Hi
I have a Gear S2 sport watch (not 3G) and as S7 edge phone paired with it, both upgraded to the last available version.
I have not understood how to have the training path map synced with Samsung Health app (of course without having with me the phone during the run).
Steps, distance, speed and hearth rate are correctly synced, but I cannot see the map.
Is there a particular reaons for this or is this an expected behaviour? I thought S2 sport had a GPS module inside. How it measure the speed during running?
Thanks for any possible suggestion.

My S2 and S7 syncd and worked fine until 5/19/2016. Since then, steps and heart rate do not make it over to my S7. Everything else works - notifications, calls, etc... Bluetooth is syncd, just not S Health.
I've unpaired, then paired using the Gear UI. Rebooted the watch and phone.
Anyone know how to get the watch to talk to S Health again?
I'm using an S3 Classic and thinking of getting a Frontier as well (wanted a Tag Connected Modular 45 but unimpressed with its battery and lack of speaker... Oh and the price). Presumably I can connect both to the Gear app on my Note7 but will both have full functionality and all apps and will it just be a case of selecting the watch I want to use in the Gear app, switching whenever. Anyone done it?
I have the S3 Frontier LTE and im thinking of getting the classic. Interested to know if 2 watches will work
I'll let you know later. My Frontier should arrive today!
I can confirm that BOTH watches work perfectly. Apps can be installed on both (paid apps work without having to pay a second time). There's a drop down to allow you to select which watch you want to connect to. When selecting the new watch the other one disconnects immediately and the second one connects within a few seconds. There's an automatic connection option which is supposed to connect to the watch being worn but haven't got that to work yet. Maybe it takes a bit of time. So pleased at how easy it is to swap watches.
Further information. There was a software update for the Frontier which I installed. Now, the auto switching works perfectly. Both watches turned on and the phone connects to whichever one you wear. Take the connected watch off, put on the other and hey presto, drops the original connection and connects to the one you are now wearing. Perfect.
This nolonger works. The gear app will prompt you to reset the watch when switching watches. Reset will cause you to lose your downloaded apps, your cards in Samsung Pay and your third party watch faces (like the ones from the watch maker app).
Works for me every time with no issues other than I have to set up Samsung Pay each time.
Correction. Just swooped from Frontier to Classic and back to Frontier (simply by taking one off my wrist and putting the other on) and Samsung Pay still active. So no issues at all.
Hi peeps
I want to get a gear S3 but I already have a Gearfit 2.
I want to use the Gearfit 2 for work and the S3 for and out and about.
One of the concerns I have is I also want to be able to track some steps at work and when I get home use the other watch and continue to count steps from where I was on the other one, like how fitbit do it.
Can that be done?
Huawei Watch 2 Sport not detected as a "heart rate monitor" in Huawei Health app
So I went running today and wanted to try out one of the provided plans which are available in Huawei Health app in the Exercise tab on the bottom, and then after selecting Trained at the top, to be specific the Fat Burning Run - MIIT programme, but it keeps saying that "A heart rate monitoring device is required for this course.". The point is, I have HW2 Sport connected to my phone at all times, synced both in Wear OS app, as well as in Huawei Wear and Huawei Health apps consecutively. Now that I took a look at it, my heart rate is actually being synced to the Health app, as it can be seen on it's Home page, but for some reason doesn't work with their provided workouts. Has anybody ran into similiar issue and perhaps knows a solution to this?
1st post be gentle please.
I have exactly the same issue. The annoying thing is that my wife has a band 2 which I got for £25 on black Friday and it works perfectly. I don't. Understand why Huawei apparently decided not to include the Watch 2 in its list of supported devices as it clearly would work... The fat burning training program on the watch itself (workout app) works perfectly, so why not connected to the phone...? Any ideas please?
Bought a Samsung Galaxy Watch4. (poco X3/NFC MIUI Global 12.5.4/Android 11)
Most of the things work fine but there's one issue:
When starting a walk with Samsung healt app on the watch it wants a gps fix from the phone, but it does not get one, and then it pauzes at about 16 seconds.
Before i had a gear S3 watch with the same problem, wich i fixed by autostart the Wear app, samsung healt app, making sure the had the right permissions, locking them in memomry and no battery restrictions.
Now, with connecting the Watch4 a plugin has been installed, i also did the above things. But still no luck, and also it does not work anymore with the old watch. Does anyone has a solutions for this ?
(Except disconnection the watch from the phone and let it use it own internal gps)

There is an entire thread about this here https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/gps-issues.4417711/page-2#post-87552393
I did not had the time yet to check if enabling location in auto detect mode sorted the issue.
Thanks for guidance. I did but the problem is not solved.
Did not work.
Also check this out (and the comments)
"If you open the workout widget on the watch and choose your workout from there instead of just selecting the run widget, you can see at the top of the screen that GPS and Heartrate are blinking. When they both are solid and you see your heart rate you are ready to press run or walk, etc. That way you know everything is locked in before you start your workout."
The problem is with the internal gps connection of the watch
The Google Fit app uses the phone's GPS
Few people have noticed this problem and Samsung has cleverly avoided fixing it
Has anyone been able to solve the problem?????????

Maybe in your watch, my GPS still works fine.
I don't use Google Fit and I don't exercise/hike with my phone - just the GW4 Classic 42mm.
GPS works fine and tracks/routes are recorded fine (within accuracy of the receiver).
Only existing issue is that auto-detection of exercise (walk/run/cycle) works but does not initiate GPS route recording; you need to start the exercise manually to have route recorded.
Weird, but worked for me>>>
removed original straps from watch
cleaned watch dial
powered off and heated up with hair dryer
powered on in outdoor
and voila!! GPS fixed. i have tracked cycling, running working fine now!
also i have changed straps locations (means, swapped upper and bottom straps)
