I have an m8 running Resurection Remix Nougat and I am currently using a 32gb class 10 micro sd card as adoptable storage. (By the way, I have never had a problem with using adoptable storage.) There is conflicting information as to whether the m8 can support the uhs 3 standard in micro sd cards. I want to upgrade the storage to a sandisk xtreme 64gb which has the uhs 3 rating. Has anyone here used a uhs 3 micro sd card with the m8? Is the uhs 3 rating universal standard in that all phones that support micro sdxc can support uhs 3 as well? I have read that there may be extra pins on the card or something like that but I cannot find definitive info.

I'm thinking of changing sd card.(memorette)
I have 16 gb class 10 sdcard, but I need more space so I want to buy 32 gb class 10 sdcard.
any ideas?
you can suggest other manufactures.
I've used Transcend and RiData class 10 micro sd cards. Just make sure they're original and you're good to go
I use lexar 32GB sdhc class 10. No problem with sdext stuff.
due to poor i/o speeds on tf300 is this microsd uhs 32gb card compatible ?
The I/O speeds are related to the internal RAM. If the tablet can accept the UHS format, then you would only be limited by bus speeds--which wouldn't be a problem.
I just replaced my 16GB mini sdhc card with a uhs class 10 32GB from SanDisk, working fine here.
So I read many posts about the GT7+ and 7.7 with a lot of talk about problems with 64gb cards, sandisk class 10 cards, etc. Just curious about people's experiences with getting 32gb cards for this tab? Do other brands of non sandisk 32gb class 10 cards work (read and write) for this tab? Or should I try to find a class 4/6 to be safe?
Thx
The problem with SD cards is that the controller for reading/writing them is not on the card but on the device to save costs on the card side.
This means that your device is limited in SD capacity by its controller. As far as I know, the tab+ lists SD sizes up to 32GB as compatible, so a 64GB card will probably fail (or only show 32GB).
Most 32GB cards should not cause any problem.
Class 10 is always better the limitation with the 64gb must be because your ROM needs to read ExFAT instead of FAT32, i have not try the 64gb and don't know about a specific ROM with ExFAT support but i'm willing to try.
I have been using a class 6 Sandisk 64 card in my 6210 for the past 18 months or so. Before the class 6 card, i tried two class 10 Sandisk 64 cards and they were both unable to be read by the 6210. I tried to reformat them and they were completely unusable afterwards. I then got two Transcend 64 class 10 cards from amazon and they worked fine. I've got those cards in both of my samsung galaxy players (4.0 & 5.0)

Just a little review for anyone interested in a 128gb Micro SD card.
3x 4GB Read/Write run to see how persistent the performance is.
1x 1GB full run
3x 1GB full run
Transfering 21,7 GB of 2080 files to the new SD card (content of old sd card copied from SSD to this card), 17,2 MB/s average write speed.
Note that the external card reader of the Galaxy S4 doesn't support UHS-I, which is why the performance is crippled.
Got the card for 86€ on german Amazon, best and fastest 128gb Micro SD you can get right now.
Hope this helped someone
Nice speeds!
I am planning to buy Kingston 64gb Uhs3 class 10 micro sd card, does anyone know is this card compatible with this device ?
EDIT:
It's working without any problems
