Hello,
Since I have not seen any custom ROM for this device and was unhappy with the stock rom I decided to port LineageOS to this device. It's a "dirty" port if you will (using those simple "porting guide" threads on XDA) and no kernel decompiling or anything more than copying and editing text files was done to make this ROM.
I ported a Vernee Apollo Light version of LineageOS 13 to this device because the hardware is very similar to that of the HT10. All credits go to the people who ported it to the Vernee Apollo Light, I just forgot which site I got it from (maybe from an XDA thread, maybe from other download sites, I can't remember).
I guess I made this thread in hopes of getting some other HT10 owners to try themselves as developers in order to have a bigger selection of custom ROMs for this device.
I am not responsible for any damage done to you, your device or anything that might be caused by downloading or flashing this rom to your device. Therefore this disclaimer:
Code:
/*
* Your warranty is now void.
*
* I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
*/
If you somehow brick your device, you can almost always save it using SPFlashtool, because it can flash to the device without even needing to turn the device on. So you can always flash the stock Homtom firmware even if the screen won't turn on.
Before flashing the ROM:
I recommend you flash this using TWRP, which is available for this device on the internet.
At least, wipe the following partitions before flashing:
- System
- Cache
- Dalvik Cache
After flashing my LineageOS ROM you can flash Magisk (at least the beta version 16.4), XPosed framework (systemless) and the ARISE sound mod (Biohazard sound mod worked for me as well, though you shouldn't install both. chose either one and stick with that). Those worked for me, though to get bluetooth audio working I had to flash a zip file containing APT-X and APT-X HD audio codec, and I had to install BTAudio in the XPosed Framework.
What works:
- the above mods/flashables
- WIFI
- Bluetooth (see fix above)
- video playback (youtube)
- telephony (dual sim and calling works, cellular network also works)
What doesn't work:
- camera
Have fun with LineageOS on this exotic device!
It's live now! Just go to the following link:
Download Link :- https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=11410963190603911454
Edit 2: DualbootPatcher works with the right configs:
If you add the following line to the dualbootpatcher's "devices.json" (just be sure to put a comma between the last entry and this one; I use Notepad++) you can patch this rom using the dualbootpatcher program (I used the windows program).
Code:
{"id":"HT10","codenames":["HT10"],"name":"Homtom HT10","block_devs":{"cache":["/dev/block/platform/mtk-msdc.0/11230000.msdc0/by-name/cache","/dev/block/mmcblk0p28"],"system":["/dev/block/platform/mtk-msdc.0/11230000.msdc0/by-name/system","/dev/block/mmcblk0p27"],"base_dirs":["/dev/block/platform/mtk-msdc.0/11230000.msdc0/by-name"],"data":["/dev/block/platform/mtk-msdc.0/11230000.msdc0/by-name/userdata","/dev/block/mmcblk0p29"],"boot":["/dev/block/platform/mtk-msdc.0/11230000.msdc0/by-name/boot","/dev/block/mmcblk0p21"],"recovery":["/dev/block/platform/mtk-msdc.0/11230000.msdc0/by-name/recovery","/dev/block/mmcblk0p1"]},"architecture":"arm64-v8a","boot_ui":{"supported":true,"flags":["TW_QCOM_RTC_FIX"],"pixel_format":"RGBA_8888","max_brightness":255,"default_brightness":162,"graphics_backends":["fbdev"],"theme":"portrait_hdpi","brightness_path":"/sys/class/leds/lcd-backlight/brightness"}}
I was able to patch this rom as "primary" rom and flash the resulting zip. It booted just fine.
Edit: I made a pull request on Github to get this config incorporated in the official dualbootpatcher configs.

This is a port of CM10.2 which was compiled from source by @chrmhoffmann for Wiko Stairway.
This is the lastest build, we can't fix these bugs unless someone tries to compile from source for our device for which I think we don't have sources.
Please Note: Don't ask why X is not working? Can you fix it? I probably can not fix anything, as this is not a source build for our device. It is just a port. If the ported rom gets updated with fixes, I will port again.
This was ported for Cubot gt99. But it can probably be flashed to gt99's clones, Cherry Mobile Apollo and XYZ X1.

Hey Guys,
So I was searching for a CyanogenMod Rom for the Galaxy ACE 3 the Broadcom model (3G) and after searching for some long time i found out that a CyanogenMod 11 Rom is actually available but it wasn't on XDA Forums so i thought of sharing it with you guys, of course i am not the developer of this Rom. Full credits goes to ZIM555. I just wanted to share it with everyone (I hope there is no problem with that if so please close this thread). The source from where i have discovered it from is in Russian so ill just translate it for you guys.

thread updated please take a backup of your efs partition now
you can install it on dual sim variant as well
here is a video for this rom and if you want to install it follow my steps in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0EPRwEbFh7w
Thanks for making this ROM available in English.
The original Russian thread has added 70 pages since this link was posted. Is there an updated ROM in one of the newer posts? Has the offline charging problem been fixed? By offline charging, I presume you mean billing, not battery charging.
Status says Bluetooth is working, but on my phone the toggle won't stay on. After sliding it to the "on" position, it quickly retracts to the "off" position. Has anyone else had this problem?
I need a google cloud platform account. I can't port Lineage 14.1 with my slow connection and pc. Just give me any account that registered there. I will start porting.

Preface:
Thanks in no small part to the awesome help from Tim Graham of the AOSPA-team, I was able to compile an unofficial build of Paranoid Android 8.0.0-DEV (Android 8.1)
for the Sony Xperia X Compact (kugo/f5321). I've been using it for a couple of days now without running into any (rom-specific) issues yet.
I've asked Tim if he didn't mind me posting the rom here and he gave the go ahead. So here we go!
Installation instructions:
* Backup important files beforehand just in case something goes awry.
* Wipe System, Cache and Data.
* Install zip-file with TWRP.
* Unzip and then flash Sony's ODM-image (v15) to the oem-partition using fastboot:
Code:
fastboot flash oem SW_binaries_for_Xperia_Android_8.1.6.4_r1_v15_loire.img
What works:
* Data (2G/3G/4G/LTE)
* Wifi
* GPS
* Encryption
* Bluetooth
* Fingerprint sensor
* Camera
* Torch
* GApps (Open GApps 8.1 pico)
* Magisk (16.4)
Known issues:
* Boot animation is partly distorted (Needs to be addressed by Sony)
* Night Mode doesn't work (Needs to be addressed by Sony)
* The occasional battery drain (Same as with other custom oreo roms. Mine seem prevalent whenever cell reception is spotty)
If you come across any bugs, please feel free to report them here. I am not the developer, but our feedback might contribute to making a better eventual official version of this ROM.

Thanks for keeping XC alive. I haven't been too interested in Android since finding Sailfish, (especially since there's been so little activity here), but might bounce back to check this out.
Has anyone already testet whether Car Bluetooth is working? Does encryption work?
Thanks for any replies in advance.
Encryption works. I can't say for sure car bluetooth works. The bluetooth devices I use (heart rate monitor and earbuds) do work though.

When tried to flash with TWRP (wiped everything beforehand), got the following error:
Updater process ended with ERROR: 7
Error installing zip file '/sdcard1/pa_kugo-8.0.0-
DEV-20180507.zip'
Anyone know why this is happening?
Looks like the error is caused by the installation script checking if the rom is suitable for your device and concluding it isn't. What device are you flashing the rom to ?
Is the ROM source private?
No, the source is publicly available on github: https://github.com/AOSPA/manifest
NB: If anyone else is having problems with this rom, your best bet is to try the official rom - which I just saw has been released the 22nd of august:
http://get.aospa.co/official/kugo
I haven't tested the rom myself, but I'm willing to say it's the better choice overall since it is built more recently and therefore probably has a more up to date security patch level and so on.

X Compact. The device it was supposed to be flashed on.
Hmm, that's strange. I think if you want to try out Paranoid Android, you're better off trying the official rom (which has been released a couple of days ago). If the same error message appears, all I can think of is maybe TWRP somehow doesn't report the correct brand/model of the phone..
Official rom looks good too.
I can't open my camera app. I'm using the official rom. Someone has this problem too?
Yes also the case for me (the screen stays black until I close the camera app), this wasn't the case with my unofficial build of the rom (although I tested with a much older version of the oem partition - I think version 11).
I'm not on the rom anymore because it was generally laggy and no music app would play music. I didn't bother to investigate further because for me the music app is pretty much essential in daily use and just needs to work.
If you want this worked out, your best bet is to contact the developers of the rom at their google plus page:
https://plus.google.com/communities/112514149478109338346
and under 'bug reports' provide them with a log (for example with matlog) for them to dissect.
Hi,
I habe recently flashed the official OA1 ROM of Paranoid Android for my Xperia X Compact and after it finally worked and it had booted I noticed some difficulties with the Bluetooth. It stops submitting the sound to various Bluetooth devices (headphone, music box) where this never happened before. (Side note: the 7.1.3. Official PA ROM features no bluetooth at all, at least not on my device.) Sometimes even the Bluetooth deactivated itself fully. After turning it back on, it would pair again but mostly after a few seconds stop delivering the sound to the devices. Is there a way to fix it? I'd love to hear your ideas to it.

Hi,
was it due to lack of integration with the SD card? Because with mine in the official OA1, I do not have problems with the music directly, it plays (not m4a though), and I CAN show the contents of the SD card but other apps than the file manager cannot access the SD card. It is possible for me to play individual Songs via VLC though. I'd be thankful for your ideas in this.
