Downgrade Oreo to Nougat and root - Samsung Galaxy S8+ Questions & Answers

Hi all,
im coming from S5 where everything was easy. Now on my used S8+, Oero was allready installed. After Oreo doesnt seems to be very popular and i havent found a way to root it without a custom kernel and im quite uncertainty on that, im wondering if I can just downgrade to Nougat and root it afterwards with TWRP & CF-Auto-Root.
Downgrading doesnt seems to be a problem, but do i have to consider anything before I go that way?
Got the G955F with Exynos.
Thanks

Root/Downgrade 5.1.1 G920FXXU2BOFJ (Unikernal)

Hi guys, I recently flashed 5.1.1 on my device, (foolishly) thinking that it would get rid of the RAM problem. Unfortunately, it hasn't and I am getting to the end of my tether of all my apps constantly crashing/reloading..
My question today is that is there any possible way I can downgrade or root my 5.1.1 device?
I have checked all the forums and have read through as much as I could, trying to make sense of it all.
I thought I found a solution in Unikeranl, but the problem is, I don't understand what it actually does, as it states that it can root 5.1.1 roms, but for it to work you need to have TWRP which I can't get on my stock device, am I missing something or is there a way for this to work?

How Can I Downgrade Verizon Galalxy S6 from 6.0.1 to 5.0.2?

Hello, due to me having to replace a broken S6 that was running 5.0.2, my new phone was running 5.1.1 by default. When Android M came out, I decided to go ahead and upgrade, hoping for an exploit. However, this hasn't seemed to happen yet. So my question is, since 5.0.2 is the only OS version I know of that can be rooted for my device, is there a way I can downgrade from M to that version? Or is there any other way I can have a rooted phone? I am by no means an expert with this stuff, but any help would be IMMENSELY appreciated.
Unfortunately, no and no. The consensus seems to be that a new root method is unlikely to be found.

Attempting to downgrade at this point will render the phone useless until you flash the version you are on or higher through Odin.

Update already rooted S7 (+Xposed installed)

Hi guys!
I rooted my S7 (SM-G930F [EU-Exynos]) when i first bought it (1 month after release), i rooted it and installed Xposed.
This was a long time ago, but now my phone is begging me once a day to update (which i cant because it is rooted and i want to keep it that way) and this is annoying me.
Now i read alot of threads about installing 7.0 and rooting it but i have not seen a guide to update a already rooted phone (without loosing data) to 7.0.
May someone be able to help me? I dont want to just flash 7.0 and setup my phone from scratch, just update.
And what about Xposed? Is it going to make trouble if i update? Do i have to update Xposed aswell?
Thanks in advanced!
Xposed doesn't support Nougat / 7.0 yet. If you upgrade to 7.0 you will lose Xposed entirely.
I may very well be wrong, but I don't think you can upgrade to 7.0 without doing a full wipe.

Is it possible to root GALAXY S7 G930F on nougat?

Hello, I trying root my g930f. Phone is on G930FXXU1DQB3 software. I flashed a lot of super su or twrp but no one is working. So i have question: is it possible to root S7 on nougat android without flashing modified ROMs?
Yes, spend some time reading threads and tutorials and you'll find the info you need

let's clear this up

I was reading finally nougat rooted. Does this thread actually work or is there another method to root S6 that is on nougat or marshmallow? I was able to downgrade to marshmallow from nougat but was not able to go back to 5.0 to use ping-pong root. Suggestions?
