there is an twrp recovery for the lg g4 all variants link here
https://forum.xda-developers.com/g4...t-tmo-vzw-intl-variants-soon-root-lg-t3164765
other wise you can try using kingo root but be aware as kingo root is not really trusted but there is a way to remove the kingo root after succesfull root.

I have not done this on my lg g4 AT&T varriant for almost 1 whole year because i hard bricked it by accidently flashing the PR version. Proceed with caution!

Sprint - LG G Flex - LS995ZV9
The LG G Flex from sprint does have a Root checker that detects the method below!
Root Support:
Android Version (4.4.2) Cannot be rooted with the tool below!
Android Versions prior to 4.4.2 are able to achieve root and you can root
If you have Android Version (4.4.2) you must downgrade useing the tools and links below...
Downgrade your Device Rom: Downgrade my Device
If you have Android Version less than 4.4.2 you may skip the above step and go straight into rooting your device use the links below to achieve root!
Root your device: Get Root On my Device
!!!Do NOT use SuperSU to try and keep root with OTA (Over The Air) updates you will break the OTA update and your phone will boot-loop.!!!
If this happens you can use the downgrade tool to re-install the Factory Default ROM.
If the files above no longer download you may use this: on my website
Hi, I tried to root my device many times and I have the same result with each try ( root fai code 0x174B87) with kingoroot , I cant root my at&t device SGS4 (I9505xxUFNB) "4.4.2 kitkat" , I dont know how to deal with this problem but I hope u find one and help me , I suffered from along time ago hoping to root my device

i9505 is not the ATT version, it is the international version. If it is indeed the i9505 version, then just use Chainfire's CF Auto Root package or put Chainfire's SuperSU zip on your phone and use Odin to install TWRP recovery, reboot directly to it before it boots to the OS and install the zip.
I hace tried every single method and it seems its impossible to root 5042T running 4.4.4 KitKat... Any help will be apriciated.:crying:
Been trying to root mine for some time too, tried all the app ones(kingroot ect), even desktop versions and no luck. Would appreciate some help too.
I need help with this as well.
I found out that the latest firmware blocks root. I successfully rooted mine with Kingroot for the A3CUMC1 firmware. You need to downgrade the firmware then apply root.
it's easy to root 5042t
it's easy to root 5042t
1) KingRoot-5.0.5.apk
2) after rooting reboot and install other version of KingRoot-4.8.1-136.apk, reboot
3) then install SuperSUme-6.7.0-Pro.apk and it will remove KingRoot exchanging it on SuperSU
4) then apdate SuperSU till SuperSU-2.78-2-Pro.apk
5) Plus it's not bad after all to install BusyBox-51-Pro.apk and ADB-Insecure-2.00.apk and Apps2SD-12.6Pro.apk

You can't flash that .kdz because it's not for Boost, and the method to write to the system.img for 5.1.2 won't work for 6.0 (for whatever reason). As of right now your only option is to send it to LG. We have a locked bootloader (apparently a recovery on standby though) and no CM/PAC/PA/etc.
I'm on the same boat, any solution yet?

There are no less than 3 threads dedicated to rooting this device on Marshmallow that are tested and working... did all of them not work for you?
Yeah bro there is such kind of problem on rooting stock marshmallow ROM but I used kingroot v 4.8.2 for rooting if your bootloader is unlocked.

Never use a one-click root method on a Moto unlocked device... Seen way to many bricked devices, always root manually.
It is easy to find, there is a thread in my signature.

If you have current SuperSU and TWRP, and use the echo command to create /data/.supersu it will work, if it isn't please go to thread in my signature and provide details including:
1) Device model and Android version
2) TWRP version
3) SuperSU version
4) Output of 'cat /data/.supersu' from TWRP terminal
And a copy of recovery.log if possible, without more specific information there is nothing that I can do to assist you.
