This is my first post on this forum. I'm totally new to Android, too: I came from Blackberry.
I've just bought 4030D (dual sim version), and I saw the root guide for 4030E published here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=39390807&postcount=9.
Is it possible to apply this guide to my 4030D too?
Of course, I'll have to get the scatter file from the phone as described here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=38337401&postcount=5 but, after that, the procedure is the same?
Is it correct?

However, I cannot download from the Google Drive of the root guide writer the needed files...

After that, I've managed to "somehow-brick" my phone and reverted to stock via Alcatel One Touch Upgrade S 2.8.0 (last version).
I've put this useful software on my Dropbox public folder https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/39455571/one-touch-upgrade-s-2-8-0-setup.exe

Alcatel S-POP sources are available on Sourceforge, so maybe we'll end up (thanks to Cyberangel) with CyanogenMod on 4030x (see DEV thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2191385).

So there's no CyanogenMod for S'pop yet dang i really want to run custom rom on my 4030a cause the battery life sucks not even a day of use

Ehm, I'm no longer an S-POP owner, so I cannot provide these files easily.
However, you could download Alcatel One Touch Update 2.8.0 from my Dropbox https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/39455571/one-touch-upgrade-s-2-8-0-setup.exe and run it (on a PC with direct Internet connection) in order to fully reinstall your S-POP (4030 model) from scratch, with the latest "official" OS.
Already I tried this method but when i connect my phone i get a message like this:There ins't sofware versions more recent.Your software is the last

Uhm. Did you follow all the instructions? Connecting the phone without battery could help...

I could not find any threads on XDA for the Jiake with stock restore. I did find some other sites using google that had the stock firmware and instructions. This G+ leads you to a site that has a couple of N7100W versions https://plus.google.com/wm/1/116063885587186204085/posts/SqKFQCfYCYk
And the same for the Star...needrom.com seems to have many knock off firmwares and instructions here http://www.needrom.com/download/zlr-f9006/. You need to register to download, but instructions to flash are there if you can get the firmware elsewhere. I am sorry I could not be of more help.
