, and that 4K screen should be amazing, now the OP7 Pro, has an amazing dev community, no features lost if bootloader is unlocked, like on Sony phones, all screen design (unsure how I feel about this though, not having where to hold can be annoying, had that issue with the Vivo Nex 2), 90Hz display (but my eye can't see the difference, had the Razor Phone 2, which has a 120Hz display and not that big of a difference in my eyes) and bigger battery (again, reviews say that at 90Hz it drains pretty fast). Did not mention cameras or fingerprint sensors, because both seem to be on par, in-display fingerprint are a bit meh, curious to see how good the OP7 Pro is though, because the ones I've tried, still make me miss the old school fingerprint readers on the back and the Sony side mounted fingerprint is also meh.
Considering the prices I got them for, which one would you guys keep and reasons, would really appreciate your opinions on this.
Have a great day everyone.

Regarding 4k - I came to my OP7Pro from my XZ Premium. Sony isn't bad, but it's not as good as OnePlus. I haven't used 4K even once. It was completely useless. Heck, I intentionally forced my OnePlus to stay on FHD. My battery life is beyond 6h SOT. All day battery. It's amazing. Warp charge works, it's real. It's amazing. I don't know what you're talking about with 90hz. I can see the difference. The moment I looked at a high refresh rate screen I saw the fluidity. I'd keep the OP7P, but both options are definitely great. You can't go wrong with either option.
The moment I saw a 90hz screen I decided that I will never again purchase a device with less than 90 Hz (even better with 120hz). So it would be a no brainer for me.

Thanks for the reply guys, it must be my eyes then, they had better days, I had correction surgery a couple of years ago, they must have messed up something xD
I understand that 4K is only seen in 4K photos/videos, so I agree that it is not a real plus. when I have both in front of me I'll share my experience.
The Pro is the way to go...if you like it! Cheers

I have had both for over a month, sell the Xperia 1, trust me
I had an Xperia 1 for 5 days before I returned it and got this, I can assure you this is a decision that you will not regret. I have been an Xperia fan boy for the last 6 years since the first Xperia z came out in 2012. Sony have also ruin to find by putting DRM keys on the devices and you will lose major functionality if you unlock the bootloader... With the oneplus all is good with unlocking the bootloader and you can be anything you wish on the phone. although it hurts my heart from the inside Xperia one has got nothing on the oneplus 7 pro the device did not just feel right and was hard to use for me. it appealed to me in the slightest and everything that oneplus 7 pro has overwhelms the Sony Xperia 1.
I don't find it aesthetically pleasing too,Not Sure about this one but they always lacked in Camera Department too
Guys Do Find 60 hz to be more choppy than other 60 hz display or ist it just me? The screen on my iPhone Xs Max seems more fluid & responsive than Op7 Pro when 60 hz is selected
Quick update, I received the OP7 Pro 4 hours ago, the Sony seems to be delayed with DHL, so probably just tomorrow now. OP7 Pro so far seems very nice, the case that comes with it unfortunately peels off the screen protector when it's on, I guess the screen protector that comes pre installed it is not centred, so, on the top right corner, the case is peeling the screen protector, I'm using it without a case now, it's the same size as my Note 9, so not a big issue, the Note 9 does have a better grip though, the OP7 curves more then the Note 9 and that makes it less grippy, if that makes sense. Also tested the app drawer on the Note 9 vs OP7 Pro and I can see the 90Hz now side by side, but I think I can still go back to a 60Hz display, it's not that of a big deal IMO.
I'll do some more testing tonight, maybe some night shots if I have time, between the Note 9 and the OP7 Pro let me know if you want to info in a Note 9 vs OP7 Pro.
Sure Why Not....Can You compare both on 60 hz,The Thing I mentioned above

So setting up the OP7 to 60Hz and comparing to the Note 9, both look the same, iPhones do have higher sensitivity, so it appears smother, but 60Hz on Android seems to be the same on the OP7 Pro and Note 9.

EBay, as typical Sony phones, they drop price very fast, have a look there and you'll see
Typing this on the Xperia 1 and it's so comfortable compared to the OP7 Pro, the slim design is awesome...
I would pick the oneplus 7 pro. But that's just my personal opinion. I have and s10+ and this 7 pro and my sim is in the oneplus 90% of the time, the 90hz screen really is amazing and it is very noticeable when going to a non 90hz phone

Dayium! And I thought Sammy phones depreciated quickly. Nice deal!
I would pick the Xperia and sell me the OnePlus
Nah the OnePlus is the way to go..
Need t get one myself.
I won't go to anything less than 90hz after using the OP7 pro. Simple as that.
Took a photo of my living room with artificial lighting, the colours are more natural on the Sony and quality is about the same on both, keep in mind this is with the stock camera, didn't have time to install GCam, but it's running the latest OOS.
