Since I haven't found a thread about this, for those who are curious about the screen protectors that are included in the box.
I've tried them on, its not oleophobic and its not scratch proof. Oh and it makes the phone look less good, because of the funny triangle cutoff they made.
Keeping them on for now till i get my hands on some better quality protectors... (getting Spigen GLAS.t) or might as well go naked glass and remove the antishatter film... but a screen like this.. deserves some extra protection... as long the protection itself doesnt make look bad.
Several threads about this already. In every post that talks about the provided screen protectors, it's been discussed they are not oleophopic, etc.

See if you have applied it properly. The NFC logo does cause a bump in the screen protector. Weird.
You still got the NFC sticker on under the back screen protector?

My included screen protectors went on the day I had the phone - in my experience the highest chance of scratching, dropping, scuffing or knocking a new phone is in the first few days and weeks when your hands aren't quite used to the shape and size of it.
I'll keep these on until they start looking tatty - which may not be very much longer, especially for the back one - then relace with something nicer.

It was applied perfectly well thank you very much.
Sony confirmed to me that they cause issues with the camera flash in low light conditions and have agreed to replace my phone due to the original factory fitted protectors being scratched.
Please don't jump to stupid conclusions that people don't know how to apply screen protectors. I am almost 40 and have been using mobile phones since the very first bricks and have been applying screen protectors since they first came out also.
Cheers.

I removed the NFC logo. I'm getting my phone replaced and will be putting the new one in a case and having an invisible shield on the front.
Cheers
I immediately put on the Front AND Back screen protectors included in-box for my C6603 AFTER taking off the NFC sticker, but kept the anti shatter screen on as well, after hearing it was incredibly prone. My XZ hardly picks up any fingerprints or dust, and has no scratches whatsoever. Also, I've found everything about the viewing angles and contrast to really not matter at all in general use - but this is my first phone since the good ol' LG Cookie.
I getting these! http://dx-box.com/imak-anti-fingerprint-layer-screen-protector-for-sony-xperia-z.html
I currently have the screen protectors on that came with the phone and they suck lol ugly triangle cut, finger prints get on easily, scratch easily but, w/e there're temporary no more f****** dust! so, when i get these Imak screen protectors i will let you guys know if they are good or not!

Dude... if you got yours paste by the shop and yours got a bump caused by the NFC sticker... please go and smack the person who paste the SP for you because they should remote that sticker first before pasting the SP.

Hey guys, just found out that there is a purple spot covering half of the lens in circular manner on the camera lens , it can be seen with a some angle.
Is that affects the clarity of images?? And how to clean that.??
Sent from my C2105 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I think that purple spot color acts like a UV filter for light. So i think it's not affecting the quality of the pictures.

Well that is why u get low quality pictures on Xperia L.U use an unnoficial firmware. Also i would recommend u to use the stock firmware 15.0.A.1.36 build as it's best one to get the maximum out of the camera of Xperia L for now.I tested all official firmwares releases from SONY for Xperia L and it turned out that 15.0.A.1.36 build is the best one.

I was using stock one, but fw 15.3.A.1.14 was buggy, camera clarity was not good so I thought it was rom issue , so now im using cm11 , but here too same prob..!

Well the only good firmware that makes the most of camera is the 15.0.A.1.36/JB 4.1.2 and the one u said its buggy and not clear is JB 4.2.2. and yea i know its bad couse i tested them all.
I have same thing on my camera lens and I don't have a problem taking a photo's. They're great. I'm on FXP319 CM 11.
I think lenses really reflect purple light. I noticed that too, no issue on camera quality.
About the same problem
well i had this too on my lens ,,, the clean lens should reflect purpulish green shades in direct sunlight and in direct light generally but the one that RootLord talks about is different it looks as a smudge of grease lending the pictures blurry spetially if you try to capture something that immets light or reflects light like a light bulb or a diamond ring the picture is gets to be blurry ....
this means that the AntiReflective coating is scratched and you must remove it ...
i did it with a mild lens or glass cleaner (like windex or Mr Muscle)and some tissues
apply the cleaner with good amount to the tissue and then scrub the lens thoroughly ... hope this helps

Well definitely nothing touchs the actual lens that's inside the lens barrel I'm talking about the lens cover
look at the attachments mine is the white one... The black on its my wife's and as you can see its in a good shape... You can actually see the residual coating on my lens... I will try to give you some shots b4 and after scrubbing the scratched AR coating
Note that the black one is taken by my mobile And sorry about the inconvenience caused by me saying the good lens should look like purplish green... Actually that's the bad one like mine the good AR coating should look like the black one and I don't know what scrached mine it was driving me nuts... Hope that this helps you
some pics as i promised
these two before it gets scratched
and these are after the AR coating got scrached (dont know how till now)
notice the light bleed around the edges
notice the bleeding of wihte
and these are after i removed the coating
white bleeding is minimal again but not as sharp as it was with the AR coating but far better than with a scratched one

i added the pictures sorry for the inconvenience
I use FXP 319 and the picture quality is the best.in daylight is not better than old 4.1.2 (.36 if i recall well),but in low light is way better. The photo just has more detail in it,not too much noise, faster capture.
The time also removed that UV protector or whatever it was from my camera lens and I didn't noticed any difference. For photos aganist the sun just use HDR and you're good to go!
For now,I don't think they worked a lot on camera, but from what I've read FXP 324 should be a big release and I hope they'll fix everything about camera.
Also, there are some rumors about jellybean 4.3,so maybe Sony will provide us after all the best camera performance...or it will be a big disappointment as all the updates release by now.
All the best !
Hi Everyone,
I recently bought a Oneplus one and am a bit disappointed with the display. Besides having the yellow part at the bottom, when I look a little at it at an angle I see the screen tint to whitish almost blue and this effect increases as my eyes level to the surface, this is best seen by looking from the right corner of the screen with a black background. Is this normal? I only need my head to be slightly away from the screen to notice it. Also I notice light bleed from the top.
Let me know if this is just an effect of the LCD display and if its normal. I've used amoled displays before this.
Regards,
Bobbie

I don't have this issue on mine. Honestly though, why is it such an issue? The scenario you're describing would just never happen in the normal use of the phone, nobody looks at their phone on such an angle when using it.

Hi Heisenberg,
Thanks for the quick reply. I do notice it during normal use otherwise it wouldn't be a problem. The phone is on the left side of my computer now and as i'm looking at it I notice the whitish blue tint while using a black background.

Fair enough. Dunno what to say though, I have two of these and neither of them have a tint when viewed on any angles. I initially thought my screen protector might be why but that can't be the case because one of them doesn't have a protector on it.

Mine does have a screen protector on it that was already on it when I received it, could it cause some kind of tinting? I only see it from an angle not if i just look down from the top to the bottom of the phone, then it looks perfect.

It's possible. Those films that come already on the phone aren't actually screen protectors as such, well they're not meant to be used for an extended period of time anyway, they're really just to give light protection during the shipping process. I'd recommend you remove that one and get yourself a good tempered glass protector. The Nillkin 9H is exceptional and it's quite cheap too (less than $10).
Hi,
Just got this phone and I can't be 100% if it has a screen protector fitted to it already or it is one of the normal in box protectors just a bit thicker.
I don't really like it to be honest - I normally don't use screen protectors so wonder if someone removed it from theirs and how it is.
Thanks

It's a factory installed screen protector.. If I'm not mistaken, most honor phones come with one installed.. Like the 7x as well.. Up to you if you want to remove it..

Cheers, that's what I suspected..
The screen feels too resistant and a bit like an old tactile touch screen instead of a smooth 2018 screen with it on.
. I'll try it for a few days before I decide to take it off or not.

If you're on the latest 130 firmware version, touch sensitivity has gone down from the factory 100 version. It might not be the SP fault for low sensitivity..

Without the poly film screen is better. In fact with poly film the touches were sometimes not working and was not that smooth. For better experience you should remove it and use the phone or use any screen protector. Honor can ship something better in future.
The back cover is fine though and looks good with phone
On my phone the screen protector is not applied properly. It is at a slight angle so there is a small gap on the top half between the protector and the edge of the screen. That makes a sliver of brighter screen; it looks a bit weird.
I've just noticed how dirty this screen protector gets. It seems to catch fingerprints into a dull grey film and it doesn't wipe easily. I will have to remove the thing.

Anyone else got green tint on their display? Doesn't bother me when not using dark mode but it's annoying. Is it hardware problem or can it be fixed with a future update?

Mine got the gradually increasing green-tint from top to bottom on some dark grey background, but it turns out that the tint is miui 12 dark-mode itself. Its the default color-gradient i think. On image or games it did not happen, and im sure it is intended to be that way.
Are yours had green-tint all over the display? If so, you can always try to reduce the green color in advanced color settings. Or else just claim replacement on warranty i guess.

I did wonder if it were the default colour gradient. I can only see it on dark grey backgrounds, for example XDA labs shows it. I have it horizontally across the top (1cm below status bar?)
One plus more has same problem I guess.
I don't know exactly but last day I faced 3 problem but tinting..might be my mistake by I saw a greenish tint slightly..
I've still got the screen protector which is came from factory... guess I'll have to change it too..
No green tint here. It was the first thing I check when I get the phone.
Same here. green tint on low brightness and dark colors. It's annoying AF

I dont see it on XDA Labs, but I do encounter it randomly, especially when brightness gets lower. Weird, but doesnt really bother me since I've ran lot of display tester app from play store and I cant spot any fault on mine. Thats how i draw my conclusion that it could be just the UI feature/bug.
