idk but for some reason apps that would have casting don't on this phone. I can't cast twitch I can't cast pluto.tv. it seems it's only Google related things only . is this just me?
Mine is working ok but when the screen is off and phone goes deep sleep it stops... The only workout i know is to keep the screen on. Any ideas?

Already did (ignore battery optimization and manual launch)... When I'm not casting it's ok. When I cast to my tv it stops when the phone goes deep sleep...

Also, turning on the lock screen hotword detection - will this destroy my battery life, or will it be negligible?
It´s nothingfor the Batterie. You can turn it allways on.

Erm... If our Z3 is "always listening", it cannot switch to "CPU sleep mode" as it's CPU is constantly busy with analyzing audio streams.
So there MUST be a noticeable impact on battery life.

OK Google does not work when the display is off, so it can go into deep sleep. I use it and have not noticed significant battery drain
'Always' is a little misleading. It's only listening when the screen is on and unlocked.

Not quite true. It is ALWAYS listening when the screen is on. Mine works even from the lockscreen, if you change the language to English US the options are enabled in the "OK Google" detection settings.

Ah, I see !
Didn't have the chance of trying out myself, even after using "Ok Google everywhere" and switching the main language to English and activating the feature in the options; just did not work.
But if it doesn't work with the screen off, I don't see too much sense in it: I regard that "always listening" feature as a nice add-on if you're wearing a headset, allowing you to keep the phone in your pocket. As this does not work, I can easily live without it.

But how about this, when I have it in my car attached to a Bluetooth speaker and on charge, I can leave the screen on and use OK Google from the lockscreen without having to touch the phone, hence I am not breaking any UK driving laws which basically say you cannot touch the phone to operate it, you need a full handsfree kit (Including when dialing and answering, not just speaking)
I have started getting a problem with the auto brightness switching itself off.
I keep switching it back on and then after a periods of time... Can't be specific but when I come out of an app or having been watching a video and go back to the homescreen it's really bright and the auto setting is off again.

The only reason I know that auto-brightness would be switched off is if an app you installed does it inherently. Maybe you installed a gallery or videos app that turns up the brightness when you view a picture or video?

I had this exact problem. Found a solution here on the forum. If you've installed the Samsung Car App, un-install it. It was causing the auto brightness to turn off automatically.

I don't think stupid, they could of put more ram. But running and having your auto wake will drain your battery. It's annoying having the thing on and it auto wakes when I'm not trying to look at it lol. Honestly while your running, you could turn it off then double press the home button to go right back into your settings window and turn it right back on. Easy peasy

as a "flagship" watch,if it's can auto detect when i'm running. then it's must have auto solution for listening to music well

Lol no problem, also it's not detecting you running but detects that you are raising your arms in an attempt to look and see what time it is/notifications. True the auto detect could be a little better in terms of if your looking at the watch compared to running with it. When you have it turned off, all you have to do is press a button or turn your dial. Good luck!
