Requirement
USB Drivers for S520 installed on your PC
The device must have debug mode activated
Package :

Install
Unzip the package on your computer
Plug your device (with USB debug activated)
Bootloader check for unlock
We will check the version of your bootloader, verify if it is compatible with this Unlock method
Reboot in Fastboot mode with
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
Start the custom boot for unlock check
Code:
fastboot -i 0x0502 boot S520-check.img
On the screen you should have :

'printf' found at address [xxxx]
'write_aboot' found at address [xxxx]
Unlocked : 0
Tempered : 0
Your phone appears to be ready to be unlocked
Done
There must be an hexadecimal address found for the 'aboot' function and the message saying "it's ok"
If not, your bootloader is different and the unlock method will not work.
Reboot your phone by pressing Power for 10s
Unlock
Here we go for the real Unlock !

So after I rooted it I can install the cwm zip through stock recovery or do I flash it with the flashertool from the playstore? Sorry just don't wanna brick my Acer! Just had to wait a month for my new screen!

Yes it is possible to restore the stock recovery if a prior to backup. This is a port of the phone recovery Lenovo K910SS.

I accidentally replaced stock recovery to CWM without backup. Can someone share stock recovery with me?
I'm on s520_1.134_AAP but I think recovery is the same.

Steps to install TWRP
First of all, you will be required to unlock your bootloader.
Activate OEM Unlocking in developer settings
Activate USB debugging in developer settings
Now, open a terminal, if on Linux, or command prompt if on windows, and enter the following:

fasboot oem unlock
Follow the onscreen instructions to unlock your bootloader. THIS WILL WIPE YOUR DEVICE!!!
Once this is complete, it will go back to the fastboot screen.
Now, from within your terminal/command prompt, navigate to the folder where you have downloaded the above recovery.img to.
Enter the following command once there:

fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
This will flash TWRP to your device, overwriting the stock recovery.
Once this is complete, there will be a screen telling you how long it took etc. Now you need to hold down your volume up button, and power button. Keep holding these until you reach the menu for recovery, fastboot or normal mode.
Select Recovery.
This will boot you into TWRP
You will have to go through the setup of the whole android system again, but its worth it you now have TWRP to install the Custom ROMs that will be coming shortly

Is this twrp good for treble GSI install?

I'm assuming this TWRP doesn't have the encryption issue? The one I currently have keeps flagging for a password.

This one is asking for password as well.

Does it actually work with your own password? Only way around it now is to wipe data and reboot into recovery before encryption takes place. Pain in the rear.

I can't get the Twrp flash to work. It stays with the old recovery mode no matter what.
Here's my story. I've managed to apply this correctly once to my phone before, but due to me messing around with system file I've soft-bricked my phone and had to flash the official stock rom for it, I picked the C390_FE_K8B_UMI_20180601_1838 cause "Hey, higher number should mean more recent." I'm not sure what was the version of the phone when it was brand new and now it seems that the phone is completely immune to rooting.
Any idea what I've might done wrong when unbricking my phone?

I managed to get it to work again, turns out I had to let the wireless update take place, then after a couple fails with the "adb reboot bootloader" command I read the list of stuff that gets thrown into cmd when you just do adb. Reading the commands I saw a "adb reboot-bootloader" so I do that one, gets me to the fastboot screen and then I'm able to proceed along with the guide.
Moral: If you have to unbrick the phone by flashing the original rom into it, let the wireless update take place before attempting anything else with the phone.
Thanks for the twrp recovery, now I just gotta defeat the encryption.

I have found 4 Major problems
1:- unable to mount /data/media/twrp/.twrps
2:-After wipe and formate data then internal storage mounted but After reboot and set up the Phone Then TWRP again show Internal Storage (0MB).
3:-Un root in Advanced option not working and MTP also not working. /data and /root and other directories also not visible even all option are marked inside Mount button.
4:- Root install in Advanced option or latest Magisk flash able zip file and Superuser file successful installed but after reboot these apps APK are not present in Apps list. Phone also not rooting via Magisk Patched image.
Request:- Please solve these major issues.
Infinix smart 3 plus(X627) architecture is (ARM) and this Phone support treble Slot A but no one ARM(Slot A and AB) and ARM64(Slot A and AB) GSI image working.
There is no Mooke ROM available for this device.

Reboot Issue

After installing this recovery, whenever I try flashing any zip, I always get same error. 2 section of red lines.

I accidentally locked my bootloader so I can't flash anything yet, I can unlock it after 12hours so i will see if I face the same problem.
edit: so I flashed it and didnt face any problem. like i said after flashing the recovery, go to twrp and then reboot to recovery again. after that you can flash magisk or do the system reboot.

I have seen many people facing this issue where they flashed a OxygenOS rom of different phone ( Due to a idiot youtuber said it can be flashed on all devices )
I recently recieved a POCO F1, with same condition where i cannot update MIUI over Oreo firmware.
So, this guide is for those people who cannot boot any new MIUI other than Oreo OTA
* First make sure you are on Oreo MIUI and your device is working fine.
* Download Latest MIUI A10 OTA and extract it.
* From the above latest OTA pick system, vendor and boot images and place them in any folder.
* Flash system, vendor and boot through fastboot mode using following commands:
fastboot flash system path_to_the_files\system.img
fastboot flash vendor path_to_the_files\vendor.img
fastboot flash boot path_to_the_files\boot.img
* Now Flash lastest recovery for Poco F1 (OOFGang TWRP Suggested ).
* Boot into twrp and flash this fiirmware only (also attached below).
* Format Data and reboot.
* You have A10 MIUI installed.
Notes:
* Dont do anything other than mentioned step else can hardbrick device.

Just a little question: why wouldn't it be possible to flash new firmware (e.g. from https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/firmware/beryllium/) when they are released?

bro, just follow his tutorial, download the extract rom, flash boot, vendor, system dps enter twrp and flash the firmware he put here.

on flashing system.img it gives error cannot flash system.... while other partitions can be ... and can you please tell is it OTA package or fastboot package that we have to extract to get system files ??

did you put the files inside the adb folder and use the commands with the device in Fastboot? the files have to be extracted from the fastboot version
fastboot flash system system.img
fastboot flash vendor vendor.img
fastboot flash boot boot.img
then go up the twrp and flash the firmware

actually u can upgrade but need to remove 3 files corresponding to the bootloader!

Just flash abl.elf and then while flashing anyrom just delete abl.elf file from the zip file and it would work fine

What are the files? abl.elf , xbl and xbl_config ???

So, this guide is for those people who cannot boot any new MIUI other than Oreo OTA
* First make sure you are on Oreo MIUI and your device is working fine.
* Download Latest MIUI A10 OTA and extract it.
* From the above latest OTA pick system, vendor and boot images and place them in any folder.

* Boot into twrp and flash this fiirmware only (also attached below).
* Format Data and reboot.
* You have A10 MIUI installed.
Notes:
* Dont do anything other than mentioned step else can hardbrick device.
* Dont flash any OTA directly on the device either from fastboot or recovery.
* Dont flash new firmware else you can hardbrick device.
* After insatlling MIUI A10 you can install any rom without any probllem just make sure they dont include any firmware.

Bro, i have same problem with my mi 8 devices, i follow u giude: my device working fine with miui global A8; dowload and extract latest MIUI A10 global OTA (.zip file) but don't have system.img and vendor.img, just system.patch and vender too, then i extract a latest fastboot rom and flash vendor, system, boot and it working fine, then i flash latest firmware for mi 8 miui A10. everything lock good but when i format device and :
-reboot system, my devices boot to fastboot mode and can't boot to recovery mode (twrp), i have to flash a old rom again because a new rom with A10 not worked.
-reboot recovery, have same problem like when i reboot system.
can u explain or help me fix this problem, thank you very much.

Replace abl.elf file from miui 12 firmware with miui 9 firmware also when we flash any rom just replace abl.elf or don't flash firmware
For this process no need of miui 9 or 10 rom
Just flash abl.elf file via Fastboot mode

the dev talked about 3 files to change when updating, when I need a flash rom I just remove the 3 files from the install zip and no problem

you have to download the .tgz file, where you can find the flash files on the fastboot. Before everything with the cel working releases usb debugging, put the twrp image and the firmware edited in the internal memory. Now you go into fastboot flash the system, vendor and boot .img, and flash twrp. enters recovery twrp flash edited firmware, format data and reboot

I'm trying to flash OctaviOS and asks for fw 12.0.2, I can just flash the abl. elf and keep the rest as it is? on which flash partition the abl. elf?

I want to install aex 8.0 official build but it's showing u need a firmware from miui A10 based please help me
