[APP] WordPad - Minimal text editor - BETA

I've spent days looking for a decent text editor and had no luck finding one. So I decided to work on my own. Looking for some feedback, I have a big list of features of my own to add too

A quick and easy to use text editor with minimal interface. A minimal interface gives you more space to view and edit your documents. Great for taking notes, todo lists, jot down lecture notes or editing text files.

Edit: Good-looking app

I really like this app, but I have a few comments:
1. I believe you are missing some Intents, as I am unable to select this app to edit a text file.
2. When browsing, shouldn't you allow me to browse outside of the SD card? What about internal and external SD storage?

Is there any limit to file size? Most text editors I've tried have a very small limit to the size if the file.

I definitely encourage your app development and learning. You may want to look at Jota text editor for some feature ideas. It's the app I use for work to type up notes at meetings I go to. Not trying to rain on your parade, just something to look at.
Auto-save, save to SD, being able to save to Unicode-8 and use Unix line endings are all key features I can't live without.

What extensions do you have it set to be able to open?
Also - it's on the portal http://www.xda-developers.com/android/minimalistic-text-editor-for-android/

What I like:
-The UI is very nice.
-It can open 1MB text files and scolling is still very smooth.
-Optional spell checker
What I think should be improved:
-The top bar should always be visible. Or work like the one from Pocket.
-When you open large text files it's next to impossible to use the keyboard. It takes ages until it shows up and then tipping is really laggy.
-An option to switch between a serif and a sans serif font.
When you manage to fix the keyboard problem I would deinstall Jota without a second thought.

Nice clean text creator. I believe it was mentioned above, dosen't seem to be available in app options list as a text editor. Trying to open a created .txt file form Root Explorer defaults to its internal text editor function, with no option to select WordPad as the editor.

Just started using the app. Fast, simple and clean.
The only thing I noticed is that the line numbers don't appear until you actually type in something. The line number column is there on the left side but not the numbers themselves. Is that by design? If I open a log file trying to find the line number of a particular entry I first need to type a space before the line numbers show up.
Other than that nice job.

I have setup the intent to use plan text
android:mimeType="text/plain"
So using solid explorer it works fine, in root explorer it was under (open with > general tab > open as text > wordpad )

I've tried your beta version with Android 4.0 tab (Toshiba AT270). Everything works cool except crop & stretch. App's got crash on those..
hope this would help you to fix the bugs....

Nice app! beta worked fine on all my devices, although without the ability to save with the beta app I found it to be useless to test. It did operate without errors but cannot say it would be flawless at saving images created within the app on any of my devices.

I think this option will be exercised in the future. Could be as
separate live wallpaper application with the Let's 8 bit Art core.

Thank you for your test the app on different devices.
The save functions will appear in the version on Google play this week.

Works great on vibrant Ill wait for the save option I really want to save my animation BTW it may seem out of the box but...... animations as boot animation would be cool I know it has to create a zip and what not but just an opinion

Same thing if I click on a pic in something like Root Explorer. It's this because of what I'm running, or will there be a ffiix for this?

I always use Quickpick, but i like the theming preferences, so let's try it

just installed the application after looking at the xda TV review..
I was using my tablet in landscape mode and I noticed this
the rest of the wizard seems fine, but the two pattern activities are cropped.

yes bro its android lollipop based rom but on top that is miui 9
btw the rom is pretty stable and smooth i had used it as daily driver for more than a week with no problems what so ever and battery backup was also pretty good

hi everyone i just need some help here.. i use this rom for about a couple of weeks.. then i do factory reset due to too much lag in games.. full internal storage.. then after, it says i need to unlock this device.. ofcourse i know the password of my m.i account.. but the problem is not working in wifi were i connected it before so its no wifi connection to verify my account.. i cant open it anymore.. i think to re.flash the rom but i cant turn off the phone.. any help regarding this? thanks in advance

Installed the rom. Got stuck at the ASUS+Android logo screen for about 10 minutes and nothing happened? Should I see any other screen on boot? I clean flashed it. Am I doing something wrong?

When you want to use the com.whatsapp apk with the same number it's not clear. You can just try to install it, there is no risk, but it is recommended to make a clean install (you can backup your chats and restore it in the new app)

There is no difference between the basic idea, but they have some points that are exclusive (look into the change log, everything with the 'exclusive' tag is just available on YoWhatsApp [at the moment of publishing])

GBWhatsapp just added AutoReply with the new update. I am playing with it.

This app uses microphone all the time. after android 8 update I was shocked because I get notifications all the time. Definitely going to delete it
