[] SM-J700P SELinux Permissive Kernel - Samsung Galaxy J7 Questions & Answers

Does anyone happen to have a permissive kernel for J700P 7.1.1 STOCK? Or know if it can be put in permissive by setenforce? The link for the one I did find is down. Thanks for any help!

I need this too..

How much trouble would it be to compile it for 7.1... I saw one for MM but none for N. I would try to compile myself but Snicker would be out by then.

It would take some work to reset samsung selinux commits and force permissive mode.

You can use an app with stock kernel but you must be rooted, permissive state cannot be achieved without it

You can't change SELinux to permissive or disabled on Samsung device with stock kernel, even if your device rooted.

[DEV] DT2W for X520x

I began to work on dt2w for x52x . It's based on elementalx dt2w/sw2w gestures. I have also updated the driver (a bit).
https://github.com/mthomos/android_kernel_leeco_msm8976/tree/dt2w
You can compile it ,use it and tell me how it works on your device.
Make a BACKUP first before flashing!
Download : https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B4AOvCehd4v3VU93amRxOTd3SEE
Two options: Kernel with ElementalX wake gestures, repackaged with eui kernel and (eui-dt2w.img) and Kernel with Dt2w of Marlin repackaged with los kernel(marlin-dt2w).
Flash it on top nougat custom roms
To report an issue, share logcat or pstore logs

In a few minutes i will upload the kernel in the OP. Before you flash, make TWRP backup. I am not sure that touchscreen will work flawlessly with this kernel. So flash at your own risk

Right, there haven't really been issues with treble from big manufacturers now has there? Now that Xiaomi is trying to be a bit more competent it's probably proper.

Flash xiaomi eu mi mix 2s twrp through fastboot(https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=818070582850507462), wipe and flash the system image to system.
You can just flash the system image through fastboot, but custom recovery is just more convenient.
Report back.
did you try it ? how much worse is the camera?
Anyone compiled kernel? Custom kernel?
The Android P version has the 4.9.84 but I don't remember if is the same of the MIUI stable, in my opinion the photos looks better with the google camera

Don't know, in DP2 there's only the snapdragon camera but you can install the google one via play store.
It haven't the nexus/pixel features like automatic HDR but it still works better then MIUIs one

Can you post comparison images?(Preferably in a zip archive or something)
And finally Android P source code is available at MiCode GitHub

First build will just make sure the modules load properly and ensure all boots and include wakelock blocker. After that, the fun will begin.

Ok, when I get home to flash it, I never cast any mobile kernel with trebble and partitioned A / B, so I read it has a new toolchain, the commands to compile are the same as for x64 ?, thanks to beforehand, Salu2

Just flashed the zip in twrp then flashed magisk over the top
I dont get IT. I did exactly the same and the Phone soft bricked and booted to bl.
Flashed the kernel, for me it's bootlooping into the bootloader i think i missed something
EDIT: Flashed Magisk 16.4 over it, now it could boot. Got a message: " Internal problem with device, contact the phone manufacturer" or something like that. It's buggy as hell. First boot i could unlock without any issue, but after i locked and try to unlock it reboots.
